Due date is 11/10. This happens to be the same birthday as my nephew Charlie, who passed away in Afghanistan. If baby arrives on schedule (lol), boy will be Charles Eugene, girl will be Charlotte Sue. Middle names are set regardless. A girl born on a date other than the 10th, will most likely be Nora Sue. And for boys...OY...so many constantly running through my head, yet I have yet to fall in love with any of them. Hopefully, this, and "Belly Bean's" 160 bpm heart beat, means I'm having a girl lol

Ok we thought we had a girl name figured out but nope. Change of plans!
We want to do Joy for middle name (my DH grandma and his sisters middle name). We have a son named Jonah. I looove classic and vintagy type names. Any ideas?
@KMRR86 not gonna lie, I know a little boy named stone and it's REALLY cute and totally suits him. Would he be up for an inanimate object in a foreign language that sounds more name-like to you? This would be the part where I would insert an idea but I don't speak any other languages well enough to think of one
Last night my mom suggested Christian for a boys name, it's my middle name, with the nickname Kit. Surprisingly I really like it. I wanted something with a single syllable NN and didn't want Chris.
Thanks! The more I think of it the more I love it. I haven't mentioned it to DH yet so I hope he's on board. Our girls name is set but we're stuck for boys names
Got around to googling the baby's name. Arima is typically a boys name in Japanese culture (which is how my family got it as a surname I imagine) and it means racing horse. BUT in basque it is a typical feminine name and it means soul. So of course now I love the name even more and we are definitely set on it. But DH keeps making jokes about naming the baby something else (like buzz after my mom's bird) and I'm feeling sensitive about it because we had this name chosen for so long. And it's after my grandmother who passed away recently. And it's a family name which is important to me. And he already has 3 kids all of whom he named after his family. And he agreed that he likes the name so I don't understand why it seems like he's always making fun of it. I dunno I'm probably over reacting, but it's really hurting my feelings.
@bcashaw I totally feel you. I'm actually pretty upset w dh about names too. He picked the name for ds1 and chose his grandfathers name as a middle name. Which is fine (I'm pretty blah about my in laws but like the name). Now every time I bring up a name he has a comment about it. For ex I love Wyatt for either first or middle but this guy he hates gave that name as a middle name to his son so that's off the table. And he always has an excuse. Now he saying he wants Edward which is his fathers middle name but I honestly can't stand my fil. Or he'll say he wants to name our son tiger. Really, dude ? Don't know if it's pregnancy hormones or what but it's really hurting my feelings, more than it would usually.
That's just my long rant to say I totally identify. Ps love the name Arima.
@bcashaw I actually thought Arima was a girl's name. I thought it sounded Arabic as I have friends that have similar sounding names! It's definitely beautiful!
We have a Scarlett Elizabeth. I'd like to maybe have another S name but I have no clue. We'll probably be team green again, I was convinced I'd have a boy with my first because I didn't like any boy names. Hopefully that isn't the case again
I think we're 99% sure on George Vernon for a boy, now. Still no clue for a girl. I probably have 10 that I like equally. I don't think I'll think much more about it until after our AS.
@TeacherMama7 Oh Aeila is lovely but it's close sounding to Kayla which is my nieces name We have an Isaac (m) Mackenzie (m) Bailey (m) Saarah (f) Siena (f) Hannah (f) Olivia (f) Charlotte (f) Malakye (m) variety of malachi Kayla (f) Natalie (f) Ariella (f) Liliana (f)
I love reading all these because we are lost on a girls name. We picked a boys name a long time ago, Raymond James after our grandfathers and I think we are just hoping it's a boy. We have an Ava and a Madeline now.
KLink15 I actually love this idea too and recently told DH I had half a mind not to decide for sure until we meet baby (team green). I don't mind baby going a day or two as "baby" - heck - they'll have gone by it for 9 months at that point! Our current front runners are: David Cooper Andrew "Drew" Cooper and Samantha or Hannah Cooper is DH's middle name and a family name. I love trendier names but DH does *not*. My current girl favorite is Felicity Alicia meaning "happy fairy" which I think is adorable and we could call her "Lissie". DH is SO not on board though...

@cmessamore funny thing is Charlie is on our list BECAUSE of the band lol! I love the names you gave, one was on our list already. @Airynn Chica thank you! Love the names ...sending the lists over to DH
We were joking around on the way to ultrasound this morning that we should name baby after the things we love most in this world... so baby's current joke name is Caffeine Whiskey.
We used the only boy's name we totally agreed on for ds (William Stuart) Stuart is my husband's middle name and his dad's twin's name. For a girl we love Ashlyn, and either Renae or Rita for the MN. Renae is my and my mom's MN, and Rita was my husband's grandmother. I also love Abigail, Gail for short, but my husband decided he doesn't like that one much. If this one is a boy the only name we both currently like is Kaladin, which is a character from a book we both love. We would call him Kal for short. No ideas for MN yet.
Deciding on a boy name has proven stressful... he's not taking it seriously because he believes in his heart baby #2 is a girl. We switched up the middle name form Emilia Elise to Emilia Grace and I'm okay with that... but I'm having a terrible time convincing him that Leon Vincent is a beautiful name to accompany our DS Ronin Alexander. He just shuts it down without contributing any names. I love all the names you ladies are posting. I just can't believe how picky he is being with names.
@irishfrisky when I was pregnant with DS3, we struggled picking a boys name. All of our boys were two syllables and end in N (Jason, Evan, and Nolan). So we tried to find a name we both loved and came up with Bacon!! So that became DS3's nickname till he was born! Then we went with Dustin, but I still like bacon! Lol
Told DH that we should go but a diet coke from a machine and whatever name is on the bottle is the name we go with. He's not a fan of my plan it's amazing how life experienced play such a roll is picking a name.
We're having a girl. Hallelujah, because my fiancé was wanting to name the boy Niklaus so we could call me Klaus like the character from the Originals. Lol he also threw out Jackson Avery lmao. I had to remind him that that's one if my Greys Anatomy crushes lol he quickly remembered and tossed that off the table. He's a closet Greys fan.
@LadyBugMe101 I have a girls name picked that I'm in love with. DH keeps telling me no but won't give ideas. For the boy we decided on a C name but cannot come up with one we like - MN Daniel..his family does alphabetical names so the first would have to be a C. Yet he keeps saying our boy will be named Ba'al (the god of chaos) Yea okay keep dreaming boy. And again doesn't contribute real names to the table, just has issues with the ones I come up with.
We like William Alan for a boys name I have gazed around for girl names but nothing set in stone as I feel this one is a boy. Our first daughter is Maggie Lee. We like strong Irish names.
Now that we know Squish's gender, I think we are about 80% settled on Mara Jade for her name. (Last name starts with a "Lee" sound). It might change yet, but we have both loved it for years. We will be announcing the sex but will keep the name private, and probably only tell our closest friends. I don't want the opinions of every person tangentially attached to our lives.
@KMRR86 my husband is the same way! What weirdos...he keeps saying he wants to name our first boy Ba'al, as in the god of chaos.....um no thank you! But when I throw real suggestions at him he ignores me. So at this rate I'll be picking names and telling our moms right before I go in so he can't do something stupid.

DH just mentioned Lillian and I am in love with that too. My father who passed away would always give my lilies, so it has special meaning for sure!
