when did your LO turn 5 months? April 12th

height/weight/clothing size? At his 4 month appt on March 27th he was 24in and 11lbs 8oz. He still wears some newborn sleeveless onesies but otherwise is in 0-3/3 month clothes.

milestones? Lots more baby talk; rolling over; trying to sit up on his own. He has his grasps down and his new favorite trick is taking out and putting back in his pacifier. Will start foods soon!

what are LO's favorite things (toys, activities,etc)? He likes anything that plays music. He has a stuffed tiger that rattles that he likes. Playing with his toes/feet and getting them into his mouth. He also oddly enough loves his burp cloths??? He grabs them and growls at them and then pulls them to his face and chews on them. It's cute when he growls.

what is your biggest challenge? Spreading my time between the 4 kids when he still needs so much of my attention. I hate pumping and am having a hard time convincing myself to just keep going.

when did your LO turn 5 months? April 19th

height/weight/clothing size? M is in size 9-12 month clothes already. He's so long that the onesies and footed pj's are too tight in size 6 months but then the pants for the 9 month sizes are pretty loose in the waist. Not sure what he actually weighs now but I think the rapid gains are slowing down so I think he's still hovering around 20lbs.

milestones? Rolling from back to belly started last week and he's a champ at it. Buuuut he gets stuck on his belly because he's never gotten very good at rolling belly to back. Not going to lie, super annoying. He's slso hitting everything now... Water in the tub, tables at restaurants, toys, my face. We're starting solids on Sunday while we're on vacation!

what are LO's favorite things (toys, activities,etc)? He loves to be outside and loves his swing, the stroller, and naked time on the back porch. He's constantly trying to get his toes in his mouth but his torso is so long he's having a hard time getting them there. Loves bath time and being around people - the old ladies at the grocery store are in love with him lol

what is your biggest challenge? Naps. If he'd nap then everything would be so much easier. But he sleeps 15-30 minutes at a time so I'm unable to get anything done let alone catch my breath. Also rescuing him from his belly is getting really, really old.

Almost time for my 6 month one! But I'll answer based on his 5 month date. I like to compare where babies are at 5 months so I assume others do too.

when did your LO turn 5 months?
- March 26!

height/weight/clothing size?
- he was 14lb 12.8 oz and 63.5 cm. (doctor told me he was small for his age) and he is wearing size 3-6 months in most things. Except jeans- he's too skinny for them!

Milestones?
- he is rolling back to belly and belly to back all over the place!

what are LO's favorite things (toys, activities,etc)?
-He loves scout singing to him. Sophie the giraffe. Anything oball (we are fanatics). Starting to enjoy bath time more.

what is your biggest challenge?
-morning change time. He wants to eat to bad he just screams at me. If H changes him, he's happy and talking to him. Annoying. And naps are still a no go at this point.

when did your LO turn 5 months? Yesterday! April 20th

height/weight/clothing size? A is 25" long and 13lbs, she is in the 15% for basically everything but still following the growth curve. She has been right on track in clothing sizes, currently 3-6 and 6 months.

milestones? She rolled from back to belly on Easter but cannot go the other way yet. She discovered her feet this last month. She grabs for the bottle and pulls it into her mouth. She also learned how to make motor boat and/or farting noises.

what are LO's favorite things (toys, activities,etc)? She has one rattle in particular that she loves, she also loves bath time, I pour the water over her with a cup and she just loves putting her hands out in the waterfall. She loves being worn in the Lillebaby, she hated the Ergo.

what is your biggest challenge? Honestly with her not really anything at the moment (i'm sure that will change). I still find it challenging to juggle everything. Cooking, cleaning, dinners, dog, cat, baby, trying to get my portfolio website/resume updated, and right now getting ready for our vacation.

