Okay, I'll start. Not really a true bitch fest complaint, but it's all I have right now: I wish pregnancy wasn't so grey and was much more black and white.
Yesterday, in a 5 minute time span I thought I lost a credit card, DS swallowed a nickel, and I left my iPad in a grocery cart. I found the credit card and nickel. The iPad was still in the cart when I returned to the store. Thank goodness it was easy to find (the yellow car buggy). As I was coming off my near anxiety attack, a man at the second grocery store I had to stop at cut me in line. I kindof thought the butcher would finish helping me especially since I was very pregnant and with a toddler, but no. Then the a-hole asked me to move my buggy so he could see something while he waited. My response with no thought was, "Oh, so you can see me. I was wondering when you butted in front of me!" He didn't respond. I hate rude people.
@clebl24 That sounds so stressful!! I'm glad you made it out of there alive-- seriously. I hate rude people, especially in grocery stores! That seems to be the worst.
My bitch is that yesterday at work I felt like I was in a twilight zone where everyone around me was impossibly stupid. Everyone kept telling me how to do my job and they were wrong! The joys of teaching hospitals and residents. Certainly no offense to the doctors and doctors spouses we have. But interns and residents in the ICU can be irritating and scary. We argue with them until we're blue in the face some days trying to keep people alive. Luckily the attending doc usually comes along and often agrees with us. So frustrating.
@clebl24 I'm glad you said that to him. Shame on him. @ShadeofGreen816 I know exactly what you mean. As soon as June comes and new residents arrive we're constantly getting wrong types of xray orders and have to constantly call to fix them. Ahh teaching hospitals My bitch is that it's not really a Monday it's like my Thursday but I still have two more days of work till my day off but with weekly appointments and everything else were trying to do my days off do not feel like days off to me at all. I have my birthday Saturday then a bridal shower Sunday then next weekend is my father's birthday and a cousin's kids christening then it's mother's day weekend and my due date... I'm just overwhelmed thinking of everything that's coming up and the uncertainty of when little lady will show
@ShadeofGreen816 How frustrating! Yes, sometimes in teaching hospitals it seems like everyone is dumb and wrong. @Yiggle09 That's a lot going on. I hope you can enjoy it all!
I was in the parking lot this morning and going to a stop I saw that I could pull through because I was in my H's truck and hate backing out. Anyway, another car came speeding down and went right where I was going! I was so mad! I had to circle around to find another spot, which I did, but still! It was further back! So, when I was walking up to my building the guy was getting out of his car and I pretty much starred him down and was like yeah you just did that to a pregnant lady, thanks. (All said in my head, but the look was definitely there!)

On Friday I did a thing (that I dont often do) wrong and got scolded by a person who is notorious for being difficult. Well, it's still not resolved and she wants me to call to discuss. I'm way too pregnant and cranky and tired to want to talk about it. UGH.
Okay. Nothing is working at work (email issues, can't access my folders, people not calling me back...) and I broke my stupid water bottle and ugh. I think it's a sign to go home.
DH had a dermatologist appt today and needs to get a possible basal cell carcinoma removed from his nose. He had a serious melanoma 7 years ago and is very self conscious about the area they removed to make sure it was all gone so he wants to wait until after the baby is born and we take all our family pictures before he gets it biopsies because they would probably remove a pretty big crater and want to do it soon. Which is fine with me- a month won't make a difference and it might not even be basal cell- but any not good dermatologist appt for him makes me uneasy.
DD is pushing every button lately. I'm so tired and uncomfortable. Dealing with her adds to the exhaustion. We started getting more stuff ready for baby, so I'm sure some of its nervousness for her, but my goodness is it frustrating!

