Hi ladies, I got my BFP last Thursday 4/27, based on LMP my EDD is Jan 3. I have a DS who is almost 7, and a DD who is ~20 months. I have experienced MC, loss of a twin (DD's twin), and a ruptured ectopic which resulted in partial left tube removal...we actually were not 100% sure that I could get pregnant again after the last one. I go in for an US on Thursday 5/11 to confirm EDD, as well as verifying that this isn't a repeat ectopic. **fingers crossed**
I'm looking forward to getting to know you all, and hoping I get to stick around!!

Its so great to meet you all and congratulations!!
I'm a FTM and have never been pregnant or had a scare or anything before. My DH and I decided to start trying in April and whammo! It works, ha!
It's all quite surreal at the moment and I'm hoping I can keep my sh** together until my first OB appointment on the 22nd.
I got my BFP on Sunday and then confirmed yesterday by a Dr. at a walk-in clinic. My EDD is Jan 13 and I'm already dying for that date to arrive, ha!
I'm 31, but am attending college online. The plan is for me to be pregnant and continue school while DH brings in the dough. We'll see how things work out and how big of a load I can maintain throughout the pregnancy though.
Hello, everyone! My name is Katie and I'm a hopeful first time mom! I had a chemical back in August, so I'm really nervous this time. My doc is taking blood work every other day, and today is my second one to see if my hcg is doubling. Day before yesterday (12dpo), it was 39, and my progesterone 27, which she says is really good. I'm afraid to get too excited after what happened last time, but I'm hopeful for a healthy pregnancy and baby, with an estimated due date of Jan. 12th! Prayers and luck to all of us!
I accidentally made this into a separate discussion and I'm nite sure how to delete it. Lol.
But, anyway, I am a first time mom. I got my first positive pregnancy test on April 27th. And again on the 30th. According to the first day of my last period, my due date would be January 3rd, 2018. My first OB appointment is may 30th at 8 weeks. I am beyond excited. My symptoms are already pretty intense. My nipples are sore a lot and I have good cravings as well as being very fatigued.
I'm excited to see what this journey will bring me.
Hello everyone! My husband and I have been trying for two years now with one IUI back in October and we were debating going straight for IVF next month. Shockingly I had a BFP April 27th! I've been peeing on all the sticks since because it's just SO AMAZING to see those two lines. I don't think my IF mind has fully grasped I'm pregnant yet. Have an appointment tomorrow morning to confirm the 10+ tests I've already taken (no shame). EDD: Jan 9th
(my username is a reference to Dr. Who, the TV show)
@madcouplewithabox I also keep peeing on sticks, haha! I find it amazing too, but for different reasons. For 31 years I've been SO concerned about preventing pregnancy and now to be pregnant is crazy!!! Congrats to you for getting your BFP!!!
I'm Paige and I'm 31 -- I got my BFP on 4/30 (LMP on 4/6) with an EDD of 1/6! This is baby #3 (DD is 5.5 and DS is 3.5), I'm excited to see a few other mom's of 2+ on here! My first was born at 34 weeks due to PTL, and second was full-term with the help of progesterone injections and a couple of weeks of bedrest.
I used to be on the Jan '11 and Jan '14 boards with my previous pregnancies, but haven't been around much since. Loving the weekly threads, it's so organized around here now! I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you ladies!
Hello all! My name is Chelsea. I got my BFP on Day 21 (4/18/17) of my cycle with a hCG serum level of 4084. DH and I are thrilled since this is our first. Based on my LMP, my expected due date is 1/3/18.
I had my first OB appt at 4 weeks and go back for an ultrasound on May 10. I should be 6 weeks by then so hopefully we will get to hear a heartbeat. I've been having major morning sickness (nausea no vomiting - "icky" feeling), but moderate exercise has been helping. I will endure the nausea for the baby though!
Hi everyone! I'm 36, and this will be baby #3. I have an almost 15 year old son, and a 23 month old son. Got my BFP yesterday, and another this morning. I'm only 11dpo, AF is due Friday. Hoping I'll get to stay with you all! EDDis January 13th. I live in the Southeastern US, and I'm married to a German citizen. Congrats to everyone here!
So excited to be here! LO is due January 6th, but #1 was born at 37.5 weeks, so hoping #2 can stay in there as long as possible!! Hoping for a healthy pregnancy and baby for all the ladies in here!
And ugh...I already changed my username twice at The Knot but it's still not showing up on the boards.
Anyone know how to deal with that?
I just did that a couple days ago. If the username you desire is already taken, there is a SUPER SMALL pop up that lets you know that. It is really easy to miss it. When you have an available username, there is a small banner at the bottom that tells you it is successful. (Green I think.) There are a few hours lag between the knot and the bump too. Good luck!

