@08-16-08jms I have to make sure I wash my face twice a day with a gentle cleanser (Clinique for dry skin). If I skin once I wake up with a pimple. I also use a tea tree oil toner from The Body Shop but I also used an apple cider vinegar toner I made myself. Moisturizing and sunscreen (without oxybenzone) helps too. I had oily/combination skin prepregnancy and even then, when I moisturized regularly my skin did better. I use a Clinique moisturizer and a Shiseido sunscreen in the morning and Rosehip Oil at night.
eta: I have used benzoyl peroxide a few times while being pregnant for some stubborn pimples. I know it's generally on the no-no list though. I used Murad's 3.5% benzoyl peroxide cream instead of the Clean&Clear one that's 10% (I'm assuming that means there's less in it). It worked well for a super painful white head I had on my nose septum that kept coming back.
@08-16-08jms the other day when I was 9+3wks, I had a moment of panic because a long snot like thing came out of me- I was so paranoid that bleeding was gonna start that night etc. but nothing else changed and it hasn't happened again since! I'm assuming all kinds of strange discharge is gonna start happening.
Turned 10 weeks today (yay!) and for the last 2-3 days my symptoms have been massively on the improve. Still exhausted, but the nausea is lessening and I even had a big appetite yesterday.
Of course there's that part of me that's thinking 'oh I hope Baby's okay!' But I'm focusing on enjoying more and being happy that I could be one of the lucky women that starts feeling better at 10 weeks. Here's hoping I am! :):)
@slaven I don't know how to technically describe it, all I know is that at the end of my last pregnancy, the "plug" came out bits at a time, not all at once like a cork, or anything like that.
@slaven if you want to risk vomiting, you can google it. There are PLENTY of pictures of a mucus plug on the internet. Sooo gross...but so helpful near the end of your first pregnancy when you're trying to figure it all out.
When my mucus plug came out, it was after they broke my water. It's a massive glob of stuff, so you'll know if your mucus plug comes out. It's not just a little ball of stuff. Increase in discharge is totally normal in pregnancy. I even felt like some days I had to wear a panty liner to keep it contained!
I just read about the mucus plug in Girlfriend's Guide!
TMI I wear a pad or panty liner almost every day because of all the discharge I have. It's pretty gross. The pad isn't fully necessary but it does a better job of making me feel dry.
@kaitieb14 literally have peed myself so many times while hurling that I contemplated wearing diapers... I'm gonna need to wear them after the baby anyways so why not start early?

im also using pantyliners btw. Discharge is serious and I read between 9-12 weeks it gets the worst!
