@TallMomma29 It will totally be fine! The babies will sleep through the night from day one. The older kids will always get along and behave. And you will wake up feeling refreshed every morning.
my fav midwife had 3 kids and her H and her couldn't decide if they wanted a 4th or not. they decided to leave it up to fate...and well...got pregnant with triplets. 6 KIDS! when you werent even totally sure you wanted 4.
My mouth literally just dropped to the ground at that triplets thing. DH keeps joking that we'll have two seats left in our minivan and I have repeatedly assured him that no sex will be occuring in this house until procreation is scientifically impossible. And maybe still not even then because Mary had that baby one time without having any sexy time. So nobody is safe!
(FTR while I'm a little bit terrified of twins, I was worried about #3 being left out since the older two are so close. So I consider it a plus to knock out two more kids with one pregnancy and then be dooooone!)
done. music to my ears. it feels so good. but i still can't pull the trigger on the tubs tied. we are going to wait a year or two then H will get snipped. so my luck there will be a #4.
also the tubes. tubs and tubes all need to be tied.
I just thought that was your affectionate nickname for them.

If I end up with a CS I'm thinking tubes + V. God and/or science (whoever is out there) is going to have to work reaaaaal hard to get me pregnant again!
@carries2018 we were sooo die hard anti minivan. We swore that was the one parent thing we would absolutely never ever do because it is basically driving around with a blinking neon sign that says "Hi. I am a parent and I have completely given up. I have no sense of style or personal identity left." Buuuuut it is sooo awesome! Blink all you want sign, I've got sliiiiiidiiiiiing dooooooooors!!!
truth be told i was willing to crumble and get one, but H was against it. I researched a ton (even though i didnt need to bc strangers on TB told me to get a pilot from the start). but it fit my needs without going to the minivan. 3 across, DVD, cupholders, and cargo. i may have to get one of those roof thingys for luggage when we travel though. we currently fill up H's entire bed of his truck when we go anywhere for a night.

I was terrified that we would end up with twins this pregnancy. We were on the fence about #4 and decided to just see what happened. Then we got serious about it and I was like "but what if we get twins?! Then we'll have 5 kids! Our minivan will be maxed out!".
Crisis averted. There's only one. *insert insanely relieved gif here*
@TallMomma29 that was us too! "We'll never have a minivan. Those are for soccer moms". Then, I got one. What 24 year old has a minivan?? Me. I did. And it ate away at my soul until baby 3 came 4 months later and I realized it was 371826529x better than trying to deal with 3 kids and a midsized SUV
@PizzaMonster3 I have a minivan and a "race car". Because I refuse to ride around in our van on date nights. Dh keeps talking about getting rid of the car (he drives it every day because I traded off his car on this one when he was driving around his grandpa's truck for like 6 months) and I told him over my dead body. It's my dream car and I pay for it. It's not going anywhere.
the idea of twins sounds awesome. my best friends are twins (one of which is a lurky loo around these parts oh hey KP), and my bf from college is one. so basically i am one with the twins.
I wanted twins the first time I got pregnant because I only wanted 2 kids and figured "hey, why not have them both at once and get it over with??" The first several months with my first were such a nightmare that (1) I was soooo thankful it wasn't twins; and (2) I have no idea how I have decided to have more children. It's like some crazy jedi mind trick they do where they torture me to the brink of my sanity and then they do something cute and I'm all "ok I will have approximately 14,000 more of you!"
Not going to lie twins still freak me out. My cousin has twins but didn't find out until her 18 week US! One baby hid behind the other !
Secretly, I'm hoping this is me. I had two mature follies for the IUI and a large part of me really wanted twins DH was so happy and relieved when the doc told us just one, lol.

On the minivan topic, why hasn't anyone figured out how to put sliding doors on an SUV? Why do sliding doors have to be synonymous (whoah that word is hard to spell correctly) with boxy and boring?
Apparently there is a whooping cough outbreak at my school. WHOOPING COUGH. Kids in CA can't enroll in school without an up-to-date vaccine, so either someone fudged the system or this is a new strain of it. No one knows. But one of my jazz band kids, who was at school yesterday, apparently has it. Kill me now.
@soprano19 holy cow! Hope you stay safe momma. We've have a mumps outbreak in the isd/neighborhood next to mine and I pretty much avoided all the local stores during my first tri as much as possible.
@soprano19 there's a whooping cough outbreak at my niece's school, too. Unfortunately, my niece was the one to start it, even though she's fully vaccinated. The school is refusing to let any child attend unless parents provide proof of vaccinations or a signed consent form to allow public health to vaccinate their kids at school.
@shan24 that's the law in CA, where I live. They have no idea how it managed to get started, and there's not much they can do, since everyone has to have proof of vaccination to enroll in school in the first place.

Twins have always fascinated me. Though I never thought it would happen to me. Then came the freak out at the ultrasound and thinking "I was joking before about how cool twins are!" And now a month later it's starting to sink in and I'm getting excited, especially to see them interact and grow up together.
Before getting pregnant, I had always kinda wanted twins. But I realized during the first ultrasound that I was soooooo glad it was just one baby in there. I can't handle two at once right now!!
@curlyq423 same here! I'm starting to get excited and I'm planning on it being terrible/super hard for awhile, but it will be so fun having kids so close in age and seeing them grow up together!
I'm handling the rsvps for a friend's baby shower in a week (the invites had my name as the rsvp contact) and just had the funniest text exchange with another one of my good friends (Kelly). For your amusement:
Me: hey girl, just checking if you are going to Julie's shower! Kelly: yes! Are you? Me: yep! I'm putting the rsvps together so we can plan for food. Kelly: I still need to rsvp. I will do that soon. Me: .......pretty sure you just did? Kelly: haha, I mean to whoever sent the invite. Me: yep, that's me. That's why I asked.

+1 to my friends aren't* in the same stage of life as me.
+1 to the cutie heart eyes to the twin mommas being twin mommas
And FFFC +1 to the minivan love. I've always been adamantly race car or no car, but I secretly want a minivan if I get my way and have 3-4 kiddos.

and who the heck can even afford this? Not my peasant a$$
I *wish* they would pass a law like that here. The school down the road from where I teach had a measles case last week!