65,3 cm, 7080 grams and wearing size 65/68 ... I should learn the American way, sorry!

milestones?
Moving in rounds...as she stays in one spot, but if I put a toy at her feet she'll move towards it (probably had a name for it?)
Shes also trying to crawl badly, she gets her knees under her butt, but her arms don't work

what are LO's favorite things (toys, activities,etc)?
Sitting and standing...anything so she can see better, she's very curious!
Loves chewing on everything (also her burping bibs are a favourite)
She loves her Lulla Doll and a cuddly rabbit.
Trying to crawl and being upset when exhausted as she 'forgot' how to roll back to her back. I can relate @MrsMaryK2016

what is your biggest challenge?
Having her to drink calmly. As she needs to see all she has no time for that. And she also believes only babies need naps and she's not a baby

She was 24 inches and 14 lbs at her 4 month appointment, no idea what she is now. 3-6 months in onesies and tops. Anything with feet, she's in 6-9 months. She has huge feet, is long and hates feeling confined.
milestones?
Regularly rolling belly to back, grabs things well (including my glasses), "talks" to us regularly, eating solid food on the regular
what are LO's favorite things (toys, activities,etc)?
sofie la girafe (I call her my bougie baby), grabbing/staring at her feet, her Alice in Wonderland teething blanket, carrots, bananas and pears
what is your biggest challenge?
dealing with all the stuff on my plate (baby, mom with dementia, work, dog, cat, husband, christening planning)

milestones?
rolling belly to back but hadn't mastered back to belly yet. He gets into his side and stops there.

what are LO's favorite things (toys, activities,etc)?
anything he can chew on. Teething over here with one lower tooth already showing!

what is your biggest challenge?
giving enough attention to DD while taking care of DS. We had a mommy daughter day today where I took her to get a Mani Pedi while DS was in day care for 4 hours. It was good to have some one on one time with just her for a while.

height/weight/clothing size? I'll measure her on Monday (maybe I should just wait til then to post... FOMO

) I'm going to guess about 26 in, 19 lbs. She can squeeze into some 6 and 6-9 month, but she's comfortably wearing 9 months.

milestones? She's belly laughed quite a bit this month! Rolling back to belly - not frequently, but she's doing it. She's been doing raspberries and making other new sounds. She's not as chatty, though, as she was month 3.

what are LO's favorite things (toys, activities,etc)? Girl loooooooves the jumparoo.

She likes sitting on the deck watching the trees move - only a recent activity in the last week since the weather's been nice.

what is your biggest challenge? In the last week and a half or two, she's demanded a MOTN feeding

after giving them up in mid-February..... lort!

when did your LO turn 5 months?
The 18th

height/weight/clothing size?
At our 4 month appointment he was something like 16lbs, at least 26in. He is in all different sizes depending on brand and stretch, but he is mostly in 6-9 month clothes. He's really long with big feet, so that plus cloth diapers limits some of his clothes.

milestones?
He laughs super hard all the time, and it's the cutest thing ever. He is rolling back to front and occasionally front to back, but it's not consistent. He's getting up on hands and knees and rocking back and forth, as well as scooting backwards until he runs into something or we move him back. He's been giving us about 12 hours of sleep in a row at night, which is crazy awesome! For the last few nights he's been doing a 2am wake up for food though. Still can't complain!

what are LO's favorite things (toys, activities,etc)?
He loves when we sing to him or when we act super silly. Right now he just enjoys anything he can put in his mouth. He's also really interested in touching our faces and grabbing my glasses.

what is your biggest challenge?
Biggest challenge is still to not freak out/over react about everything, especially breastfeeding. It's also tough working opposite shifts and trying to get other stuff done, especially cleaning and exercising.

milestones? Rolling over, eating puréed food, attempting to sit up, new sounds/talking, spitting with her tongue
what are LO's favorite things (toys, activities,etc)? a few rattles, her walker (for about 10 minutes) her playmat (but lately she's rolling around too much to stay on it, likes to watch Disney jr with her sister
what is your biggest challenge? Sleeping through the night. Won't sleep in her pack n play except for naps. Tried the crib for a nap and that was a fail. only sleeps in her swing and never for more than 4 hours.

