@BabyWnumbertwo, I'm sorry you're having this happen; I know it's scary but hopefully it's just progesterone. Unfortunately, if you are having a loss, there's nothing anyone can do about it at this point in the pregnancy, so the nurse's advice was sound, even if not particularly helpful. That being said, if it's going to make you stressed all weekend, you can certainly go be checked out in ER.
@BabyWnumbertwo I'm sure you've already decided what you're going to do at this point, but I'm sending you good thoughts. If it were me, I'd go to the ER. Just for peace of mind. If you think things are wrong, trust your instincts.
Anyone else have tightness in your upper belly/sternum? I feel like I can't get a good deep breath, and I'm very tight about three inches center of chest below my nipples. This is my second pregnancy and I don't remember this with my last one but that was 2 years ago.... I don't even remember what I had for breakfast yesterday LOL!
@karabrown it could be reflux/heartburn and/or gas bloating in your stomach. That can cause that tight and full feeling you're describing. Try walking, moving your torso around in circles, sipping water slowly, just doing some house chores like laundry or dishes... I have severe GERD and these are my tricks! What makes it worse is if I just sit or lay down. Try to eat super bland foods for the next few days and see if that helps (no tomato, citrus, caffeine, chocolate, peppermint. I basically eat oatmeal, pears, applesauce, plain chicken, and very little dairy when I'm trying to heal my stomach)
If you find yourself struggling to take a deep breath with pain call your ob line, and if you start coughing up even a little bit of blood go to the ER.

@BabyWnumbertwo I think you should follow your gut instinct..Brown spotting is considered by most OBs as normal during first tri; it could be from an irritated cervix or old blood making its way out. I had brown spotting from week 5-6; my progesterone did end up being low and I'm on supplements now but the RE felt short of saying that's what was causing my spotting but I will say it stopped as soon as I started supplementing. Hugs
I have my glucose test in a couple of hours. I am just dreading it. I feel like I already know the result since last time I was diagnosed early. Ugghhh.
Good luck, @jlemons-2 - I have a feeling I'll have GD this time around too. I didn't have it last time but I'm pretty sure I won't be so lucky this time.