@KMD1106 seriously! You nailed it. It's so hard to be patient when they insist on pressing allllll the buttons. I forget sometimes (all the time?) how much bigger of a change it is for DD than me. But girlfriend seriously needs to chill out.
Our dog has been outside more lately with the warm weather. He was outside running around at a friends house for four hours today. We found 4! Ticks on him tonight. So annoying. I'm not even worried about him because we do topical treatment plus get him tested yearly for Lyme and I think a tick shot? But it's so gross and I'm worried about missing one and finding it on me, again!
@Hansolosparka I bet that's upsetting for him! I used to work at a skin surgery center and BCC s could wait the longest. I understand his concerns about pictures. Poor guy.
@nda_roxybabe oh no the house temp is non-negotiable! I'm kind of a thermostat nazi. And I go both ways. I hate when he has it on when it's not appropriate,i.e. We're outside and the doors/windows are open. Basically I want to be in charge of it at all times! Now more than ever
Ugh, I just want to whine. I can feel the bitchiness oozing out of me, but I swear if I get one more "No baby yet?" comment, in any way, shape or form, I'm going to end up on an episode of Snapped. I need to remind myself that I really don't think I'd look good in an orange jumpsuit.
@Jens_Hoes we're dealing with tick problems too. Ticks were bad last year and they're predicted to be worse this year. I've found several on my dog already and a couple crawling on the floor in my house. Ewwwww.
H just found out that he doesn't get as much paternity leave as we were expecting. I know his boss will be flexible with him coming in a little later in the morning or leaving a little early in the afternoon (as long as he gets his 40 hours in throughout the week) after his paternity days are used up, but still it sucks.
@NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot I always explain this to DH too. Also, for those with humidity (not @nda_roxybab), it's not good to let your house get too humid, which happens when you let it heat up. For us in the south, I try to make this argument to DH all the time. Do you want mold? No, so leave the AC on.
Currently trying to mentally prepare myself for my appointment at the DMV in an hour. I hate the DMV so much and this will be my first time there with a toddler. Can I just go back to bed?
I turned it back down (thank you thermostat app!) and when he came in after his work out he asked how I was doing I was like "Hot and stuffy!" to which he sheepishly said "ahh sorry, I forget! Turn it back on" Oh I did buddy, I did. Yea, he knows it takes longer/ cost more, but doesn't care. He doesnt like to get too cool while working out, which I get. Normally whatever. Pregnant, nope nope nope.
@OmegaRose3: you actually have an appointment at the DMV? At least maybe you won't have to wait with the 50 other people all annoyed at being there, waiting for the stupid number to come up when it's your turn, finally...
As long as you're prepared with snacks, drink, books, games (basically your entire kitchen and playroom in your bag, haha) you'll do great!
@omegarose3 I'm so glad you mentioned the DMV! I just renewed mine and MH's plates online so I could avoid having to go like I do every year - you can't do it online if you're more than 7 days late, and I'm ALWAYS late! Thanks for saving my week!
@ChristinaWild look up brandy Clark stripes it's a song about how the only reason her cheating husbands alive is because she doesn't look good in stripes and orange ain't her color
@nda_roxybabe I definitely feel you on the thermostat issues...never before have I paid so much attention to ours, and thank goodness for the app! When I had my family over for Easter it was 65 degrees in our house and perfect for me. I gave my mom and sister a sweater when they said they were cold
@RainyDays86 he's only getting half of what we expected for paternity leave. He can use up his vacation days after he's used up the paternity leave, but he's trying to save vacation days for other events we have coming up. This has probably already been said before, but being first time parents (well for whichever number baby you're having really) it would be nice if both H and I could have the same amount of time off from work after baby comes. Yes, I'll be doing most of the baby care with breastfeeding, but it's H's baby too and he's gonna miss out on little changes and milestones. Maternity and paternity leave in the US sucks.
This is more of a mild, makes me roll my eyes annoyance, but I'm annoyed by people close to me giving me advice who have never had an early baby. BFF was shocked that they're not encouraging skin to skin right now because they want him to be bundled up all the time to maintain his temperature, and she reluctantly said "well, I guess you have to listen to the doctors." My sister was trying to give me tips on breastfeeding - DH shut her down by explaining our triple feeding process. Our baby isn't like their babies and they don't get that.
Just a mild annoyance. Unsolicited advice certainly doesn't stop once pregnancy ends!

@kns1988 of course you'd listen to the doctors, they're the experts! You do what's best for your baby! I would be annoyed too! You're doing great, your little guy is doing great, and your husband is awesome for shutting them down!
Everyone has has an opinion and thinks they're the expert...sorry you're dealing with that annoyance!
"A day without laughter is a day wasted." ~Charlie Chaplin
@kns1988 People suck. Not quite the same thing, but when DD was born, she wanted nothing to do with immediate skin to skin. She was so angry that the nurses had to swaddle her to get her to settle down. Every baby is different so I'm sorry people are sticking their noses in to what works or is needed for you.
@kns1988 oh my goodness I feel you on that one! Thomas is having trouble taking his bottle/nursing (but is getting better! Yay!) and SIL told husband that her son started nursing better when they weren't suplimenting him and he had to work for it. Um... I'm glad your full term 8lb baby was able to nurse well, but I think we'll keep the feeding tube in for now, thanks!
@Squirtgun even my full term 8 lb baby couldn't nurse well and we did sns or feeding through a feeding tube attached to a syringe looped into a nipple shield it was frustrating. Eventually I went all bottle exclusive pumping and a friend goes just stop using the bottle force him to take your breast I was like umm no thank you for the advice
Why do people always think they know best? I have a few friends that I already know will be that way. I know they mean well. But sometimes what worked for you won't work for everyone! Especially those of you with true medical things going on - obviously the doctors know more!!