when did your LO turn 5 months? This Tuesday, April 25th

height/weight/clothing size? At his 4 mo wellness visit he was 20lbs 3oz & 28". I think his weight is slowing but not his height as we are moving into 12 mo clothes.

milestones? Rolling from back to belly and belly to back, though I think that's him trying to stay on his side. He can look at and grab objects with unsettling accuracy and his bottom teeth are breaking through.

what are LO's favorite things (toys, activities,etc)? He loves the exersaucer and activity mat as well as sitting chatting, Fuzzy Bee and Friends (book) and bath time.

what is your biggest challenge? I can't keep up with myself. With two LOs and being back at work/pumping I feel like I'm on this constant 24 hour loop where I'm doing just enough to sort of get by. It's killing me just a little bit.

height/weight/clothing size? At her 4 month appt she was about 14lbs. She wears 3-6/6" month clothing.

milestones? No rolling here. I think she might be getting a tooth, but it's still early to tell. She found her feet last week.

what are LO's favorite things (toys, activities,etc)? She loves her big sisters. She shoves anything she can hold into her mouth. She likes her Oball because it's easy to hold.

what is your biggest challenge? Putting her to sleep. We are working hard on drowsy but awake, but not succeeding and her bedtime is all over the place. Cleaning our house and keeping up with everything isn't great. And giving enough attention to each kid.

when did your LO turn 5 months? April 22
height/weight/clothing size? He was 24.5" at his 4 month appt (which was really 4.5 months). He's around 13.5lb on the home scale. Fits well in 0-3 but that's it. I am finally putting him in some 3-6 stuff I have mostly just so it gets worn since it is long sleeve stuff
milestones? He finally rolled from back to belly on Saturday! Took forever to get a video since he does it so quickly. He still hasn't discovered his feet
what are LO's favorite things (toys, activities,etc)? He loves this blue Elephant from the Eric Carle collection someone gave us. He likes to look at the other baby in the mirror (ie himself) and giggle or get shy
what is your biggest challenge? Naps. Sometimes I feel like I battle him to take the nap in the crib almost as long as he stays asleep. He is napping in the car seat/stroller a decent amount. I'm also just struggling in general with still feeling alone with baby raising which I can be ok with a lot but then some days it really hits me and I get sad or mad that my H is still a pretty crappy dad even though he has gotten better and is trying some it is still not that much.

height/weight/clothing size? Somewhere around 24 inches, 14.5 lbs, wearing 3-6 and 6 month clothes.
milestones? starting to roll over both ways, turning herself around on her playmat, grabbing everything, making "guh" sounds, loves playing with her feet and can get her toes in her mouth!, kicks her legs and flails her arms when she wants picked up.
what are LO's favorite things (toys, activities,etc)? chewing on her buddie (buddietoys.com these smell like vanilla and she loves chewing on it's ear/legs), splashing in the bath, going on walks in the stroller or lillebaby.
what is your biggest challenge? Naps have shortened from 1-2 hours to 30-45 minutes... makes it hard to get anything done around the house on weekends. I'm still struggling with wanting to stay home with her, but needing to work. We are in the process of selling our house so we can get in a better financial situation, and then I might get to stay home or work part time, but I'm getting pressure from family to stay working and tough it out (not DH, he is supportive of me staying home or working, whatever keeps me sane). I feel guilty either way... Guilty I would not be making an income we could use to afford a better house/build savings for future schooling opportunities, etc or guilty that I would want to work if I didn't really have to and miss out on her early years. I don't love my job, it's not bad, but I don't love it. I can always go back to work, I can't get these early years back. She is still not eating much at daycare and although she is making up for it at home and is growing, I feel bad. Does the mom guilt ever end?

