When did you tell?!

Just wondering how early in your preg. (and who) you told that you were expecting.

I told family almost immediately (because hubby and I have that "Everybody loves Raymond" kinda family) and a few close friends. I am waiting for everyone else around 10 or so weeks.

This was us as well. We told all of our family and I told 2 of my closest friends. I will probably wait to tell everyone else after my 12 week appointment.

I am a terrible secret keeper... I wanted to wait until Thanksgiving, but was too excited... we've told family. and a few close friends, but thats it...

We told our whole family at 5wks, and our closest friends. We're waiting until probably after our 12wk appointment to tell our jobs and everybody else.

I told my parents and a very close friend at 5 weeks (when DH and I found out). I JUST told my MIL because she is visiting and will wait until about 14 weeks to tell everyone else. I had a missed miscarriage, so I am super cautious.

We were gonna hold off till Thanksgiving with everyone, but we're going to tell next weekend. Just our parents and siblings though and it will be the 10 week mark. As far as work goes, I am a teacher so my immediate grade level team knows because of all the appointments and trips to the bathroom. I plan on telling them after we tell our extended family on Thanksgiving.

We weren't TTC (I was on the pill) so we were shocked when we found out- we're not in the greatest situation money wise. My husband wanted to be able to go to his mom if he was stressed about things. I figured I'd rather tell her "Yay! We're pregnant!" then have him go to her stressed and unhappy "Mom, we're in big trouble money wise and to top it all off we're pregnant " so we told her right away- which means we had to tell my parents right away (my mom is extremely jealous about info like that). Brother, sister, close aunts, uncles and cousins found out after our dating ultrasound the next day (6 weeks 5 days 145 heartrate) through his mom, and my mom. Now both grandma's have told their close friends and I told my 3 best friends (friends for more than 10 years).

By this point (9 weeks) I've told pretty much everyone who needs to know (but not my boss :P)

Thanks so much! We try to be as cute as possible. lol! j/k. I'm sorry that you lost a friend because of that...but I guess it says a lot about how great of one she really was! To many more true friendships to come! *toasts with...apple juice*.

We told right away. I felt that if we had a miscarriage, we would tell everyone anyways.

I waited to tell work until I went to OB.

We plan to tell my parents and sister tonight, I talk to my mom and sister everyday and its been torture not telling them yet and I've only known since yesterday lol! I think we will wait until after my first dr appt (nov 15) to tell everyone else. For those who have already told their family - how did you do it? Did you do it in a cute way? Knowing me I will probably just blurt it out lol!

With the last baby we told at about 10 weeks. This pregnancy we'll probably wait until after 12 weeks (if we can hold out)
