I'll start! Began my new/old job today and I can't get IT to call me back...which means I can't login to chart on patients. I'm still seeing them and getting them in & out, but won't be able to do any charting until this is resolved. It's been close to an hour trying to get the temporary passwords to work and getting locked out. I have a love/hate relationship with technology these days....
Last night I balled my eyes out because I shrunk my cute little pink dress that I wore in the last HDBD. DH was super nice about it, hugged me lots and promised to buy me a new dress. And then I watched Toy Story to cheer me up. Then this morning, my eyes felt glued shut, so we went to Dunkin for some much needed coffee. We were almost late to work because of it, but I can't complain too much because coffee.
I spent an hour and a half walking my toddler around the house because he woke up at midnight bawling and wouldn't go back to sleep. He's already on one this morning. Finished his milk, started screaming and threw his sippy. Someone please, send help.
I'm honestly so annoyed with people on the highway. Speed doesn't bother me (I'm definitely guilty of speeding), but for goodness sake. If you're going to drive fast, use your freaking blinkers and brakes, and don't make a desperate left hand turn across two lanes of highway when oncoming cars are so close you almost get hit.
I'm at work already and got two notes from parents telling me all the things I'm doing wrong... gee thanks for the boost of confidence to get through the day... as if being a special education teacher isn't hard enough time to go home yet?
PS: I'm jealous of your coffee @mrsmarygs I settled for a Dr Pepper this morning... not doing it!
This could really fall under the irrational irritation category but I got like 3-4" cut off and my hair is significantly blonder after getting my highlights touched up and not one person at work has noticed.

Not irrational, I hate when that happens I'm sorry! I would notice!

@klcarr19 My best friend used to be a special Ed teacher, and now coordinates the teachers in our county. Based on the crap she deals with regularly, I'd say it's normal for special ed teachers to get totally shit on. It makes me so mad, bc it's a hard specialty to be in, and the problems these kids have are not small ones. You (and pretty much all teachers) deserve a medal for what you do.
I CAN'T STAND OUR BED. I slept on the couch. DH loves the bed. I'm so close to just going to the mattress store and just getting a new one with him or without him.
Not sure I'm allowed to have a bitchfest my DS slept until 11:07 this morning and it's my day off so I slept until 10:30!!!! I haven't slept so late since he was born!! I'm elated! I only have a minor irritation and that is that my DH called his brothers prom date (they are 16) hot.... I was like ew babe. She's ten years younger than you and your brothers girlfriend. In that instance you say "she's cute" but not "she's hot"
Yesterday DH and I went to in-n-out for dinner (yes I'm obsessed) and the drive through line went out onto the street. There is a parking lot there, so DH thought a guy was trying to leave the parking lot to exit and left a gap for him, and then the douche cut in line. I was so pissed. I wanted to say something, but there were two guys in the car and hubby told me to let it go. If I was alone I would have said something. You don't mess with a pregnant woman trying to eat lol.
For some reason The Bump is not working on my laptop, I can only access it through mobile right now. It's a small thing, but I'm hangry so it feels bigger.
Also, just a general bitch about life: why can't legs stay smooth for more than two minutes after they're shaved? Bending over to shave in already uncomfortable, why can't my leg hairs just be cool and help a lady out for once?
@ColoradoHiker thanks that made my day better already! That and 28 days left til summer! Haha
So I got to go home early... to a phone call saying my toddler has a fever! She's currently high spirits and eating McDonald's. I snuck Motrin into her juice... she's decided she doesn't want juice. come on! Drink the darn juice so you can nap friend! What a wickedly awful Monday over here!

I was never a teacher but I was a caregiver for special needs adults and children for a few years and it was an extremely hard job. Parents being overly critical is just the icing on the cake. Educating someone with a developmental disability takes a lot of time and patience. I think you all are saints.