My name is Erin. I got my BFP on April 30th on a whim, as I hadn't missed my period and I am a test addict. I stared so hard at the test when I started seeing a line because I seriously thought my eyes were playing games with me. As it got a little darker, I ran out to my DH in the other room with still-wet stick in my hand and we both didn't believe it. I took 4 more, then a couple of blood tests, so here I am! According to my ovulation date on 4/11, my EDD will be 1/2/2018.
I am a nervous but excited FTM. I have very irregular cycles, so we got our BFP much sooner than expected, so I'm almost too in-tune with every little cramp or possible symptom out of worry that something might be off. I'm usually just a lurker in forums, so I may not comment a ton, but I will gladly soak up any advice experienced moms have to offer. I have a fear of breaking the rules or offending anyone, so please let me know if I do anything wrong!! I'm very excited to get to know you all and learn everything I ca in the 8 months I have to prepare!
Hi, I got my BFP on Saturday, but it took until today for me to really believe it, (14 dpo). The tests on 10-13 dpo were all so faint, that I couldn't quite convince myself that it wasn't just my imagination.
This will be baby #2 for me, and it took 16 months of trying. I was on chlomid, had an HSG, and was on just about every vitamin you can imagine. I had short luteal phases of only about 9 days.
This was my first cycle with acupuncture, and I'm not sure if it's just a coincidence or if that was the magical trick. The acupuncturist thinks that my birth scar from my very traumatic first birth was absorbing too much energy and making it hard for me to get pregnant, so she worked to "deactivate" the scar. It all sounded a little hocus-pocus-y to me at the time, but here I am four weeks pregnant!!
I'm really very thrilled and wish you all congrats too.
Hi, ladies! I got my BFP last Thursday, and have an estimated due date of 12/30 based on LMP. I jumped on the D17 board, but felt so far behind...so I figured I would get on the Jan18 board when it opened up. Hope you all don't mind! I have my initial appointment next Thursday to confirm my actual due date, so I will know then where I belong! I have a 15 month DD, who is such a JOY to be around. I was pretty active in the Jan16 board, and didn't expect to be in the same place so soon! This is an unexpected pregnancy (ovulated WAAAAAY early), but definitely not unwelcome. Still dealing with some shock over the fact, but am definitely excited too. I am a high school teacher, and DH is in law enforcement. We love to travel, and you can add me to the bookworm list. It would be fun to start a "Recommended Books" thread!
I got my BFP at work on the 27th. I tested on my lunch break because I couldn't wait and I just had a feeling. I have since gone from super excited to terrified. This is our first pregnancy and I have no idea what I'm in for. I work full time in an office setting and don't plan on letting employer know for a few more weeks. Getting time off for doc appts will be a big give away.
This is was my husband and I first month of trying and so I was really not expecting it to work. I am due Jan 3rd although I haven't gone to doc yet (waiting for week 8). I don't really have symptoms yet other than heartburn. What was weird is leading up to BFP I had two very vidid dreams that I was prego and then I woke up feeling sick with the flu right before.