when did your LO turn 5 months? today , 11/25
height/weight/clothing size? at her 4 month appointment, She was at 85% for height and 15lb3oz, did not measure afterwards. But I think her growth did slow down a lot.
milestones? she s been rolling from back to tummy and rotate around herself, somehow. she can roll back to her back only at certain angles, if her arm is in correct position. She has pretty good control of her hands.
what are LO's favorite things (toys, activities,etc)? She loves her play gym, rolling and rotating to play with different toys in it. She loves bathing and getting naked. She loves throwing her toys off from her high chair, especially hard plastic ones that would make noise when they hit the floor.
what is your biggest challenge? The big change in our lifestyle is burning me out and destroying our marriage. H is still in grad school , he was supposed to finish before the baby but he did not. So I could not take more unpaid leave and returned to work. Since we chose (the biggest mistake) academic careers, we are not making much money and now dependent on our parents to take care of the baby. So this whole situation is making me angry with H like all the time and we do not have any time for each other. I do not know how we are going to save this relationship. Oghh and LO does not like bottle , it is another factor that increases my mom guilt about going back to work.

@ZoeFer i hear you on the mom guilt. N does not like bottles much either and I worry she doesn't eat enough at daycare. We just got done with a week vacation where I only nursed her and didn't pump. It evened out my slight oversupply, and it was so nice not to mess with bottles and know she was getting enough all day....

when did your LO turn 5 months?
On the 1st, so she's actually closer to 6 months now.

height/weight/clothing size?
Not really sure, at her 4 month appt. she was 16 pounds, and I remember she was in the 75% percentile for height. She's in 9 month, or 6-12 month clothes now.

milestones?
She is champion roller and can maneuver herself pretty much anywhere she wants to go, so we're having to be extra careful about stuff that's on the floor and within her reach. She can roll and spin and is pretty much completely mobile and can move herself in any direction via rolling and spinning. Her first tooth poked through this week, and we started solids (purees) about 2 weeks ago.

what are LO's favorite things (toys, activities,etc)?
Rolling, talking, being loud. She loves soft, crinkly books, and anything that has a tag on it. She's also recently developed a love for banging whatever she's holding onto the ground ... or me lol.

what is your biggest challenge?

Juggling the two LOs who are both still completely dependent on me and feeling like I'm constantly failing someone. For example, DD needs a nap, but DS needs his lunch, so I have to leave DD to cry while I prep lunch then she has to wait to take a nap because I'm preoccupied making, serving, supervising, and cleaning up DS's lunch. I feel guilty because a lot of times she seems to get the short end of the stick. She's always having to nap on the go and doesn't really get to have a schedule for her day, she's basically just fitting into his schedule however she can. I'm constantly afraid I'll never have the special bond with her that I have with DS because he and I had so much one-on-one time together, but then I'm also constantly afraid of losing and jeopardizing my bond with DS by pushing him aside (so to speak) in order to tend to her needs.

She had a check up a little over a week before turning five months and she was 25.8 inches and 14.4lbs. She fits perfectly in 3 month onesies and 6 month pants cause her legs are so long.

Milestones?
She's been rolling for a few weeks, but she's just now getting really comfortable rolling all over the place. She's also getting close to sitting without having to prop up with her hands and crawling (more like wiggling along on her belly) just a little

What are LO's favorite things (toys, activities,etc)?
Loves making faces with us and is practicing her baby talk a LOT. Giggles like crazy when I pretend to eat her belly or her toes which is too cute. And coloured scarves..... those are a huge hit.

What is your biggest challenge?
Separation anxiety, she doesn't want me to leave her for a second, even in the same room. Thankfully she still sleeps fine without me, but I have to be very accessible during all waking hours....

March 31st (so almost 6 months now)

rough estimate 72cm 8kg (I'm American but live in France so all his measurements are metric!). 6-9 months clothing

milestones?
he babbles, laughs, screeches. He has 2 bottom teeth (and chews on everything!). Has favorite stuffed animals and toys. And he is ticklish now under his chin

what are LO's favorite things (toys, activities,etc)?
Grabbing toys that dangle above him. Staring and laughing at his crib mobile. Playing with his feet lol

what is your biggest challenge?
making him understand that his food or bottle is coming and that I just need 2 min to prepare it! Lol
