@jessirh you're welcome! There are some things that only the "main" person can do. The one that affects us the most is subscribe and save orders. So I still have to go into his account to set those up.
FFFC: If DH died, I'd have no idea where all our money is. We invest in real estate so we have approximately a zillion different business bank accounts, plus we personally bank with at least two banks that I'm aware of and each of those banks has a bunch of different accounts because DH is kind of OCD about splitting up savings accounts into well-defined buckets. And then we have all different kinds of investment holdings... I know we have money parked in Lending Club and a couple of start-ups, but I have no idea how much or where everything is. I used to think I'd always be super financially independent but then DH came along and was SO MUCH BETTER at financial stuff than I am and I was all too happy to be like, I'm out, just take care of it please.
Three pages long and it's only 8:45am Pacific! Nice job, ladies.
- We have a combo of separate and joint finances. We each put money into a joint account every month for any shared expenses such as bills, groceries, going out to eat, anything to do with DS, etc. The amount we each contribute is based on our earnings, so DH contributes a little more since he makes more than me. The rest we keep separate. Works really well for us. Otherwise I could see myself throwing MAJOR shade when he decides he needs a $4k mountain bike in addition to the 4 other bikes he already owns.
- Yes to sharing an Amazon prime subscription but having our own accounts.
- I never separate laundry. The only thing I care about washing separately is the gross stuff like bath mats and dirty rags. Otherwise it's all combined.
- We've done the deed like 3 times this pregnancy. I have no drive currently.

This. Dh is into fitness and all that jazz, he spends so much money on shit that I would be livid if we had joint money and I knew about it all. He keeps talking about some expensive bike and I don't care because I don't feel like he's using any of "my" money to buy it.
Guys. I am sorry I need to just lightly vent a little as a confession. I have a headache that goes away and comes back and has been doing it all week. I think that it may be a stress/BP headache. I'm talking to my OB about it on Monday but it only happens while I'm at work.
My coworkers are really not kind people, they are the type to be friendly to your face but then demolish you when they are among each other. We're in different departments and I've been the center of attention lately. It's really starting to wear down on me. I really don't want to be here. There's one lady in particular (you might remember her, the lady who cursed me out in front of my boss) well, because my boss asked me to be nice to her, I tried. She was unresponsive to my niceness and now has told everyone in the office that I am the one who hates her. She's making my work life miserable and I just want to go home.
I'm strongly considering talking to my boss about how I feel. It's getting ridiculous and I just want to be in an office alone with the door closed. I've never been so unhappy at work in my life.
Dang ladies! DD and I just got up, 9:00 PST. I'm trying to keep up. Here we go ...
- Laundry - I still wash DD's stuff separate from DH and my clothes. Hers get folded, ours don't. Who's got time for that??
- Cleaning - ha! I haven't cleaned our bathroom since we moved in. DD's only gets cleaned when the inlaws come since they share and they rarely come. And the downstairs bath is cleaned when company comes over. Everything else is cluttered and it drives me insane. Ugh.
- Money - everything is joint. But I run the Amazon account! That's all that really matters right??
@migdala same situation here! DH manages all of the money, and he's good at it and responsible with money so I don't care, but I really need to have him write everything down somewhere. If he died, I don't think I'd be able to find everything! Also please don't die DH. I really don't want to manage any money. #priorities
@VLillyV im sorry, ive lived a very similar situation and it made my working life hell, i hope either someone speaks up about it or your boss figures it out and does something to shut her up
@VLillyV I'm so sorry. I've had jobs that I've been insanely miserable at, but not because of people being assholes, I can't imagine how hard that makes it. that's awful
@VLillyV toxic people in your work environment is the worst. My first job out of college was like that and I was miserable.

I'm not sure where spray tans stand on the "do and don't" list for pregnancy (I've read conflicting arguments) but I'm highly contemplating going and getting one anyways. Not being blindingly pale makes me feel better about myself. Judge away

I actually meant to google this yesterday. I'm pale AF.
@sjohns08@Myelhsa I think they are safe! My best friend is 18 weeks pregnant and she's a spray tanner and she's been doing it her whole pregnancy! I think y'all will be good!
I'm at the airport waiting to fly out for a girls weekend. My flight is delayed an hour and I've already spent 1.5 hours on a shuttle so my phone battery was down to 48%. I just paid $29.99 for a charger (the one I brought is not working). No regrets.