I got a real squinter on 4/26 and have been peeing on sticks since. Two blood tests later, here I am :-)
My EDD according to FF is 1/9. I have a dating ultrasound in a couple of weeks to confirm. I'm 99% sure that the EDD is correct, but I'm looking forward to seeing this little bean early!
I have an N14 DD and am still very close with some mamas from that crew. I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you.
I'm thrilled to be joining you J18ers. Congrats to everyone, and thanks to those starting the threads. I'm here after getting my BFP a whole two hours ago. I haven't even had the chance to tell DH yet (he travels for work, so I'll be sharing on Friday). We had a MMC in Feb, so I'm feeling very lucky to be here already. My EDD is 1/8. Mixed emotions - so nervous and excited at the same time. As I told my OBGYN, I felt ready to try but not necessarily for a BFP. It's hard to make sense of TTCAL, I guess, as many of us know. During my last pregnancy, I didn't join any groups or tell anyone beyond DH because I was waiting for that heartbeat. This time, I'm all in from the start and looking forward to getting to know you all! Heck, add me to the exclamation point lover crew and bring on the morning sickness while we're at it (just a little dizzy so far).
I'm 35 and DH is 31. We live in Chicago. I'm going to call for an appointment when I still have a BFP on Monday. Trying to be as laidback as possible right now.
@deutschbaby I'm also married to a German. I think it's hilarious because I swear he becomes more German every day in the US. Will/do your children speak Deutsch and English?
An extra burst of happiness for those of you who've been dealing with IF and got your BFPs!
My names Ashlie and im a STM my 1st is 19 months. I got my bfp on on April 23rd. Dr google says my due date is Jan 2! I feel as if I've taken a million test just to make sure it's positive. Our first ultra sound is on may 19 I feel as if that will make it all that much more real!
Really excited to to share on this board with all of you!!!
I'm a STM who took my test on April 26th. EDD based on LMP should be January 3rd. While we've been hoping and planning for a bit, unfortunately I feel like my anxiety and cynicism has been getting the best of me in regards to getting excited. I keep waiting for something bad to happen . Hope that goes away with time because I'm a bit of a downer ATM. I have an almost 2 yo son who is the second love of my life along with my DH.
Can't wait for that first appt in 3 weeks to hopefully ease some of my anxiety!!
My name is Christina, and just got my BFP on my birthday yesterday. We were NTNP but it's still a bit of a shock! I have a 10 month old DD and I was fairly active in the July 16 BMB. Hi @baileym9126! There a few of us here with the same EDD! Welcome!
Hi y'all! This is baby #5 for us and our EDD is 1/19. DH and I have DD1 (6), DS1 (4), DD2 (3), and DS2 (12mos). We will be team green, keeping our tradition going.
Hi ladies! I am a 30 year old first time mom to be and my approximate due date is January 4 2018! I got my BFP on April 23 @ 12 dpo and could not be happier. I have a dating and viability scan booked for May 19 when I will be 7+1. We tried to get pregnant for 20 months with no results and I even went on one round of clomid 100mg in Feb 2017 which I absolutely hated, so I was in complete shock when we got our natural BFP. Glad to meet everyone :)
*loss mentioned Hi Ladies! I'm cautiously excited to be here. Had my BFP on Sunday morning which makes my EDD 1/6/18. I had a chemical and a MMC last year. I see from above I'm not the only person hoping the 3rd times a charm. First doctors appointment scheduled for 5/22. I will probably chew off all my fingernails before that gets here. Howdy all! My name is Julia and I am 29! My husband Joe and I will be first time parents! We got married a little under 2 years ago (June 15,2015). Right now my EDD is December 24th. But I am joining this month as well, since I am due (right now) so late in December. I have my first doctors appointment on May 15th. Based off the sprout app (my sister showed me) I am about 6 weeks! (which we haven't told anyone besides family and a few friends!
We have this thing with 3's (we are 6 years 3 days apart, when we married he was 33 I was 27, and out wedding date 6/15/15) plus a few other things with 3's. Now we are hoping to only have 2 kids but we have a dog so 3 lol. But with the things with 3's before we found out I am a substitute teacher, and one of the classrooms I was working in, the teacher was like I had a thought about you the other day, she told me she thought I was pregnant and asked if I was (knowing that we were trying). I told her I wasn't sure. (she has had one of these thoughts before and it turned out it was true, so it made me wonder). Then I went into another teachers room and she said, after telling her this story, that she was going to ask me if I was b/c there was something about my "face" that made her think I was. Then later that week I go to the dentist. They had me fill out a medical sheet and one of the questions was is there a chance you are pregnant, of course I circled yes. My hygienist, as she was walking up to get the paper, looks at me and goes, I don't think we are doing any x-rays today. Then she looked at the paper and was like yup. Sure enough she thought I was pregnant too! (things in 3 again). Well that weekend was Easter, I was supposed to start on Monday and I was like how cool would it be to be at families back where we are from (Ohio) and be able to tell our families on Easter. I took two tests and sure enough I was positive! If our baby does come on Christmas Eve, it will be definitely a holiday baby! lol
Hi everyone! I got my BFP today, EDD is 1/10/18. I'm a STM- DS will be 1 next month. We were TTC but happened sooner than expected (took almost a year the first time around). Congrats everyone!
@libbberty I'm from the Chicago area too, used to be in the city and moved to the SW burbs a few years ago. We had a MMC and an ectopic a few years ago, so I completely know what you mean about being nervous and excited!
I got my BFP today after bleeding and spotting for a week, so I'm a bit anxious yet. I have betas on Saturday and Monday to confirm. *loss mentioned* I've gone through a MC once, so I'm praying for a sticky little one. * I will be a first time mom, so I'm also super nervous. My estimated due date is January 3rd.

First doctors appointment scheduled for 5/22. I will probably chew off all my fingernails before that gets here.
Can't wait to get to know all of you!

If our baby does come on Christmas Eve, it will be definitely a holiday baby! lol
