i was advised to keep separate accounts prior to marriage and best advice eva! We have a household accounts (savings & checking) and we pay the bills from the checking. For major expenses we split into thirds.

But it yeah no arguments about who is spending what, when or why.

  • We have a joint account and our financial situation got so much less stressful when we started using a zero based budgeting system. YNAB for lyfe.

  • Fffc - 2. We keep our money at home and our bank accounts empty and just use them to drop money to pay bills.
And so whenever i need somethings (kettle chips lately) i just look into the kinky clothes drawer and grab a little money.
