I've started going back to our old lists but nothing is striking me as the one yet... It's so hard! It took until the very end to name both of our boys, like, we had to stare at them in the hospital and go... this or this?
QTAMum3 I like Clara James! Then you both get a part in naming baby. I'm into names too... but I'm finding the possibility of a third boy challenging to name!
Part of the reason I hope this baby is a girl is that we used the ultimate perfect boy name for us for DS: Hugo Christopher. Hugo, which is both a Disney, Broadway, and literary name, and Christopher, which is after my little brother *TW* who was stillborn when I was 2.5 years old *end TW*
Our perfect girl first name is a secret for now, but the middle name will be Belle, which is the same middle name we used for the DD we lost. I like that they'd be connected like that.
If it's a boy, it'll take most of the pregnancy to find a name we like as much as Hugo's.

BFP 2.28.17, EDD 11.8.17 - baby girl, miscarried at 11 weeks on 4.21.17 BFP 11.28.17, EDD 8.8.18, delivering in July - another rainbow baby boy!
I don't think we are every going to name our baby We just can't get on the same page. We are team green so we have to have a boy and girl name picked out and it needs to go with our son's name (Henry). For girls names I like: Ruby, Camille, Penelope, or Hazel. DH likes: Madison or Morgan. For boys names I like: Charlie. DH likes: Roscoe (my grandpa's name).
I like Roscoe and of course it is special to me but you have to have a big personality to carry that name and we haven't met the little guy yet so I have a tough time committing to it.
For our girl we will name her Selah which is used in the Bible in Psalms as a pause in music. It has taken on the meaning of "pause and meditate on what God has done". No idea for a middle name yet. I like brave or bravery but my husband is not as into it.
for our boy, it will be Josiah which was a godly king in the Bible. We will probably name him with a middle name that starts with M so he has the same initials as my husband.
We have three boys - Edward James, Howard Alan and Franklin Christopher. Eddie, Howie and Frankie right now while they're little.
I think if we have a boy, he will be George. But we've run out of meaningful family names for middle names. We might use my maiden name, Johnson, but I don't really like the flow.
Our girl name has been "Vivian Marie" every time, but we now have a little Vivienne on our block FULL of personality, good friends with her parents, and I don't think I can do it. Maybe "Millie" for Millicent or Mildred. I also like Daphne and Phoebe.

Oh my gosh I had the names Daphne and Phoebe picked out for our last if he had a been a girl. Clara Suzanne was the #1 choice for DH and the rest of the family. Had Rhett been a girl there might have been a fight though because I love those names so much. DH and I also love the name Moira, but no one can pronounce it here. They say, Mara. Which is pretty as well but not the same.
How does everybody feel about the name Mabel for a girl? We are Jewish and naming after my recently deceased grandfather so it needs to be an "M" name, we don't have much to work with but feel more than obligated to honor him this way. I have always liked the name as it is unique and what's special about it is it stands for Mothers Always Bring Extra Love
My DD is Hailey Belle and naming her was the hardest commitment ever! Lol. I am leaning towards Emery Annette (Annette is my mom's mn) if we have another girl. I also like Hayden (to stick with Hs) but DH isn't sold on that. I like Cayden James for a boy, I will probably play with the spelling some more if I go that route. I also like the names Hudson, Cameron, and Camden for boys. Basically, I have no idea.
@lahansen Thanks! It's my #1 pick if we have a girl. We have a 1 year old son, his name is Nash so it would be cool to have both the kids named after classic cars
If it's a boy my fiance wants to name him after his dad: Robert William. I love his dad but Robert is also my father's name and we're not super close. I don't want him to think we're naming the baby after him but I'm too nice so I would probably be like ya we're naming the baby after both of you. If it's a girl I really want to incorporate my grandma's name (Sharon) into the name somehow. She passed away when my DS was 4 months old and she never officially got to meet him and it was the first great grandbaby. But I would need to talk to my cousin's about it first. But I feel like I should get stake to the name being the oldest grandchild and half raised by my grandparents.
We will have a Joseph Jr. if its a boy again, and not sure about a girl! My first is Anthony (a family name of DH) and my second is Brady (after the greatest QB of all time ) so i kind of want a "C" name since we have an A and B.
@DuchessOfCambridge seriously in love with MommyShorts' Harlow. She's the cutest.

@jess0211 I recently started loooooving the name Georgia, but we already have a Caroline and a Charlotte so I'm worried it will make our family sound too Southern.
We have three boys - Edward James, Howard Alan and Franklin Christopher. Eddie, Howie and Frankie right now while they're little.

