So I feel kind of bad, dissapearing to go to Comic Con for 3 days and then coming back just to post here, but I've always been known as the queen of awkward timing!

CD/DPO of first BFP? 27/12 (today)

How many months/cycles had you been TTGP? 2

What did your chart look like? I wasn't temping this month so it is not much to look at.

What were you doing TGKU? HIO, OPKs, tracking CM and other secondary signs.

How was your timing? -5, -1, 0, 1

What symptoms did you have, if any (CS & CD breakdowns welcome)? I get mittelschmerz, so everything started with that. Then my boobs got tender and that didn't subside after O. The last few days I've been getting the little pops and taps in my lower abdomen that I got last time.

How are you going to/did you tell your partner? TW - I found out this morning after DH went to work. So after work I went to Target and picked up a big brother t shirt for my toddler, got him from school and put it on him. Then when we got home DH got him out of the car and took his jacket off and ta-da!

Anything else to add? I hope for BFPs for all of you and I appreciate the warm welcome you gave me when I started posting here.

Talk about awkward timing!! I'm happy that you got your BFP @futuremrsbrian and that it happened so quickly but to be quite honest this feels like salt in the wounds from someone who has been on the board for less than 2 weeks, wasn't charting, and obviously spent little to no time lurking this board. If you had you would have realized that you posting here would not go over well, especially when the IF thread has been blowing up for the past 2+ months and there are many women on here generally struggling with TTC, those getting ready to start IVF and those struggling after a loss. You really should have just moved on to your BMB quietly

Well then maybe you should post in the rules what the minimums are to be worthy of sharing here. I even double checked them before posting today. I didn't want to just vanish suddenly, and thanks for making me feel bad that we got lucky this round. The only reason I wasn't temping btw was because my thermometer broke mid-cycle and messed it up. But if getting lucky makes me "ignorant", as if I did something to purposefully hurt the people here, I can assure you I won't be back here.

@futuremrsbrian No one here was a jerk to you. In fact, @lulu1180 was totally respectful, and said what a lot of other people were thinking. Most of the time, those that get their BFPs on 1/1 or 2/2 move quietly to their BMB (which you would have known if you had lurked a little longer). Congrats on your BFP

You were rude, inconsiderate and dismissive of the ladies in this board who are struggling in various ways. As PPs have said, you intro'd on May 9th. That would be 13 days ago, just one day under 2 weeks. We didn't have time to get to know you and I didn't recognize you at all because I took a 2 week break when my 12th month started to reset a little mentally. Please apologize to these ladies you offended and continue on to your BMB

Like I said before, we are happy that you got your BFP and that you got it quickly. Those of us dealing with various IF diagnoses wouldn't wish this kind of emotional pain on anyone. The best way this could end is for you to realize you were inconsiderate to the rest of the board and apologize but I don't see that happening

Sorry if I can't find it in myself to feel sorry for you right now. Many of us have said "congrats" "have fun in your BMB" so why waste time around here trying to fight people you don't even know? If I were you I wouldn't bother.

No I didn't jump down your throat. I let you know that what you did was hurtful to many members of this board. And instead of acknowledging it and apologizing, you turned it around, tried to call me the bad guy and played the martyr. And I beg to differ that you did something wrong. Look, I understand that, especially when you did your due diligence and spent time lurking, you end up feeling like you know these people and are grateful to them. FFMC: the two reasons I started participating were because I wanted to chime in and offer support and because of course I was going to get KU PDQ and I wanted to have participated enough that it was legit to make a grad post, I kid you not, not for the AW, but so I wouldn't have to ghost these people I felt close to (through lurking, not because they also felt close to me at that point) and so I could thank them because I was truly so thankful for everything I had learned from them.

The thing is, that if you've never really had to try, you just don't understand how much it sucks to see month 7, 8, 9 and well beyond, to pass a due date with no baby in your arms or your uterus, to be at a point where your next possible due date is a year + past your first one, to be in the "habitual aborter" club, to have at least a dozen people trying to get you pregnant... and then see a grad post that's a 2/2 and tops it off with "I wasn't temping" (yes, I did see the later explanation but it wasn't in the original post).

One of our our members is on cycle thirty-effing-five. Another who is terrified of needles, braved them for IVF, had her egg retrieval today and ended the day with nothing to show for it. And that's just what two of us are going through right now.

I know that you're super excited. I remember the day I got a BFP. I was over the moon, in a daze, and got nothing else done at work. But that's the thing. You already got your prize. I know it was done with good intentions but it did hurt people. Be gracious, recognize that even though you made a good faith effort to understand, you don't, and move on to your BMB.

@futuremrsbrian - I am truly happy that you are well on your way to being a STM! Congratulations! I am probably one of the few people that recognized your name and that's because I remembered your intro and you shared photos of your handmaid's tale cosplay. I think you would have made an excellent addition to our community, but it's painfully obvious that you didn't lurk enough to know how hurtful it is to see 1/1er or 2/2er post on the graduation thread. It's been brought up so many times, it's silly for me to even link some of the recent conversations about it. Like it or not, most people hadn't gotten a chance to know you - not even myself, so it's hard to be overly enthusiastic about your BFP. Have a happy and healthy 9 months.

I realllly hoped one of our regulars (especially an IF lady) finally got her BFP. I don't think seeing two cycles feels any better than a 1/1. Enjoy your BFP, but this thread is for contributing members--people who are actually a part of the membership of the group through their contributions.

I've been posting here weekly for 18 months solid now... trying for the entirity of our young 2-year marriage. You know, I try really, really hard to "keep the faith" and remain as hopeful as possible. I really never open this thread unless I see it explode, because I always assume that when it explodes, it's an IF. And I need to jump on that train and love on my friends. Normally if it's just a moderate amount, I don't bother, because I know it's a regular, but not an IF. And as much as I am happy for them, right now I can only deal with my friends in the IF thread. Because - and this is 100% my bad - even say, a 6 month-er hurts. It's not fair. I know it's not. But it is what it is.

So when I saw this explode I knew it was a friend. And as I opened it I was trying to rack my brain and figure out who was close to testing... and instead I am greeted with this. It's not your fault, OP, that you are fertile. I don't fault you for that. I wouldn't wish thirty-effing-five cycles on my enemies, let alone a stranger.

But Good Lord, I can't anymore. Come on. Really?

IF friends, someone needs to PM me if another one of you graduates because I can't with this thread anymore. I just can't. (But if I ever graduate I'm still posting because eff that).

Congrats @futuremrsbrian. I unfortunately made the mistake once of posting on this grad board. I was used to the old bump boards. Wow had things changed. I also felt the wrath but I understand it now. **TW One month after posting in this grad thread we learned our pregnancy would end a month later in a miscarriage***end TW.

We are now on cycle 4 (TW. 6 A/L)

unless you have been in these great ladies shoes you just can't understand. I do now.

Good luck. May you not come back for at least a year.

No snark question: is there a minimum of time here required? For example, someone who has been trying 6+ but only been posting a few weeks? I didn't see anything in the rules for clear cut time frames.
