Re: Weekly Symptoms 5/1

  • @Sugargirl1019 I'm a Florida Momma here and yes yes yes! I come home and shower everyday right when I get home. I put DD in with me to kill two birds with one stone. Although... I also like the shower to get any diaper changing messes or drool left over from my kids at school! I sure love them but there are days I feel like I leave filthy!

Anybody have a recommendation for upset stomach? I feel like it happens almost anytime I eat anything lately.
Does the severity of how much it bothers you depend on how much you eat? I had a couple weeks where every time I ate lunch and them tried to do something (you know, like they expect you to at WORK) I would feel completely horrible. It wasn't happening at dinner because I don't do anything after dinner (just hang out). What I ended up doing is changing the amount I eat and the number of times. So now I eat something small at 11:30-12 for "lunch," then have half a PB+N+J sandwich and a bit of fruit (a few strawberries) at 2, and have the other half and a couple more strawberries at 4. It's working for me for almost a week now.
Yes! I can definitely tell a difference when I eat a bigger meal. And usually that's dinner, and after dinner I'm running around chasing a little person. It's like it kind of just started though, never used to happen before. I guess I'll do what you are doing and try to see if I can eat something lighter for dinner. And ugh when it happens at work, it's the WORST. I feel like if I love it's much worse. Did you try any meds like Tums?
Mine turned up suddenly around hmmm... week 19? I didn't tried anything medication-wise for it, but something minty (mint tea, or just a mint) made me feel a tiny bit better.
  • Any experience with pain around the navel area? I would think it was round ligament pain if it wasn't so high... but when I stand up, sit down, bend over, or even move a certain way there's a sharp pain around my belly button. Starting to worry me a little....

I have been having this, my doc said it's normal, she said it has to do with the muscles in there stretching/pulling :(
  • @Sugargirl1019 Yes! I do use a natural deodorant that has always worked but I find myself applying it twice a day if I am going anywhere after work
  • So this is super embarrassing, but I feel like I am growing excess fat or breast tissue underneath my armpit.

For years I get a painful lump under my armpit near AF time and when I first got pregnant it was very painful as well. It no longer hurts at all anymore but it is growing larger.

My OB spent a good five minutes palpating it on my initial appointment and said she thought it was just a lymph node and no big deal.

But now it seems more just like excess fatty tissue and it looks really weird when I wear tank tops. I've got an appointment in a couple of weeks so hopefully they can give me some input.
I had this after I delivered DS. It was strange because I had nothing the entire pregnancy and than as soon as my milk came in after delivery my breasts and armpits swelled so bad I couldn't even put my arms down for 2 straight days. I joked after the fact that I looked like a Barbie doll, because of that weird ball-joint in their arm pit. Anyway, afterwards when the swelling went down I was left with what I not-so lovingly refer to as chicken cutlets which is basically exactly what you are describing. I was told by 2 docs that was in fact excess breast tissue. I don't know if in my case it was pushed there because of how insanely engorged I was or what but, unfortunately for me it never went away no matter how much weight I lost. I have also noticed this time around it seems to have gotten a even more noticeable. I guess as my breasts grow it seems to want to fluff up right along with them. I suppose I could have worse problems but, it's just one of those things that even though maybe no one else's notices, my eyes go right to it every time so, I totally sympathize with the tank top issue.

Has anyone noticed.. that they need more deodorant recently? I feel like I need to apply it several times a day because I get so sticky.

YES OMG!!!! Just the other day I thought my husband was smelly since he just came home from the gym but it was me :( I have never had to really use deodorant much but I defiantly need it now.
  • @JustBored10 Not to be weird, but what natural deodorant do you use? I've been trying to switch as I am actually allergic to regular deodorant and after years of just sucking it up thought I would give natural a try, but can't find any that work.  I'm using one now, and it's better than the others, but I don't think its going to cut it in the summer heat.
  • Guys, the pain I've been having where my legs attach to my pelvis is getting like, horrible. I remember when I mentioned it a while back I wasn't alone in having it, have any of you guys found any way to relieve it or help it out? Laying down, sleeping, standing up, etc are all beyond miserable.  :(
  • After a bit of googling, I'm pretty positive this is what I'm dealing with. Ouch.

  • Ahhh! It's 5:30 a.m. and I awoke to this terrible horrible back pain in my lower left back. It hurts so bad it's like it's taking my breath away, nothing I do helps it, no position, not getting up, ow! It doesn't feel like pregnancy sciatica, I had that with DS, it almost reminds me of labor before my epidural.

@angeladowns1 I have a few yoga stretches that I do to relieve the pain in my hip. It works pretty well. You might check that out?
  • @OmSweetOm Thanks so much for your response but I'm sorry you have to deal with that too!
  • @Megane15 sorry for the late response!  I was on vacation last week!  I use a local company but you can shop them online.  https://www.chagrinvalleysoapandsalve.com/  I will say ahead of time that it is amazing at keeping odor away but you will still sweat.  There are no ingredients to block sweat because our bodies are made to sweat for a reason :)
