So I have to share what happened to me yesterday... was nursing DS, and he had a blowout and poop got on me through the bottom of his onesie. I took off the boob to go clean him up, cue crying at the top of his lungs. As soon as I set him down, ups buzzes my apartment, so the dog starts running around barking like crazy. Went to go sign for the package holding a crying baby with poop on my shirt. #momlife
I was having a rough day today. Nothing particularly bad happened. It was just one of those days where everyone wants something from me and show no consideration for the fact that I already had a large task list.
Well, I took a break from all the things I needed to do so I could play with my son. I threw a blanket down on the floor, laid him on it, and put his rattle socks on him. After babbling at me, laughing, smiling, and flailing his arms and legs he surprised me with a new skill. He rolled over all by himself for the first time (twice actually)! 10 weeks old and he can roll from his back to his belly.
It never ceases to amaze me how he can make me feel better even on the worst of days. Seeing him smile and learn keeps me grounded and reminds me that someday everything I'm going through will pay off and be worth it.
