I suppose I have a Thursday confession... I've never tried this Phish Food y'all speak of.
I have never tried it either.
I just googled it and it looks pretty amazing... I may have to get some next time I'm at the store! (Says the girl with 2 kinds of ice cream in her freezer that she thought she wanted and now won't eat, lol.)
I really like Phish Food. My only complaint is that if you don't let ben and jerry's thaw some before trying to get it out of the container, it can bend spoons! Maybe I'm just not as strong as I thought, haha, but I've never had that issue with other ice cream!
Btw, after all the comments about 13 Reasons Why on here, I started watching last night. DH wandered by when I was about 15 mins into it, and we ended up watching 2 episodes. It's so good!
Hey ladies! We made it back to the States and are settling into my parents' house. The boys are still adjusting to the time change (DS1 was up at 0300 this morning & DS2 is STILL sleeping (almost a 15 hour stretch). The time change is getting me too as I'm pretty warn out, but that could also be pregnancy and 24 hours of traveling?! Hating the time difference between us and DH now as we keep missing each other and he hasn't gotten to 'see' the boys since we left. Hopefully tonight before bed we can catch him before he deploys...still catching up on all the posts from y'all over the past few days but enjoying being on the same time zone. As @Ae_Lovely321 commented it's weird being on a different one
+1 on the never tried Phish Food before. I'm not sure I've ever had Ben and Jerry's either.
Okay, you guys have made me want to try this 13 Reasons Why. Still trying to convince DH to watch it with me, but I may have to just binge it on my own.

Hooray for being back in the states! Boo for missing DH hopefully you catch him tonight!!
Also... @wyomama0427 and anyone else I can't remember that has actually watched the show...
It really is so good. I was homeschooled so I never had this kind of high school experience. It was eye opening for me. I am so scared to send my daughter to school now. I really hope that as our children get older that these issues they are facing are something that have been dealt with.
True spoiler for the show below...
I really felt for the characters on this show. They truly felt hopeless and like they had no other choice. Hannah, Jessica, Alex... How devastating to watch this as a parent. And the last episode when they literally showed everything. Seeing her parents running to her TORE ME UP! I haven't cried that hard in a long time. I was shook. I couldn't get those images out of my head all night.
Yesterday I posted that DH wanted to wait until the reveal party to know what the baby is. Update: He made it six hours, SIX HOURS, before he said he couldn't stand it anymore and had to know. I gave him the cd with pictures on it, including the potty shot, and let him decide. So now he knows!
@mrsmarygs I'm trying to decide how we should do it. We're not having a reveal party (this is #2 for us), but I would love to have a special way for us to find out, anyway. And btw, your siggy challenge picture freaks me out every time I open the spoiler box. Every. Single. Time.
@HollyGolightly09 So funny (well kinda). I was telling DH about the Birth Stories thread. I was all "so on the bump there's this thread about birth stories, where the bump girls are telling their stories about previous births...IT IS THE MOST HORRIFYING THING I HAVE EVER READ" he just died laughing, because I started out so calm and nonchalant, and then i was like AHHH. lol
@ColoradoHiker Our tech asked us if we wanted to know, and when DH said he didn't, she put the sex in an envelope for me to open. You could take that envelope to a baker and have them make a reveal cake. Another couple of ways I've seen it done is going to the store and picking out two outfits the same price, and having the cashier package the correct one, or doing a baseball/golfball/smoke bomb reveal. Hehe, I don't open spoilers in anyone's siggy anymore. Those things are scary!
@ColoradoHiker We're having them put the sex in an envelope and then taking the envelope and box that I'm going to decorate this weekend to the party store. Then we'll wait outside while they fill it with colored balloons and we'll take it to my aunts to open with our immediate families. I didn't want to do anything big or crazy and I also don't want to wait long after we leave to find out because I do not own patience pants.

@Swazzle LOL at patience pants! Yeah, I can be patient, but not with stuff like this. Maybe we could fill a box with balloons, and take pictures of DS opening it? Part of the problem is that my parents live 3h away, and my in-laws are 15m away. I know it will make my mom sad if we celebrate without them, but we don't have time to make the trip up there right now, and I'm also lacking in patience pants. I want them to feel included, though.
@ColoradoHiker I'm not sure how tech-savvy your parents are but you could even Facetime/Skype them in while your DS is opening the box! My AS scan is next Thursday which isn't an ideal day of the week to have people over when they don't live close by but again, since I'm lacking in the patience pants department (and DH fully agrees), we're not waiting. For the family that can't make it, we promised to have someone Facetime them in so they can feel like they're there.

I was wondering if he would actually last that long, lol. I know my DH wouldn't have.
Ugh - I got SUPER nauseated all of a sudden about a half hour ago. But I have a TON of away from desk stuff to do this afternoon. If I don't eat I will get sweaty and even more sick. So I'm choking down some pasta salad. I just want to go home and sip ginger ale, but we have two people out and 1000 things that have to be accomplished before end of day Friday.
I also have no patience pants- when the us tech asked if we wanted to know boy or girl, I said yes before she had finished the sentence. No big reveal for us, that takes too long!
So, um, I have now had a second very awkward encounter with a maintenance man. You might remember that last week, due to a miscommunication about time, one walked in on me in my bathrobe singing show tunes. This morning I'm pretty sure the window cleaner guy saw us having sex. He told me yesterday he would be on our balcony between 9 and 9:15. But he showed up at 8:40, and our blinds weren't closed, and there we were.... Due to angling, I'm pretty sure he mostly saw DH's butt, but still. I had to go outside like 10 minutes later to move some patio furniture for him, and he turned bright red. Apparently he had knocked on our front door to let us know he was here early, but we clearly didn't hear him. I'm sure he heard us, we weren't being particularly quiet..
I also just did a big girl thing and killed a spider. Threw his butt out side and squished him some more.
Has anyone ever ever heard if you leave a spider carcass on your window seal a spider won't come in your house? My dh thinks I'm crazy. But every time I put one on my window seal they never come in. So dh threw my spider away and then what happens not even a day later a spider makes a appearance. Coincidence? I think not!
@jutondreau I'm glad you're safely back! Hopefully the jet lag won't last too long. FX you can connect with your DH tonight!
@jena333-2The random onset nausea is the worst, especially if you've felt good for awhile. I hope you feel better soon, and your work day goes quickly!

I've actually heard the opposite. When I was a kid they used to say that a dead spider attracts other spiders. But I have no idea if that's true or not.
Well I'm gonna need google to tell me because I do not want any spiders in this house. Dh can't kill them because every single time he misses and somehow it vanishes and comes back when I'm home alone. I am terrified of spiders
Thanks. I'm a little nervous because today has also been full of sneezes, light headedness, a dry throat, and some nose stuffiness. I'm hoping I'm not coming down with something and that it's just rando pregnancy icks.
I'm gonna only take a short lunch break and go jump on some of that stuff that needs to be done. You know what Mary Poppins says: well begun is half done.
@mrs_tacos hahahaha you have the worst luck. I think on days you expect someone, just sit in a chair completely dressed calmly waiting in expectation. All day. Haha because clearly time frames are not working.

I just switched from Verizon to AT&T a few months ago. If you don't mind me asking, what were some of the issues you had with AT&T?
