I'm hardcore lurking but can't think of anything interesting to contribute. Oh, except I just had an hour meeting get cancelled and the other people on the call were like, "Great! We get an hour back to get some work done!" And I'm over here like, maybe I'll just keep the time blocked off on my calendar and take a nap.
@riverrainez Close your door and take that nap! Do it! I've only done it a few times in my career, but sometimes you need to shut down. The great thing about napping at the office is that the at-home to-do list is out of sight and out of mind, so it is a bit more guilt free in that sense!

@VLillyV We just bought a house 6 months ago. I wanted to point out that most banks (at least where I am) only pre-qualify not pre-approved and most Realtors are fine with that. Oh and it is possible to make to much for a FHA loan. I never knew that until we started. But you can still get conventional loans with low down payments and the perk to that is that usually the mortgage insurance is cheaper that way. That's what we had to do. Basically an FHA is not the only way to get a lower down payment. Your banker should go over all that with you. Also, my husband had been at his job for less than a year and I had only been at mine for about 2 and we used both incomes so it is possible.
@ariz17 I'll let you know if I find any more good info! I remember seeing a good selection at BBB, but it was before we realized we would be wanting one so we didn't pay much attention. I even get hungry for chocolate after seeing my screen name sometimes.

I've never bought a home, so I'm not much help there.
For those of you talking about the bassinet, I'm having the same problem! DH and I want the baby in our room for the first few months to making feeding and checking on the baby easier, but all of the bassinets and side of the bed sleepers I've seen are crazy expensive.I just can't see spending $200+ for something we will only use a few months. I think we've decided to just build the crib in our room, and then move it to the nursery when we are ready for LO to sleep in his/her own room. Is moving the crib unrealistic?
@jessirh the other option we're contemplating is using a packnplay that has a bassinet attachment. A lot of the moms on here have mentioned doing that. Perks- cheaper, easy to move and you'll still use the bottom part after the baby outgrows the bassinet.
I think the size of this ice cream sandwich is bullshit. I'm pretty sure DH bought them from a center for ants.

@bluejeanbabi05 Ooh I forgot people had mentioned that. We are registering for a pack and play anyways, so I'll look up the bassinet attachment. Thanks!!
Anyone else ever log in to TB just to remind yourself what week/stage you're in with this pregnancy?
Anyone?
I feel like the first time I could almost tell you how many hours pregnant I am. It's like this time I can't even remember if I'm out of the first trimester yet.

@jessafishy congrats on finding out, are you surprised? Did you have a diff feeling?
Im so excited to see more sex announcements from all of you!
@jessirh I imagine it may depend on the crib, but I assume all assembly-required cribs can be unassembled to be moved. A little annoying but way cheaper than paying for a cosleeper!
@jessirh yes you can use a crib, but just note most won't fit through door ways assembled so you will have to take it apart to move. not a deal breaker but a PITA
as for PNP you don't really need the bassinet option if you want to go that route. they have 3 settings of level of the bed in it so you can just put it on the highest one.
@yasandson Thanks! I didn't really have a feeling either way. This pregnancy has been exactly the same as my last so I was leaning slightly towards boy because of that but otherwise nothing!

actually it could just be called the bassinet contraption @jesssssrg haha. i dont know PNP come with so many bells and whistles. i think it is called "full size bassinet drop in" you can see it here with this one.
I don't remember who all to tag here, but we used a RNP for 2 months (I know it has it's risks but that was the only darn thing she would sleep in.) Then we did the PNP with full sized bassinet.
I did a mini reveal today after finding out the sex and the only pink cupcakes I could find came in a package of a dozen. No shame, I'll gladly eat them.

Thanks so much for all of this info! I hadn't thought about if the crib could fit through the door way. It would be a PITA to disassemble and reassemble it in another room. That bassinet looks like a good option too, and isn't too expensive at all.

I doubt anyone on this board will shame you for cupcake eating I made a batch of 24 banana toffee cupcakes this morning for no reason other than craving cupcakes. I have no plans to bring them to work to share lol. Bananas are fruit, so this counts as healthy, maybe?
@ForwardnBackward yes it's Thursday. I've been trying not to talk about it here to not be too annoying. I'll def update afterwards. I figure I'll be pretty active that day since I have bedrest after. I'm going to need lots of entertaining!
Has anyone else seen this bump comparison pic floating around FB? So interesting re: how our bodies are all so different!
The woman on the left is 14 weeks pregnant with her 2nd, and the woman on the right is 16 weeks pregnant with her 7th. Both have HG and very similiar diets, and the woman on the left is a yoga instructor and is 3 inches taller than the woman on the right.
If a yoga instructor does, I think we're all safe! "Even if I did yoga I'd still look like this." *eats more mug brownies* <--- that is my thought process.
natleilynn When I was a FTM I knew the weeks+days+hours+minutes I was pregnant. Ask me now and I'm like let me check my phone....
@tallmomma29 that's amazing. it reminds me of the one circulating few months ago of a fitness model (?) and her bestie and how different they both looked at just 4 weeks apart.

@carries2018 same, 18 weeks tomorrow, and people are asking me where else the baby is going to go when it gets bigger. I'm not complaining (yet) but omg holy bump overnight
We have found the rest of the pieces to DD2s crib!!! We had converted it to a full size bed , and I was unsure if we still had the sides and front. We only used the back of the crib as a headboard with DD2s full. DH found all the pieces including the mattress grate! We don't have to buy a crib, woot! Although I'm selfishly like "oh man" lol. Although now I can use those funds for cute decore! DH got so excited he's currently setting up the crib as we speak!
So while in general being at a hotel by yourself sucks, the good part is hanging out at the hotel restaurant, ordering whatever looks delicious and putting it on the company credit card #bringondessert
@VLillyV sorry super late to the party but we just bought our first home last year and found that what worked for us was financing the house under one person and the other person finance big purchases like washer dryer refrigerator etc. We were starting from scratch and didn't have appliances to start with and also did the Home Depot small project financing to redo countertops and moulding.
We were also trying to save for a wedding at the time - note to self never move cities, start a new job, buy a house and get married in 11mo again - so we were worried about cash on hand to close and for unexpected incurred costs.
Best of luck finding your first home! I'm excited for you!!

I was at a hotel when 18 months pregnant and went crazy with room service. My boss didn't care that I ate two entrees, main and a dessert all in one evening, plus took stuff out of the mini bar. I would love to repeat that experience and get a good night sleep away from DS.

what i went with due to space is this, it is smaller than both a PNP and Crib. it is nothing fancy but for us since we only use it for 2 months totally acceptable. https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=32647946&cp=2255957.2273443.2256245.2256271&fg=Category&fg=Brand&fv=2254197&fv=Brand+Name+Secondary/Delta&ff=Taxonomy&ff=PAD&fd=Delta&parentPage=search