Three boys! so fun I have a George and he's Georgie most of the time. We also had a hard time with middle names that flowed well with George but ultimately went with a name DH loved but I didn't as a first name. With our first son we went with the name I liked best so I felt like he should get something he loved with #2.
I am out of ideas if our 3rd is a boy. We can't agree on anything! I love, love, love Samson, nn Sam, but DH is not on board. He's also said no to Abel and Gilbert, two others I have pushed for every single pregnancy!
With a long last name I need something short and snappy.
@TallMomma29 I think those three together sound charming! maybe a little southern Or go full-throttle southern and call her Georgia-Grace or something else hyphenated.
@sassygirl51486 Love Mabel! @elsideisamoocow Hugo is great! I've considered it with both other pregnancies, but wasn't brave enough to go for it. Does he have a nn?
We are set too. Been waiting and hoping for quite a while so name picking has helped us get through the process. We are having 2 boys (through surrogacy so that's why we know the sex already) Connor for baby A. My husband's choice. Russell for baby B. My choice, named after my husband's grandfather. Ethan and Thane for middle names. Middle names have the same 5 letters which are our initials. We are a blended family. Widowed in 2011 with 3 kids so these little miracles will know how loved they are by having a little piece of all 5 off us.
This time seems to be a lot harder than with DD. With her we had a list of about 4 names for each and then a few weeks before our anatomy scan we narrowed it down to one on each side. The problem is I don't like the other names anymore haha.
My husband really likes Irish names for boys and this are ones I found so far that I may consider but he has his own idea:
Beckett, Kellen, Brady and Gannon.
I also have been trying to come up with names with meanings since this will be our miracle rainbow baby. I found two yesterday that I like: Asher and Tate. Both mean something along along the lines of joy and happiness.
Oh names! Well if it's a boy it's set. It will be Andre Aseudu. Aseudu is a family name and my husband is Ghanaian. If it's a girl we have no idea! Our first 2 DDs both start with E and it wasn't intentional but feel like a 3rd girl would need to follow along. We are also big in the meaning of names so a lot of E names I like but the meaning is not there. Girl Ideas: 1. Eva 2. Eava 3. Effie 4. Ekiya 5. Esme 6. Eulalee 7. Everlyse --still on the search...
During my first pregnancy, DH and I decided on the name Sean Christopher for a boy (DH is Christopher and my first name starts with an S). We didn't use the name then because LO was a girl (Olivia Rose). If the new baby is a boy, he already has a name.
For a girl, I like: Elise Corinne Emily Jonae Evelyn Janelle
DH has no idea I'm thinking about names this early. We'll talk about it when we're closer to the anatomy scan.
Girl either Lily Rose or Scarlett Rose. Rose is a 5 generation middle name in my family after a truly incredible woman so it HAS to be the middle name. It's mine as well! I'm very torn between our top two girl names though. Lily I worry is too common right now and Scarlett I worry has a slightly slutty sound? Name picking when it's abstract is so easy but when it's a real person it's so hard!
Boy is for sure Emmett James. James after my dad and Emmett because it's the only boy name DH and I both love!
@kaitieb14 oh my god, I know, right? I keep saying, "They're just going to let me do this?? This is a huge responsibility! I HAVE NO TRAINING IN THIS WHATSOEVER!"
Me: 32 Husbando: 49 Married Since: 7/29/2012 omgosh
And like that, out of nowhere we have our girl name. We've decided on Edith. But, I am not sure of a middle name as of yet. I like Mae -which would me comprised of first letters of many family members' names. But, DH is not sold on that MN as of yet.
If we have a boy, his name will be John Benjamin, Jr. I love his name, & when I brought it up, he was soooooo excited. Benjamin is also my daddy, my brother, and my nephews name. My SO & my daddy go by Ben the other two use their other name. I suppose we'll just call him John, lol. I've thrown around lots of girl names. Mae Grace was one of my favorites, but I have a DSD whose middle name is Grace & my DD is Macey. I also love Eleanor Mae. My grandmother was named Eleanor, & I have a late aunt who had Mae for a middle name. I know people will call her Ellie Mae, if I choose that name. I don't think I mind, knowing she's names after two amazing women who shaped my life & not Beverly Hillbillies, lol. I also was told my youngest was a girl, so I had named him Harper Eden. Then he was a boy, lol. His name is Brody James instead. I still love the name Harper. I also love Scarlett, Josie, Bonnie, Ruby, & Charley. I love talking about names!
Re: Baby Names
I am Caroline Elizabeth, Caroline after my grandfather (Carroll) and Elizabeth as a family name. So I give this two thumbs up!
