@ElizabethSchuyler I think some people do it out of a genuine kind heart, like, "Hey. I didn't realize how hard it was. Just don't beat yourself up, it's going to be worse than you think and you aren't a failure if you don't go natural." but it comes out wrong. Don't you think?? Otherwise, it just doesn't make sense to me why otherwise SUPER kind women in my life would say some of the discouraging things i've heard them say.
All 3 of my kids have been napping together for an hour and a half. This never happens. I've gotten so much done. And done a lot of pointless things like snacking and bumping
So I just had my NT scan and my fiance left to go back to work after the ultrasound because it was taking so long. The doctor I saw after was saying something about my placenta covering my cervix and I can't have sex until they check it again at my 20 week ultrasound. I couldn't understand everything because she had a heavy accent and I really wish my fiance had been there to hear that cause he's not going to believe me.

Call your doctor to get more information. I think it's called placenta previa? One of my mom friends had it. Hers ended up migrating further away from the cervix as her pregnancy progressed, but she was on pelvic rest for most of her pregnancy. I know there can be some complications if it doesn't move from the cervix. It's definitely something to discuss with your doctor.
@amber0529 why would your fiance not believe you? If indeed he won't, sorry that's a little insensitive of him. I hope he understands that you are worried and just need him to listen to you and would not make this up.
@bcashaw my friend and I were just talking about that. I have SO many striped shirts I got as hand me downs, which is fine, but I get huge when I'm pregnant. The belly doesn't need any more optical illusion assistance lol
@bcashaw I can understand that. I'm pretty thin to begin with but I found nothing could possibly hide a big belly from the side but it did give the illusion of not such a belly from the front. These pics are from DD2.
We don't have air conditioning. The heat does not bother me if we end up with an air conditioner this summer it will be because I cannot stand listening to my kid complain about it anymore
Ahhhhh I've missed so much!! I have had a crazy two days and haven't had much time to bump and all of sudden I come back to catfishing stories and group hugs! How long have I been gone??
Um I contacted my insurance company just to see what my breastpump options were... just checked my front door and the fancy one I wanted was sitting there ALREADY! I don't know why they sent it so early but I'll take it! One less thing to worry about later!
Does anyone else get really anxious doing kegels? I try and hold them but literally the feeling of it makes me full of anxiety. Idk how else to explain it.
@DuchessOfCambridge do squats instead! Strengthens your pelvic floor and other muscle groups used in vaginal delivery. I was up to 200/day before DS was born. I do like 75-100 now but will build back up. I just break them up in groups of 10 or so whenever I have a minute. Like in the shower, or waiting on the microwave, commercial breaks, times like that.
@duchessofcambridge@baycamp you can also do squats with your feet in a plié position and it works our upper inner thighs a lot. That one REALLY helps. I didn't practice kegels per se. I practiced stopping my pee since I had to pee in a cup so much at the doctor. That's how I got those in. But the plié squats are gold.
A car just rammed into times q killing one person and injuring several. My husband works right down the street from where this happened and its freaking me out as he won't answer his phone and all I can hear is sirens running around from my window. Gaahhhh! I hate the way the world is sometimes. Answer your god damn phone!! I am not doing good with Anxiety today.

My OB told me to hold off doing Kegels when pregnant. She said to start them up immediately after, but that she wants my pelvic floor loosey goosey (her words) for birth.
@kissthesky32 I've also read that there is plenty of evidence to support to fact that kegels during pregnancy are ineffective. I've *never* done them. I do not pee when I sneeze (except when I'm pregnant )
Eta: I don't think they hurt anything or anyone shouldn't do them. I just haven't.
I bought new bras today for super cheap because let's be honest they won't fit for long. But now I'm way too lazy to change my bra. But I must. But I'm so tired
Just realized a name that fits my criteria (I have specific things that need to be met) combined with our last name would be that of a pretty (currently) famous person. DH didn't think it was as funny as I did.
@DuchessOfCambridge yes re: kegels!! I thought it was just me! Sometimes I get nauseous doing them too. So weird. I've been doing squats when kegels aren't working for me.
Re: Weekly Randoms May 15
DS1 is 7. DD is 1. DS2 is coming in late April.

But I must.