I would be irritated by that too! I feel like minors should be excluded from the "hot" category unless the person describing them is also a minor.
SO learned not to make such proclamations about girls or women until he knows their age first. He had a coworker show him a picture of a pretty girl and SO responded "wow, she's really hot." Then said coworker got extremely offended and said very loudly in front of all of his coworkers "that's my daughter!!" SO happens to work for the school board so it was a huge no no.
@mrs_tacos Totally agree with the shaving! It's already an annoying task with little payoff and pregnancy is adding a whole new awful element.
My BF is a co-worker who backed into my car last week. He's pretty old, and drives a huge pickup truck. I drive a Prius, so he scraped the crap out of my car and there was no damage to his. I just got an estimate, and it's $1360 to fix my car. I hate confrontation and I'm not ready to deal with him, but he said he would pay and now he's gonna have to fix it.
My BF is every other person/thing on the road this morning. I usually give myself 45 min to get to daycare and back to work in the mornings. It's raining. I was 45 min late to work this morning. I encountered a wreck so turned around to go another way. Another wreck. Couldn't get out the car at daycare because the sky just opened up. Then on the way to work, an 18-wheeler got stuck in the middle of a major intersection, and then I got caught by a drawbridge. My shoes are soaked and I know I look fabulous.
My bitch is the unemployment people (and my old employer for making up crazy stuff) for calling to ask some questions about my claim and making me feel like a failure at life and the bad guy. Ughhhh...I don't even care all that much about the money. It would be nice but I can manage. I just don't want the crappy people of the world to win.
My BF is my Dr. (who is actually super awesome and I almost feel bad about this). We have the opportunity to go to Disney in July and this will be our last trip (and only trip this year) before baby. So we asked Dr about trip and Dr. said he does not advise we go to Florida. He acknowledged that plenty of pregnant women live in Florida and there is a very low risk of Zika, and the CDC says Orlando is perfectly fine, but risk is still there and he cannot advise me that trip is risk free and therefore must advise against the trip. My DH interpreted that as a solid "No", and I was thinking more along the lines of "wear bug spray". So IDK what were going to do and I am SUPER bummed. Sorry for the rant, i'm just bummed.
@Megane15 I'm sorry about your trip. I went to Disney in January, I was about 6w pregnant. But, it wasn't the middle of mosquito season and I was comfortable based on the CDC website info at the time. Hopefully, the amount of cases will go down drastically this year (I just checked the CDC website, and I found it interesting that NY had almost as many cases as FL, but I've never really heard anything about it previously. Maybe it was mostly cases picked up from traveling, rather than locally?).
Is there another place that you can go, assuming you didn't already sink the money into the Disney trip?
@Megane15 I'm sorry your doctor is so nervous about it! I live 2 1/2 hours from Disney and we're going next month. I asked my doctor what she thought and she said it was perfectly fine. She was more concerned about me staying hydrated! No trip is risk free unfortunately. We switched resorts just in case. (We were staying at Fort Wilderness but it's a very woodsy area with lots of standing water. Definitely more chance of being bitten by a mosquito.) We're surrounded by risks every day unfortunately. I think I've seen more mosquitos where I live than I ever have in the parks at Disney!
@labby18 Did you know that you can get a split mattress? Your DH's side would be whatever he likes and you can pick your side. Then you put them on a king box spring or stand and put normal king sheets on and it looks like a normal bed. Might be a way to convince your DH.
@ColoradoHiker@LaceyC1020 Thanks for commiserating with me! This would really be the only chance for a trip for us, just with the way dates and flights etc work out. If DH really agrees with Dr and we cancel trip we will probably just stay home. I get where the Dr. is coming from, but I also am not that concerned so I'll try and make my case one more time tonight. Then i'll pout for a few days when I don't get my way haha.
@labby18 Understandable! We were not a fans either, but it is a good idea for people who seriously can't agree.
eta: for what its worth I have friends who bit the bullet and got a Sleep Number and absolutely LOVE it. So although expensive everyone who has it says its worth it. Its just annoying that it costs so much.
I really want someone here to get a sleep number bed and then report back. DH and I plan to get a new bed this fall, and are torn between a sleep number and a temperpedic. I think we'd both prefer a temperpedic, but would disagree on the firmness, because he tends to be a stomach sleeper and I'm a back sleeper, so a sleep number seems like a good compromise. Only we don't know anyone who has one, and i'd like to hear some first-hand accounts before we spend that much money.
My parents have a sleep number and love it. If I'm not mistaken, there's a really long warranty/guarantee, 25 years maybe, so you get a lot of time out of it.
For some reason The Bump is not working on my laptop, I can only access it through mobile right now. It's a small thing, but I'm hangry so it feels bigger.

And this is where a second/third tri winter pregnancy is the bomb- long pants all the time!

@Megane15 I live in Orlando, CDC is on top of it here As for Disney in July... I'd advise you to really take it easy. I came last summer prior to moving here and did Disney two days and it was ridiculously hot. It is a brutal heat here in the summer. HOWEVER... that shouldn't stop you. Get an off personal pod. put it on you, and head to Disney! Just keep in mind you will need to drink twice as much water as you think! Try and talk to DH about it. Maybe he will come around.
I'm irritated with a coworker. She just announced she is 7 weeks pregnant and hasn't stopped rubbing her belly while groaning. She makes a scene whenever someone comes in the room about her symptoms and how much weight she has gained. I don't want to seem like a brat but she seems to be clamoring for attention.

This drives me nuts. I had a co-worker who was like this- constant complaining and doing anything to remind people she was pregnant. When she was about 26 weeks, we found out another co-worker was due two weeks after her, and we had no clue until she couldn't hide it anymore. Turns out, the second co-worker who hadn't complained at all had had a way harder pregnancy with legitimate concerns and issues, such as HG. Unfortunately, it didn't shut the first woman up, she just got more AW-ish because she hated the attention not being on her.
That's so obnoxious. I may have posted this before, but I have a FB friend who announced her pregnancy the day after she found out. She has like 10,000 followers. It's ridiculous. Also #4weekspregnant shouldn't be a hashtag! No need to post that soon!
@mrs_tacos I have a sleep number bed and it is great!! It's a king size and my SO can adjust the bed to his desired firmness and I adjust my side to mine. It really is amazing.
ETA: but that is a whole lot of money to spend. I've had great sleeps on other much cheaper bed s too. Luckily most come with a limited return policy SO if you don't like it you could always take it back.
@mrs_tacos Funny side note: If you keep your house cool, don't be like me and try to do a running dive onto a temperpedic, haha. My younger brother got one, but was still living in the basement bedroom at our parent's house at the time. I thought it would be soft and squishy. I was very very wrong. My brother says it's super comfortable once your body heat warms it up, though.
@ColoradoHiker Nope, second! I wasn't connected with her for her first so I'm not sure if it was so early. Maybe she's just very confident things will go well since they did the first time?
My second pregnancy ended with a MMC so my head was exploding when I read it. Not that I wished her anything bad, but I wanted to post "don't you know what can happen?!" Of course I didn't, but her posts make me so nervous
