Weekend Randoms

Re: Weekend Randoms

  • Do any of you wake up incredibly achey now? This past week I've been waking up feeling like I was hit by a truck (not cramps). Mainly my abdomen muscles, knees and lower back. It's a similar feeling to when I was a young waitress working double shifts, if that makes any sense.
Yes! Especially my pelvic area. The bones feel like they are breaking apart!

  • Happy Mothers Day ladies!

@lola4411 My DS turned 2 in Feb. He's been in a big kid bed since December but the super early wake ups just started a few weeks ago. He might be a bit too young for the clock but I'll try anything!

  • Happy Mother's Day to all of us!!!

I have been a little achy, but I've also been having stabbing pains in my abdomen. Yesterday we went out to run errands and after the first one I had to go home and lay down. I think it's RLP... does that sound right?

@ChocolateIsLife I still take baths with epsom salts at least once a week. Not scalding hot, but they aren't lukewarm either. My doctor said it's fine as long as I don't feel like I'm overheating.

  • @bluejeanbabi05 I hope you love it! My cats hijacked mine but I'm washing it so that I can use it tonight.

  • My lower back literally feels like it's going to split in half, like the left side of my pelvis is going to fall apart from the right side. I had this with my son but it was so much later in the pregnancy.

  • @ChocolateIsLife I second what @roo_baby said - decently hot bath with Epsom salts. Works wonders! Having your snoogle back will help too. Propping pillows behind me, in addition to my pregnancy pillow, gives a little more support and helps with aches at night. Short walks have helped too. Unfortunately, this is how I felt with DD and realize this is part of the pregnancy "fun"! Just be sure to keep moving. It gets worse the more you sit.
  • @nbcarlson same!! I had the same issues with DD but it didn't show up until at least 25 weeks. I just love how everything happens sooner the second time!
  • @bluejeanbabi05 I LOVE it. Your sweet dog is probably thinking "my human is the best, she really didn't need to get me this. Oh wait, yes she did!"

@bluejeanbabi05. @ChocolateIsLife. A friend of mine gave me her snoogle to use for the rest of my pregnancy since I had been having rough nights too.  I used it last night for the first time and it was AWESOME.  my dog also loves it haha
  • @ChocolateIsLife my friend suggested a maternity support belt. She said it helped her a lot. I had this pain with my last 2, but never this early. I might go pick up a belt and see if it helps.
  • @ChocolateIsLife yes on the aches and pains. One morning I woke up and it felt like aches from the flu but I felt fine otherwise, and no fever. Now it's exactly like @sdarling2010 said. Snap crackle and pop.

Do you have time to see a physio? My friend had this problem and went to a physio then started with pilates and she said it really helped.

I do have time but pilates sounds like a nightmare lol.

  • @kkerner87 I'm sorry you're having anxiety over the scan, truly, but I'm dying laughing over here from your dreams.

@kkerner87 Try to hand in there! Those dreams must be awful. I had a dream some physic lady told me it was a girl and then I decided to skip my AS altogether. I woke up in a panic, and had to reassure myself it was just a dream.

I was just catching up on this thread and I've been so achy too. My feet like hurt soo bad in the morning its so weird. Its like they're stiff or something. Also, if I sit too long, my back aches and its hard to get up lol.
  • @bluejeanbabi05 same! I felt bad for cracking up but that hand sticking out took me over the top  :D

@Brambles23 lol that's great. The part about Chris Pratt selling you the baby tub was the cherry on top lmao!

ETA: I had the same kind of dreams with DD. Onetime i had a dream i gave birth to a fully grown man. And then another with a cat. I tried to breastfeed it in church, lmao. idk. Weird dreams are a huge side effect for me i suppose my love for cats really start to show in my subconscious.