I'm pretty sure this is on the same level as getting your nails done in the salon at your own risk.
- Deep cleaning, what? Add me to the swipe at stuff a couple times a week and call it clean club!
- We have a joint account. I still have my own, also. Our joint account is for bills and household expenses. My account is where my paycheck goes and that is my "spending money" I'll call it. If I didn't keep my "I love buying crap I don't need" money separate, DH and I wouldn't have made it long as we have. He's a saver, meticulous about money and where it goes, could probably tell you to the penny where every dollar is. Me? I'm the one that checks my account every now and again...sometimes it's weeks.
- Not going to lie. For the past couple weeks been having sex over here like it's on clearance. I'm pretty sure my DH is getting sick of me. It's his fault, anyway. I just remind him that you know, he should really be grateful for this opportunity cause when I close up shop.....
- DH and I had a trip planned next month to Mexico for our anniversary. We're brilliant people who never even thought about Zika. I'd say we were paranoid, but THE most random crap happens to us, so I'd no doubt contract this and be the case featured on Dateline. Needless to say, we canceled and are now trying to figure out where to go with short notice. Someone suggested Bermuda as Zika isn't there according to the CDC, and DH was interested when I mentioned it to him, but that creepy triangle........either way, I feel like we're gonna be a Dateline special.

@Myelhsa I feel like so many things are "do at your own risk". The way I'm looking at it, my migraine meds are probably way more risky than a spray tan. Mama needs to get her glow on and not feel like shit about herself
@acnd08 That sucks about the Mexico trip. DH and I just realized last night that he can't go to Kilimanjaro like he planned in July because Tanzania has Zika there too. Bye-bye, $500 deposit... Can't believe we didn't think to look it up until last night.
@migdala We felt the same way. We also lost some money, but not getting Zika is worth it, haha. It never even entered our minds when we booked the trip. I think it should be a standard question on all travel websites now, "Are you knocked up? If so, go back to the drawing board."

Re: sex. I feel so guilty bc I have zero desire to DTD. Obviously it has nothing to do with DH. He's sexy and I love him. But I just don't feel like it! Ugh. I can tell he's wanting to do it but I'm just not into it. BJs are not happening! I'm pukey most days and that will only make things worse. Not cute! Haha

I mean, DH and I do it like once a week. That's normal, right? Is that normal? I mean, we basically do it once a week even when I'm not knocked up so, I guess it just feels normal...?

@VLillyV I'm so sorry about the awful works situation. That doesn't make it a happy work day. I hope a talk with your boss will help.
Finances: we have had joint accounts ever since we got married. I used to imagine each keeping a separate account with a joint one for household expenses but this works for us.
Cleaning: I deep clean the bathrooms once a week but recently bought a daily shower cleaner that I spray on and I only deep clean that every 2-3 weeks. My kitchen floor on the other hand could use a good scrubbing. I always separate light and darks and towels for laundry.
Sex: I think we've only done it 3 times since conceiving and we are really due. DH gets so grumpy when he doesn't get it but he tries not to complain.
I'm still cleaning my cat boxes too although I do wear gloves. It's just way easier than nagging DH to do it.
@natleilynn I think it's normal. It was like that for us before the BFP too. Before DS it was more frequent but I still try to make an effort and find time for it. Just not after the BFP. I guess that's the ultimate confession...it's been like 3 months since we last did it I feel like a horrible wife

Oh my gosh you ladies have been so busy today. Slow down so I can keep up! Today has been insane, and I haven't been able to play Here goes: 1. DH and I have our money completely separate, besides a savings account that we put an agreed upon amount in each pay period. We split the bills 50/50. As long as both of us are paying the bills and putting the money in savings, we don't question eachother's purchases; it especially works for us since we make pretty much the exact same salary and also DH loves to spend money on what I see as stupid stuff. Since it's "his" money, it doesn't bother me. We save a large percentage of our paychecks. 2. Also with Amazon Prime- DH and I have completely separate accounts, but I get a free Prime membership through him as you can include up to, I think like 4 members of your household in the membership. So we don't see eachothers purchases, thank God, the man has packages arrive like every day. To be fair, most of it is Prime Pantry and for the house. 3. Sex has still been regular, but less often than normal. 1-2x a week. I enjoy it, and frankly, DH is a more pleasant person to be around when he's getting laid regularly. Not that he would ever pressure me or say something, but he does get cranky. 4. I'm not good at the whole cleaning thing. I cook every night, help pay for our cleaning lady and do all our big picture budgeting and financial management, so I don't feel too guilty that DH does most of the cleaning in the house. I do plenty of other things! 5. I live in South Florida and I'm TERRIBLE at wearing bug spray. I rationalize it by telling myself I'm relatively far from any recorded Zika mosquito (a county away), the weather hasn't been conducive to mosquitos, yada yada, but I need to be better. I did get a free Zika test 2 weeks ago and it was negative, so I'm not too worried about it. As the summer comes, though, I will commit to regular bug spray. 6, @myelhsa Mind. Blown.

The only laundry separation I do is the kids seperate from mine, and Dh is seperate from everyone. His clothes seem to always ruin everyone else's!
