My UO: I don't think parents should help their kids with school projects. (Obviously some of those projects are so advanced it's insane) but I think by helping, it creates an entitlement issue. I certainly think it's fine to do dangerous things for them. I wouldn't let my 2nd grader do the same things a 6th grader would.
I agree with @aehogan90 Pence would be better than Trump right now. Last night I was actually thinking if there's a way to impeach both the Pres and VP at the same time...
Least Pence probably won't get us into a war via twitter...though I have read that if he knew about flynn and some of the other Russia stuff, which they think he did, than he would be taken down too. Ryan could be in trouble as well. Who knows with this mess.
TW: 1 infant loss 8/17: Our daughter was born 8/18: Our daughter kicked open heart surgery ass 2/19: We lost our son to Prader-Willi/Paradoxical Vocal Cord/ Noonans at 6wks old 4/26/2020: EDD for baby #3!!!
@britvahok Agreed! We need a clean slate at this point. @aehogan90 It's pretty bad here in Kentucky too! I'm in a tiny blue bubble, in an otherwise all red state.
I don't think Pence will escape. Flynn informed the "transition team" in January that he hadn't registered as a foreign agent even though he should have. Head of the transition team was Pence. There's also concrete evidence he lied later when asking about it.
And yeah, I have concerns about how a President Pence will affect the country. LGBT rights, women's rights, etc. But I have graver concerns about how Trump is affecting the world.
@aehogan90 I think that school projects should not require skills that are not age appropriate of a child. I dont mind a parent helping that child with the project, but 100% should be in the childs words. I hate it when parents do the work for the kid. I can remember my parents helping me learn how to center something on a poster, or cut out letters because it was taking forever, but they never once did the actual school work for me.
My UO: I love this weather (its almost 90 and high humidity), and wish it could stay year round. If I never saw a day below 75 again I would be the happiest person alive.

@littlebug2010 I think that's totally fine. Especially since the projects don't always seem age appropriate like you mentioned. But I saw a picture on Facebook the other day of a project done by a 6 year old. My friend goes on and on and on about how she is so proud of her daughter's project. No way the kid did it.

@littlebug2010 Ahhh you're loving this 90 degree weather? I feel like I can't breathe! Although I'm trying not to complain since I bitched all winter about how cold it was.
@secicc12 I really am! I hate the cold, and really only like being outside when its crazy hot, because I get so cold so easily. However, I might eat my words if I have to hide from the heat because I swell up in it. I would rather be hot and able to sit with my feet in the water to keep me cool, than have to put on a ton of layers to stay warm!

Maybe my UO is I'm exactly the opposite. I love layers and DH once nicknamed me Mr. Rogers for my cardigan collection... My theory is that if I'm cold I can always wear another layer, but if I'm too hot, that's it- I'm too hot. And miserable. And sweaty. Winter nights on the couch in full pajamas and a blanket... yasss. Even now it's gotten hot in Chicago, our AC is set to 73* and I'm under a blanket on the couch. Cozy!
@DeansGirl14 I have a ton of layering options, and I freeze when the wind blows too hard on an 80+ degree day. I just hate that I almost always have to wear layers, and never just get to wear the dress I bought, in fear that might get cold. Plus because I get cold so easily, I find that all I have to do to cool off is get a cold drink or stick my feet in cold water, and I'm fine. I grew up in Maine, where 90+ degree days were few and far between, so having a few in May has been amazing for me! Keep em coming!

In my dream world both Trump and Pence are impeached and removed from Office, but Pence gets impeached and unseated after the 2018 mid-term elections when hopefully the Democrats take control of congress and elect Bernie Sanders as the Speaker of the House. Hence giving us President Sanders.
Together: January 2002 Married: May 2008 Baby: August 2017
Clearly we like to rush along at lightning speed...
Re weather: it got up to 80 yesterday and it's low 60's today and it'll be back to low 50's tomorrow. I'd love to be laying on the couch trying to stay cool (becuase Europe doesn't believe in A/C). Coming from Guam to here has seriously got me missing the sun.

Bernie is a Senator. He also would never be selected Senate Pro Tem (next after the speaker) even if dems took the Senate because he's not a democrat.
ALSO it is basically impossible for the Dems to get control of the senate in 2018. Only 8 republican seats are up for reelection. The house is a challenge but the Senate is not happening.
@Mango517 YES! I have heard it will take a while for the entire process, especially if they go after Pence as well, so I am hopeful your thoughts become reality.

Hey, I was nice and didn't add "also, fuck Bernie Sanders." So.
Absolutely, the other options this election were 5 star. Excellent choices. The best the USA has to offer. And the people who supported one of our wondrous candidates over the other are always so eloquent and kind toward others. It's truly difficult to see how we ended up in this mess to begin with.
My UO, I enjoy opening The Bump and not seeing political talk. It's EVERYWHERE and I'm just sick of it. This is typically one place I don't see it and that makes me happy.

Agreed, it's the main reason I left the private group for my last BMB.
I tend to ignore the political talk also, not really a fan. It makes people treat other people so ugly. My most firm stance this last election was wow how the hell did we let this happen??
My UO (more of a complaint really) is parents that take parent and me anything super seriously. We had rehearsal for our recital today and good gravy those moms. I feel so bad for our instructors.
@bumpybump I am actually the same, so I apologize for for setting the tone.
Regarding weather, it's been 90 here the past few days & soooo hot. I'm ready for the pools to open! We always get a kiddie pool for the backyard, and I'm ready to post up on the porch with my feet in it.
@PinkPrincessPiper the kiddie pool was out four days in a row here (Saturday-Tuesday) but as much as I want to stick my feet in to cool off, DD is a huge splasher and I don't want to be soaked. #funhater
