@caseyw8784 - oh yes. And I'm usually a major eater, so this is really weird for me. All I really want is bagels or toast, and it's all I can do to choke down some protein and vegetables. I've lost 6 pounds in 3 weeks (which is fine because I'm pretty large to start)
Me: 32 | DH: 32 DSS: 5- starting kindergarten this fall! TTC since our wedding: October 22, 2016 BFP #1 5/10/2017!!! *Sadly, we lost our sweet babe on 6/19/17 at 9 weeks, 2 days. But we are made of hope, and we'll be back here soon.*
@caseyw8784 Girrrl, I feel you. I hope we both get some relief of anxiety with our second beta results soon. I agree the HB is the thing to hear but for me that feels like a long ways off so I've tried to promise myself I'll calm down if I get a good second draw. FX crossed for you and sending good vibes!
@slipaustin I have been on the suppositories for almost 2 weeks now. I don't know if I have just gotten use to it or what but the leakage doesn't seem near a bad as when I first started!
I put this as an appointment update but thought I would ask this here - I just got my second beta back so my levels were 13 dpo = 36.5, 15 dpo = 50 (draws about 46 hours apart). The midwife called me herself and said that these numbers looked good. After I got off the phone though I calculated them out though and the rise is about 37% which is only a little higher than minimum viability. Should I be concerned if the midwife is not? I have no cramping or bleeding, I had just hoped to be soothed more by the numbers. She said she would see me in six weeks which seems like a long time, calculators put me at 4 weeks, 3 days using ovulation.
@zamora_spin, I remember during my last pregnancy that there was a woman on my BMB who had low HCG levels that weren't doubling every 48 hours, and someone shared a website that collects data on HCG in early pregnancy. I tried to find it, but I wasn't successful! Essentially, there were countless SUCCESSFUL pregnancies recorded, that had HCG levels similar to yours (not doubling every 48 hours). Also, a lot of sources will tell you that some women have doubling figures every 72 hours. If your midwife is not concerned (someone who deals with this EVERY day), then I would try to rely on her confidence. Remember, you are pregnant today!

@cyanope and @kris031409 Thanks for the info! @cyanope - you have a great point there. If she was worried I assume that she would have asked me to come in for a third draw so I'm going to try to just not think about the numbers and be happy they have gone up!
@zamora_spin Yes. My friend who had two successful pregnancies and is a nurse says many people's double every 72 hours, not every 48 hours and that is considered just as good as every 48 hours!
@zamora_spin When my mom was pregnant with my youngest sister she NEVER got a positive pregnancy test, not at home and not in a Dr's office. Her HCG levels were not detectable at all. She only knew that she was pregnant because at first she missed her period, then they did an ultrasound. Granted this was in 1990/1991, so I'm sure testing has improved. The Dr's couldn't figure out why and how my sister was even alive and growing, but she was perfectly healthy at birth and still doing great 26 years later.

Thank you @EmilyLove25 and @MrsDorkCharming for making me feel better. I am going to run with the idea that if the midwife had any concerns at all about those numbers she would have told me to come in again next week rather than just to come in for my first us more than a month from now. I am even putting a ticker in my signature to really embrace the news.
@zamora_spin yaaay for the pregnancy ticker and your little poppy seed! I agree, I think that your MW would have said something or had you come in sooner if she was concerned. The other thing I keep reminding myself when I start to worry is that I am pregnant right now at this moment. Celebrate this current pregnancy in the moment and enjoy all the time that you are given with this baby.
@KatieEl Isn't that crazy!!! I think it's amazing that it seems to happen more often than people think. My mom only just told me about it since I got pregnant. I knew that pregnancy was a difficult one for my mom (she was also in the very very small percentage of people who's prenatal tests came back positive for a number of major problems, but again she was born without any of the things they said she would be born with) but it's still hard to believe that you could never get a positive test and still have a healthy baby.

Hoping someone can put my mind at ease: while walking I just had TMI a clump of yellowish jelly like discharge. My friend who is a nurse said totally normal and she had it early and often with both pregnancies. I don't remember this with DD. Anyone else ever have this good or bad?
Has anyone started taking B6 to help with morning sickness? I thought about starting a thread for morning sickness relief but thought I'd start here first.
@caseyw8784 I'm in the same boat on the food. Nothing sounds all that great and I'm just not all that interested in eating. I'm managing one "real" meal a day and trying to snack my way into enough calories. Bonus that I'm so frickin constipated that I'm still "gaining" per the scale and look like I'm 5 months along....

Ditto! I'm trying to snack on high fiber things - apple slices with peanut butter, carrots and hummus, etc. But ughhhh I just want to poop
@trudytudy Lemonade really works well for me when I'm hungry, and nothing sounds good and my stomach is starting to get upset (or more upset than normal). I like it first thing in the morning and it's great for in the afternoon when I get off work and need to eat but don't feel like it.

@MrsDorkCharming I know how that goes. I haven't been miserable yet but have had plenty of upset stomach feeling. Sprite made me feel a bit better this week. I bought the B6 and Unisom in case things get miserable (I'm sure they will).
