@labby18 Why adults like to be perceived as the victim is something I will never understand. My MIL's favorite thing in the world is to make people feel sorry for her. But, yay for maybe getting to move back there!!
My mother is the queen of playing victim recently.. le sigh. I can't even care about her wellbeing anymore because she's so whiney about everything all the time now.

That's a great deal. Just a heads up about the insert-- a lot of babies don't like them (including mine) so I just rolled up a receiving blanket and it works great but I love my ergo.
@labby18 Thats a total steal! I have an Ergo as well, they are great! You'll easily be able to resell it for what you paid for it when you're done too which is always nice.
For lunch I ate a sandwich from the deli in the base grocery store. When I told the guy I wanted lettuce and pickles on it, he pretty much a whole pickle jar on my sandwich. I like pickles, but I like bread and meat too. I was too hungry after waiting 30 minutes in line to say anything. I guess I'll go back to my regular salad tomorrow.
Sorry to hear about all the guilt-tripping parents! Hopefully when they become grandparents all the pettiness goes away and everyone can be an adult agwin

Woohoo! DD did fine with the insert. Fortunately when we used it with her it was colder because she generally got pretty warm in it, I couldn't imagine if it were hotter. But I am sure you will figure out what works for you guys! I hope you love it. I used ours at Busch Gardens with DD up through Christmas this year when she was 3 years 2 months and probably about 32lbs.
Y'all oldest DD (16) started her first job last night. When she came home, she came into my room and told me all about it. Listening to her talk about her job and "her manager" made my heart warm and made me feel so old. Time goes way too fast. She will be a senior next year. I don't think I am ready.
love when boss man is like "you didnt do this or that or email me this or that" and i'm like "yes i did" and he goes through his email and BOOM there it is.
it's really gratifying because he was ready to lecture me.

16! I am sure it flew by. I am so not ready for that. It's so great you have the relationship with her that she wants to share these moments with her. I hope and pray me and DD have that kind of relationship.
@cmar1006 its not always that way. Teenage years have lots of ups and downs, but I try to keep pushing, even when she tries to shut down. Teenage years make you appreciate your mom lots!!!
Random question. So my mom is looking for a baby shower venue and she found one we both really like. But the only open Sunday is in August during my 35th week. Is this too late? I know it leaves very little time to get stuff we still need but I really like the venue and i'm trying to rationalize this. Am I nuts?
@Megane15 it might be a little late just because you may not be the most comfortable. I remember towards the end of my pregnancy with DD I was always uncomfortable. But in the end do what works for you!
@megane15 I had mine at 34 weeks and it was NBD for me. I didn't get uncomfortable until 36 weeks so 35 weeks might be cutting it close for you. So long as you can just sit and you have others pack up the gifts after the party for you, you should be fine.

I think I had my shower closer to 30 weeks. I'm super type A and wanted to know what all I needed to buy to get the room ready. And let me tell you, most people didn't buy things off the registry except for my mom, which was super annoying. If you like the venue and don't care if things aren't completely set up way in advance than go for it.
@Becky012016 That's basically what my Mom told me, to just sit there and smile and thank people for their gifts.
@jessieR358 We will have the nursery done before the shower anyway, i'm too type A to even chance putting nursery stuff on the registry. Our nursery will be done by end of May. So at least that will be taken care of.
SO's mom was super sweet today. She took us out to dinner and hung out at our house for awhile afterward. While I was laying down on the couch she sat down next to me and started rubbing my feet. I was surprised cause even SO doesn't do that but it was great. She kept telling me how much she loves me and DD and how much joy we bring their family.
I got a really cute blue and white tie dye ish type t shirt dress at Walmart today. I really like it. I also got a red and white striped t shirt dress, a ridiculously soft camo type dress, and two pairs of crop leggings for $3 each, black and grey. Overall very pleased. Also got some cool mint Zantac which I was excited to try lol.
@mrs_tacos our dog had a hard time adjusting to the baby stuff, she used to grab one of DS's blankets and pull it into a corner and sleep on it. Like she was claiming it as hers. Dogs are funny little things. Think your puppy may be needing some more attention from you?
I just finished 13 Reasons Why and I think I died a little.
I may never finish it, lol. DH and I are watching it together and there never seems to be time we can both sit down and watch a full episode. We just finished 7, I think...
@wyomama0427 I think he was trying to get the cat, who had been sleeping on it. We sometimes have issues with them getting a little difficult with each other (like any siblings), and usually when he pees in the house it's because she's been picking on him, so he pees on her toys or someplace she likes to sleep.

Hahaha oh my gosh! Just like siblings. That's funny.
I've seen everyone talking about this 13 reasons why so we started it last night. It's really good! Reminds me of the movie 'If I Fall'....gonna be hard not to binge watch today while DH is at work!!!
@Msashley2010 aww that's really cute. DHs mom is like that (except for the feet rubs). We email back and forth and she wants updates every appointment. She's more involved than my own mom.
@Ae_Lovely321 it is a slow week I noticed that too! @MrsVP614@Jamiern01 phish food is the best! I love it so much! I ate soooooo much of it when I was pregnant with DS, I don't keep it around often because it's very dangerous for me lol!
