New BF is my DH....I realize being away/deployed is hard, but don't take that out on me...I can GUARENTEE being with two littles, not at our own home, and working while 5+ months pregnant is no cake walk buddy.
DH sends me a text asking if I've been on a spending spree...said I spent $2300 since I've been away. My stomach drops and I think no way I've spent that much!! I know I did some shopping with my mom for the KIDS' stuff (& some new bras for me), & bought a 'thank you for having us & taking care of our littles' meal for my parents, but there's no way I've spent that much. So I ask him for the screenshots...he sends them...I add up what I consider 'shopping' (i.e. Not our regular bills and not the travel stuff (think plane tickets)) and it's no wherenear that!! Also, even with the bills and plane tickets it may have come to $1500 total, but really dude...enough with the dramatics
@ColoradoHiker Thanks for the tip! I actually do literally jump into bed sometimes, because I am 10. (not in my current condition, obviously. )
@MyNamesTaken My PGAL brain always goes nuts with people like that too. My sil announced her second pregnancy the day after she found out, and it ended up being a chemical pregnancy. It was so hard to watch because a lot of the people who saw the announcement didn't see the update, and she got asked about that pregnancy for months after, and it clearly broker her heart every time. It's hard to watch someone's innocence about pregnancy be taken away like that.
@mrs_tacos Totally agree with the shaving! It's already an annoying task with little payoff and pregnancy is adding a whole new awful element.
My BF is a co-worker who backed into my car last week. He's pretty old, and drives a huge pickup truck. I drive a Prius, so he scraped the crap out of my car and there was no damage to his. I just got an estimate, and it's $1360 to fix my car. I hate confrontation and I'm not ready to deal with him, but he said he would pay and now he's gonna have to fix it.
This happened to me last June. A coworker with a GIANT truck scraped along my little Honda FIT. But he left me a note on my windshield. It scraped along both passenger side doors, so the quote was about $1000. I almost had a stroke, I was like, "he's going to freak out, what do I do?!?!" But when I told him, he said, "Oh okay, my daughter had something similar happen to her car a few months ago, the cost is about the same. I will call the garage and give them my credit card number." Phew.
@mrs_tacos That's so sad And you never think it will be you until it is. I get wanting to share your excitement with everyone though! I wish it weren't so common
I'm still super pissed at myself for getting so sunburned yesterday. And I'm even more pissed that I decided to wipe off excess sunscreen from my hands onto the tops of my legs...I have all these weird streaky white marks all over and I can't wear shorts now!!
My work involves an employment program that has monthly requirements both for ongoing clients and in order to get enrolled based on application dates and stuff. The end of the month is killing me. I've had five clients who didn't do ANYTHING this month get ahold of me this week to try to get in so I don't shut them down so my schedule is just filled back to back. I literally only have 2 hours, in four half hour spots, open this week- which is when I have to do all the case notes, maintenance on cases etc. Get your sh*t together people. Failing to do something on your part does not make it my fault. At. All.
@Mozzafiato2016 hopefully once she gets further along she'll chill. I get that initial excitement when you first find out, but being an AW is not cool. Maybe direct her to a BMB where she can get some of that out of her system and share it with others. I know being in this group has helped me not talk DHs ear off about all things baby.
I had some really ridiculous pains today. Back, stomach, hips. It was really awful. I complained a bit about it when I get home and SO just looks at me and says, "yeah... I feel ya. I feel that way all the time."
Oh, do you really, SO?
Then I go lay in bed and SO looks over at me and says, "Do you want to rub me?"
Oh snap, I'm glad you could take the high road. @Msashley2010 my husband did that once when I was pregnant with our first... when he had to cut work shoes off my feet (in IL in January) he officially stopped complaining while I was pregnant.
This could really fall under the irrational irritation category but I got like 3-4" cut off and my hair is significantly blonder after getting my highlights touched up and not one person at work has noticed.
A girl I work with cut hers to right below her chin (it had been at her shoulders) and got her highlights redone. I noticed immediately. Her husband didn't notice at all.
@HollyGolightly09 Noooo! I don't even know what I'd do. I went from shoulder-length to pixie cut a few years ago and DH had no idea I was even at the hair salon. He came home from work and I was just sitting on the couch. His reaction was "Babe! Did you do that yourself?" Yes, DH, I taught myself to cut hair in the 10 hours since I last saw you.

yal. I bought a cheap memory foam mattress topper for the bed last night. Omg I only woke up once or twice only because my hand was asleep and I needed to roll over. Otherwise, it was magical. Problem solver...for now?

Memory foam is awesome! On my college bed, I had two eggcrates (the cheap foam with the bubbles) and a memory foam brand name. Best $60 I ever spent.
WalMart brand? 1.5 inch topper with the eggshell and swirly things on it. (I'm really great at describing things). For a the Queen size it was like $35.
@labby18 yay!! Much cheaper alternative! On that topic, I need a good pillow. Anybody have a recommendation? I'm obviously not a stomach sleeper right now, and I have a temperpedic pillow but it's way too hard for my head. I've tried a few from Walmart. And all my old ones I'm mad at. I feel like I have a neck ache everyday.
@iheartichi I have and absolutely love THIS ONE. I had neck pain everyday until I got it and I've recommend it to 3 people who all love it as well. It's more than I've ever spent on a pillow but 1) worth every single penny and 2) really isn't that bad when you think about the fact that you use it everyday.

@MrsJessS thank you! We're members of Costco and is past time for a run up there. I've never heard of shredded memory foam, but sounds amazing!
@Swazzle thanks for the link! That pillow looks perfect, seems like this shredded memory foam might be the way to go. This neck pain is driving me up the wall. I would spend 3 times that much for a good one. You spend a lot of time in the bed, should definitely make it comfy!
I LOVE my latex foam pillow (purchased on overstock.com). They usually run about $45, but they literally last for 5+ years. It never goes flat, is super supportive, but not hard. My whole family uses them and has for probably the last 15 years
ETA: on sale for about $30 right now. This is the firm one, but they come in medium and soft too.
For some reason The Bump is not working on my laptop, I can only access it through mobile right now. It's a small thing, but I'm hangry so it feels bigger.
Also, just a general bitch about life: why can't legs stay smooth for more than two minutes after they're shaved? Bending over to shave in already uncomfortable, why can't my leg hairs just be cool and help a lady out for once?
ahhhhhhh I hate this!!!! Shaving is such a pain and starting to feel like a waste of time. If I get out of shower and get a cold chill its like I didn't just shave
