Which is is another reason I don't contribute often because by the time I log on to read/respond, I feel like what I'd say has already been said multiple times. Also, I only mobile bump and interacting/tagging people is hard
Just my two cents as a semi-lurker/participater: I like the organization and I think most people have been super nice to those who don't read the rules and make extra threads. I don't mind it when people start new threads that aren't on the schedule as long as they are 1) relevant to people other than the user who started it and 2) something we haven't discussed in length already.
Another reason I tend to stay quieter is because, as a third time mom and a loss momma, I have a lot of strong opinions on things (which is not exactly the way to word that...I have a set way of looking at things?) which works fine for me, but I know new moms like to try things and see what works for them, and I don't want to come off as I think I know everything. I know what works for me. Does that make sense?
I haven't been as active this last week or so because I'm moving. 10 more days and you'll probably be sick of me (again?! hehe). I like the organization, but also support regular contributors making one off posts. We all know the individual posts that make the board a mess and I think we've done a good job redirecting the clueless newbs who post them.
So I am in the market for new makeup. I need options that veer on the affordable side (read: probably not from department stores or sephora). I am looking for foundation and/or compacted powder and mascara. I have rosacea so I do prefer/need something that has good coverage. I randomly bought this and I hate it. Would love to hear if you ladies have any products that work for you! Thanks!
@flowerpower5838 My favorite "drug store" brand is No. 7. I used to only be able to find it at Target, but now Walgreens sells it and they have makeup counter girls who can actually test you to see what color works best for you. It's on the pricier side of drug store, but still way cheaper than the prestige brands. I need good coverage too, but I hate feeling cakey. This is what works for me. (I also use a pressed powder, but it's Urban Decay. I'll probably try out a No. 7 powder when mine runs out, but I use it pretty sparingly, so it's lasted since September.)
I get where you're coming from, @NME44, but at the same time, I'd love to hear your experienced opinion on things! There are always times where something works in your head or on paper, but not in real life! Please don't be afraid to share your expertise!
** December BMB Siggy Challenge - Animals in Pools **
Me: 31+ H: 32 TTC Since 11/2015 #1 - MMC 6.5 weeks (2/16); #2 - MC due to cystic hygroma at 20 weeks (10/16); #3 CP (2/17); #4 - Due 12.16.17
@flowerpower5838 I jumped on the Younique train. I do love their products.
So, this morning my grandma passed away. She had hip surgery on Saturday and ended up getting fluid around her lungs and heart and getting an infection and having a heart attack. We held off telling our parents we were expecting this last weekend because of that and a lot of people around... I think it will mean a lot to my mom now when we tell her.. there was something else I had been thinking about for the last couple weeks and it makes sense to me today... So, my grandma would of conceived my mom on (or around) March 25. My mom was born on Dec. 15. My mom had me on March 25. I conceived this baby on March 25 (positive on that) and my EDD is December 15. How is that for full circle? It also leads me to believe it is going to be a girl this time.
While I'm all for organization, I also think that there are some things that can and should have their own threads. But thats just me. I also don't have much to say thats important, so I just don't post. Also, I HATE the mobile app, but my computer is a piece of crap and doesnt hold a charge longer than a few hours. Ugh.
DD is draining my energy. She's on the cusp of being able to walk on her own, so we are constantly on the move, holding onto moms fingers. And when we aren't on the move, she usually has my phone watching Sunny Bunnies on youtube. Don't judge.
Andplusalso, I live for the snark. I don't know y'all enough to feel comfortable being my snarky self, so I go snark on Facebook.
On that note, I feel like poo, I saw what was for dinner twice (once when I made it and once in the shower. Let me tell you, stir fried noodles with veggies are not easy to squish down a cross hatched drain), and I'm going to bed.
Am I the only one who stares at my stomach every day evaluating it? This is gonna sound weird but I look at my abs and try to figure out what's happening with them is the muscle decreasing etc lol. I think I'm just super intrigued by what changes will come and how my fitness will impact it

@AMCsquared lol I look at my belly and think "wtf have I done to myself?!" on many occasions. Then a tiny pterodactyl shrieks in the next room and I remember what I did. I made a human! And I'm making another! And I remember that I can rebuild those muscles
with this pregnancy, I'm trying my hardest to remain physically active and push myself to not be lazy. I need and want to set positive habits for my children, and that starts with me, and it starts now.
haha @sdLindenberg that wild animal in the other room! on the note of knowing we can get back into shape afterward too, i'm now starting to obsess over finding ways to make the ab muscles better for post-preg. (i've always been the work out person who doesn't care how any part of my body looks except for my abs)

I'm sure it's partially due to hormones but I'm full on crying over the passing of Chris Cornell. I grew up listening to his music, it's very special to me. I'm grateful I was able to see Soundgarden perform live last month, which was LO's first (in utero) concert.
No hump day/bump day this week? I know some people think it's pointless this early on. We all know it's more so bloat at this point, but I still love seeing those blumps!
@AMCsquared my stomach has always been the one part of me that has been flat/small. I loved watching it grow with DS and REALLY struggled with the full/softness of it after he was born. It was really hard mentally to allow myself to rehab and heal properly, because I just wanted my flat stomach back. To quell your fears, it did come back! I would say I was comfortable in my skin about 6 months pp, and just before I got KU again I felt like I had rockin abs and actually LOVED my body, both how it looked and felt. It is possible, but you have to do it the right way so you don't risk injuring yourself and setting yourself back and making the road back to fitness even harder and longer than it needs to be!
I got bumped to Nov but still Thursday, work is super busy today so I haven't been on much. Hoping to still hang out in Dec bec joining Nov Nov now may be awkward.

Does anyone else find it so awkward to share you pregnancy news? Like, there is no natural segue into that conversation. We are ready to start telling close family members and I'll likely share with close friends at a wedding next weekend, but I always felt SO effing awkward during my last full-term pregnancy.
Love you ladies! Nov 30th and if I have GD again, then its an induction (again) the day before Thanksgiving. However, I'm probably in the select few that loved being induced. I was 4cm when I went in though, so I got very little pitocin. Edited bec I suck at spelling.
I have to have a c section again and I was thinking that it would be the week of thanksgiving or the week after because my doctor only does surgery one day a week but luckily she moved days so my c section will be December 1st barring my high blood pressure and getting preeclampsia a second time

Yeah, sharing the news is kind of awkward. The reactions vary from "OMG IM SO EXCITED!" to "oh, ok cool."
btw, this little brat on the playground is sitting next to me and just SCREAMED BLOODY MURDER in my effing ear foand no reason. I hate other people's kids sometimes.
@whiska I started Thursday ticker tonight as realised no one else had. I posted in wrong one last time as was not clued up on what I was doing on this app lol. Hope you and the other Thursday ladies continue to post.
@AMCsquared I'm constantly watching my stomach for any signs of growth... Not seeing any abs though
@tmk0325 so sorry for your loss. Think that's fascinating how all your dates are aligning, I am definitely a believer in destiny and how everything happens for a reason. Warm thoughts to u and your family
@flowerpower5838 Yes I feel so awkward! I started telling people at work and I'm hoping everyone will just spread it around so I don't need to tell anyone else.
@flowerpower5838 maybe next wednesday. It's too late in the game for this week. Also, I don't actually like to post my own picture, i just like to see what others have got going on! Lol
So it looks like we are definitely selling our house and moving out of state, though my dh works from home so we're not exactly sure where we'll go yet. The realtor wants to list in like a week and I'm freaking out! So much to do and I have to take breaks every 20 minutes. This must be what torture feels like.
