Thanks ladies. Today is actually one of the days my midwife had had available last time o saw her but I was scheduled to work. I pro estimated but called because my cramping didn't stop. My urine culture had been negative last time so she asked me to come in today to check for a heart beat since I have some spotting. DH had just left for work but he's able yo swing over there and meet me. Fx
Went in, felt silly being there. She found a heart beat right away. Took a urine sample and vaginal swab just to make sure there isn't another reason to be cramping. She told me the SCH is nothing to worry about and she wishes techs wouldn't tell women about them.
@MaximumEffort don't feel silly for getting the reassurance you needed. My SCH was massive and I agree, I wish it had been explained to me so I wouldn't have been as panicked about it. Glad all is good!

This is basically what my doc said too. Glad it's all okay!

Sleeping in and resting! No bleeding at all today so I'm happy! Planning to take it super easy again today just to be safe! My doc also ordered me an ultrasound to evaluate, trying to figure it when to schedule it since we only have one car and hubby works the opposite schedule. She said the bedrest was the right move though!
@MaximumEffort I always feel silly calling, too, but my Doc and the ultrasound tech always tell me it's ok and not to feel silly calling or going in because it's your baby and you want to make sure everything is ok! I'm so glad everything is alright with your LO!
Glad to hear the positive news @irishfrisky and @MaximumEffort! So I started feeling better last night nausea wise and pain wise (kidney stones are gone!!) Hallelujah!! And then just like that the nausea hit me so hard and fast that I literally threw up out if my nose. It was so gross!! I'm hoping though that will be the crazy ending to my horrible relationship with MS as I have not been sick at all today.
@swimsister I'm 12 weeks tomorrow. I still feel equally terrible as I did at 8. But, I was lurking October earlier this week and it seems like almost all of them are feeling better! So I'm reassuring myself the end of nausea is in sight.
@MaximumEffort@irishfrisky I am so thrilled to hear that you are both doing well ! @swimsister I'm 12 weeks. I was absolutely horrible on so many levels (one day I put my 1.5 year old in the tub with toys and no water and fed her lunch in there because I was throwing up non stop) I am only throwing up once a day now. So it definitely got better for me. I found really cold foods made me feel better!
@swimsister Thanks! I think I'll feel better once my CVS results come back and I get to 13 weeks... That's when my OB considers the second tri to start.
@swimsister I am as little over 10 weeks. Aside from what was going on yesterday my symptoms have gotten a little better. Better than I was at 8 weeks, where I was nauseous and in pain every time I ate. Now I can eat again, I'm not as bloated/gassy.
I'm 9 weeks (10 tomorrow) and things have completely heated up this week! Hello nausea and vomiting! I had only gotten sick once before this week but it has been terrible these past few days. I finally know what all you ladies have been complaining about the past couple weeks. Thankfully it seems to be mostly in the late evening so far so it hasn't been affecting work yet with the exception of today. I'm so thankful to have an amazing education assistant with me because I was running to the bathroom all morning. I've also been having crazy food aversions. I can't seem to find anything that tastes decent to me. I'm trying my best but between the aversions and nausea I feel like I'm starving baby bear.
@NYTino24 that's a good idea about the lemon water I am definitely going to try it! It actually sounds yummywhich has been a hard thing to come by this week.
I am all for throwing a massive party when we all make it to the second tri. Maybe we should collectively buy a cupcake and eat it on the same day or something ?
@bcashaw So I am reading that skin changes on the face can be normal. Guess I'll keep an eye on it and ask the doc at my appt in a couple weeks or call if it worries me too much lol thanks!!!
@jess0211 are you around children a lot? If so, it may be worth it to talk to your doc now so they can make sure you haven't been exposed to fifth's. I doubt that's it but it could be.
im 12+4 and I'm feeling a million times better than I did a month ago. Still randomly nauseous but it's the exception now not the rule. I even manage to put DS down for his naps without falling asleep with him most days!! For most of us it WILL get better. Hang in there!
Pregnancy symptoms are really not fair when you spend the entire day exhausted, struggling to keep your eyes open, nauseated, and constipated. And then you go to bed and you are hungry, thirsty, have diarrhea, or and let's sprinkle in a little insomnia or terrifying dreams to make sure you're just as exhausted tomorrow. Cool! Thanks, body!
So I'm 11 weeks today based on LMP however at my last two U/Ss I was a few days ahead and I'm pretty sure I ovulated earlier. I'm starting to get pain in my stomach when I bend over. It can't be my uterus, right? It's not that big. Feels like I go to bend and I'm squishing it. I have to kind of pop my belly out to bend at the waist, if that makes any sense. I'm wondering if it's my organs being pushed up, getting caught in my ribs or something crazy like that. I know it's just going to get worse, but even sitting is already uncomfortable at the end of the day.
@irishfrisky and @MaximumEffort yay!!! Glad all is well. Im just soooo tired. Like soooo tired. Nauseated too but sooo tired. Please let me make it through this busy WFH day.
@cmessamore honestly I have really felt this whole time like pregnancy isn't that fair at all. I am thrilled and blessed to be having a healthy pregnancy, and feel guilty complaining about it because I know so many would love to be in my shoes. That being said.... it's so hard. So so hard. And the first trimester feels even more unfair because you can't tell anyone and everyone expects you to act how you always act. Ugh.
Re: Symptoms Thread Week of 4/17-4/23
@irishfrisky how are you doing today? Thinking of you!
Sending good thoughts.
...sorry I keep complaining about how hungry I am
I'm having a hard day....

I'm happy for you both reaching 12 weeks though! We should have some kind of celebration thread for surviving the first tri.
