  • Congrats @momof2furkids!! FX for a great Beta!

AFM, 10dp5dt, still BFN. Last night I started having some bleeding- a little more than spotting but not super heavy. I've been feeling like my body just wants to start a new cycle for days now, so I'm 1000% convinced I am out at this point. Ready to take my Beta tomorrow to confirm and move on to the next cycle :(

    1st cycle of IVF started April 9, 2017. ER- 15R, 7M, 5F, 4 frozen, 1 transferred. BFN

    May 2017- Hysteroscopy

June-August 2017- 2nd attempt via FET. 2 Embryos transferred on 08/10/17. BFP, but ended in a chemical.

    November 2017- Hysteroscopy

    January 2018- 3rd attempt via FET. 2 Embryos transferred on 01/25/18. BOLD BFP on a HPT on 1/31, Beta # 1 on 2/5= 721. Beta # 2 on 2/7- 1903. 6wk+3 day scan revealed twins!

    I'm blogging about it here

  • So excited for you both, @kiwisun4385 and @momof2furkids!

I can barely wait for Thursday. Of course this week is going to crawl.

I haven't shared the BFP with anyone IRL except one gf who also really struggled to have her first. On the day of my transfer, she brought me flowers and a weird little totem statue thing-y that she said brought her her take-home baby. She said her husband called it the vagina goddess.... I told her it must be good luck because it gave me my first BFP in over a year. I also told her I am calling her Birtha because I need her to carry me all the way to a healthy birth! :D

  • I will take a picture of it tonight when I get home. She's totally bizarre looking, but I hold her and pet her when I am sitting on the couch. It's oddly comforting. I will try (almost) anything to make this pregnancy be THE one and I am not religious, so whatever old wives' tale or crazy juju you got - throw it at me! I'm game.

I took a test this morning and got a BFN... my beta is tomorrow, but I've pretty much given up hope at this point.

    * I just found out that its Mexico's mother's day and my in laws are Hispanic so now I get to go celebrate mother's day twice starting today. I was not mentally prepared for this..

  • edited May 2017
@blackrose-3 I am sorry for the BFN and for the double dose of Mother's Day that you're facing. Will you still go in for a beta test?

If it's indeed a negative, I hope you can console yourself with wine. Lots of wine. xo

  • @blackrose3 So sorry!! Do you have to do something tonight? I know that sounds bad, but if its too much then I can't imagine going. My BFN was Friday and I still have no desire to be around kids or any of those situations just yet.

  • @fivetimesnolcuk I'll still go for the beta but I'm pretty sure I know the results already and sadly I don't drink :( Maybe I should lol

@kristimh80 Tonight is my mother in law's choice so we will see. I'm not sure I really want to go, but I feel like I should. I've never celebrated a mother's day with her before since we weren't living here before. But I don't feel like dealing with kids either. *TW* Sadly one of my cousins had her baby yesterday so Facebook, Instagram, etc. is flooded with her hospital pictures. I'm happy for her, but its just bad timing for me. *End TW*

  • @fivetimesnoluck - She's gorgeous, I want her!

@blackrose-3 - sorry for the BFN & the mother's day x2. It's hard to be happy for others when you desperately want what they have. *hugs*
  • @blackrose-3 sorry for your BFN my beta is next Friday I'm going to test that morning just so I can prepare myself.

The last two days my face feels like its on fire. I did femera this cycl but stopped day 8 I did have hot flashes with it. It just started up again yesterday wonder if its the trigger shot I took last week. Anyone else experience this I'm 6dpIUI
  • edited May 2017
@blackrose-3 - then perhaps chocolate!? Whatever your indulgence is, dig in. Allow yourself some time. I hope that whatever happens tonight isn't too painful. It is so difficult to muster the courage sometimes to face these pregnancy and/or mother/child related events.

@Labluver2 Sorry for the side effects! Are you on any progesterone? I feel like I have read about (and experienced) hot flashes related to it.... but honestly any/all of these hormone cocktails probably contribute....

@momof2furkids I love faces in trees! That one is pretty interesting! My junior high sense of humor would have made me laugh pretty hard at that one too.

And btw, for anyone who plans to google search for something similar to my little Birtha, be careful what you put in the search bar. I tried yesterday to poke around and find something similar to show y'all before I was back home and some really weird sh*t popped up! :D

@Dragonfly6191 - ditto what @Irisheyes81 said. I have been keeping up with your writing and appreciate your point of view. Also really ticked that your doc and the nurse pushed on you the way they did. I know they wanted to see the data first, but imagine it just made a difficult situation even more frustrating.

Baby Born born early @ 33.5 weeks due to Pre-e
    Back for # 2!
  • I know I am joining in a little late, but my beta is tomorrow so I figured better late than never right?  This is my third FET, the first and second in January and February 2017 were both single transfers and resulted in BFN.  It seems to get harder each time, so this time, I finally decided to start participating in these boards to be able to give and receive support.  This cycle we decided to transfer two embryos.  I did POAS on 6dp5dt, it was BFN, but by DH and I were on a mini-vacation, so I made the decision to try to remain hopeful for the remainder of the TWW and not test again until beta day.  I can't believe it's tomorrow already and keep fluctuating between negative and positive thoughts.  One minute I am trying to realistically prepare myself for the possibility that these two may not be the one (s), then the next I am praying and convinced that this may be it.  This TWW I definitely have different symptoms than my last two cycles, and am on the same medications, so I am hoping they are true PG symptoms.  I guess I am just really excited, scared and nervous to go for my beta tomorrow.

To those with official BFP's congrats!, and for those with BFN's I am so sorry, allow yourself to indulge and be kind to and easy on yourself.
