I got a snide comment in the elevator at the hospital this morning. From a nurse. "I hope that's not coffee you're giving your child."
"I can very safely have one cup of coffee a day. Thank you."
Cow.
Ugh it drives me nuts when I hear people say you can't have any caffeine during pregnancy. There are numerous sources of reputable information that say it is fine in moderation! People should inform themselves before judging others!
Thank you @cmar1006 for the idea of banana chocolate chip muffins. I went to the store at midnight last night because they sounded sooo good and i didn't have chocolate chips...I think the whole dozen might be gone by the end of the day

I just pulled butter out of the freezer to come to room temp. You said "chocolate chips" and I decided I needed some of "Jena's Jesus cookies" (my adaption from a recipe for cookies at the Christian summer camp our family is involved with).

These get absolute RAVE reviews every time I make them. My sister and niece were SUPER disappointed when I didn't send any for Christmas this year (just had too much going on to be baking).
Yay! You can adjust the ratio of toffee to dark chocolate to milk chocolate to suit your tastes, but what's listed in the recipe is what we like best. I make these on my "pizza" stone, and I always preheat the stone before the first round of cookies.
I LOVE flowers. DH knows this. Get me flowers for any celebration and I am a happy camper. But I'm also a flower snob! I like beautiful multiflower arrangements thoughtfully done! .. not 5 dollar Gerber daisy bouquets from walmart. Like dh thought I would LOVE so he bought them for me for Mothers Day. I love my husband and his thoughtfulness! Im so thankful he honored today for me! But I hate Gerber daisies I'm so ungrateful.

Me toooooo. DH bought me roses for our first Valentine's Day... I hate roses (after about day 2, they just smell like decay to me). He hasn't gotten me roses since. I like to think I'm pretty easy - just give me a bunch of oriental lilies, and I'm happy (NOT Asiatic... then I get cranky). He got me a gorgeous bouquet for our A/S day a few weeks ago, and bless him, he tried - he went the day before and Woman 1 told him she had no Oriental lilies, but would have some the next day. The next day, Woman 2 gave him Asiatic lilies.... The bouquet was beautiful, but I was underwhelmed (quietly, because I know he tried, and I know he specified).
@jena333-2 haha I'm legit dying, I got the exsact same flowers but I liked them because I know nothing about flowers and I just like presents. But I have like no standards when I comes to flowers all I know is carnations are supposedly tacky according to wedding magazines.
Mother's Day present side note my husband also got me a really pretty ring engraved with our baby's name. And I am a jewelry snob, it was totally well done and up to my standards lol
