  • canonmom413 I totally feel your pain. The inconsistency is so frustrating! Here's hoping you can take the rest you need on the days you need it.
  • Am I the only one having horrible pain in my ass cheek? It's been there for 3 weeks and it comes and goes but wtf is it and why won't it go away? It's pretty much only in my left cheek (it feels like a muscle maybe?) and sometimes hurts so bad I can barely walk.

I'm having god awful back pain. It started right when i hit second tri about 2 weeks ago. Im hopong it's just ligaments stretching, but I dont remember this with DD.i have a doc appointment tomorrow, so I sill bring it up then, but back pain like this (this early at least) worries me.
  • I have to sit up out of bed to pee and in the morning because if not the RLP kinda makes me feel like I got shot in the hip. It's lovely. Also, I feel everything stretching out and I don't know how to deal with it. Do I just let it stretch, do I take a bath in tummy butter for stretch marks, am I being dramatic? #FTMissues
  • @tyannej   I also feel the same way about stretching out.  I put cocoa butter on my tummy every night mostly because it itches so darn much.  My mom has some stretch marks, so I'm pretty sure I will have them regardless.  (I read those can be genetic...can't remember where)

@tyannej +1 to the RLP, I get out of bed very carefully and awkwardly. I'm weird, though, because I kind of like the RLP. It makes me a little warm and fuzzy to think of my body stretching to accommodate LO. I've been achy in my lower stomach for the last week, too, which is less warm and fuzzy because it's a little scary. Some achy back pain @dumbledoredies.

@tyannej I was just wondering the other day if there was any correlation between RLP and stretch marks. I couldn't find anything online, let me know if you do. I wouldn't bother too much with the stretch mark cream, it doesn't do anything, unless your belly is itching or something then it could help with that.

  • dumbledoredies kkerner87 tyannej I'm sorry you ladies are in so much pain. :( Here's hoping for more good days than bad days with the pain. I hit 12 weeks this week and I've been getting headaches. I know we can take Tylenol but I don't want to be taking too much Tylenol either.
  • Ugh also, I think I have a UTI. Heading to minute clinic to see. That could be what this achiness is about. Pregnancy is so glamorous!

  • @bluejeanbabi05 I definitely will, I haven't even thought about if there could be a correlation! I'm not itching just yet but I'm sure that will come too. I've also been very achy in my lower stomach, I actually asked the doctor about it when I went on Monday and she said it was totally normal as long as it's not menstral cramp feeling. 14-16 weeks, I've been told is the biggest growth spurt for baby therefore us mommas feel the growing pains!

@JessDG my mom also had stretch marks but she flat out told me that she didn't even try to do anything to prevent them or taking care of them post partum (I didn't know you could do anything post partum, I just thought if they were there, they're there) I haven't done much research on it but I have also heard that it's genetic but I've also heard that if you don't scar that easily it reduces your chances.

It's getting hard to sleep comfortably (I mentioned it in the STM check-in). I'm currently sleeping with like 5 pillows. Getting ready to order myself a pregnancy pillow!

  • Anyone else dealt with or dealing with rib pain?  I was smaller when I got pregnant with my first and had it terrible from stretching out so fast I guess, I never looked into it or asked about it really.  I wish I was still tiny but I'm not, however I am already getting this pain again.  I thought we didn't get that until late 2nd into the 3rd trimester.

  • I've had a migraine the last 2 days and all the sudden heartburn has become a constant. This baby better have hair
  • mrs_fogue I feel it sometimes in the night if I am sleeping too long in one position. When I try to move, yes, definitely feel rib pain! Not sure what to do to alleviate it though!
  • I think I have SPD already  :/ I had it with DS, but not until closer to the middle of my pregnancy. It sucks.
  • @dumbledoredies sounds like it's your siatic nerve. Mine has been hurting too. There are some stretches that you can google but I am to lazy to do them.

  • Aww the lovely symptoms thread. Let my whining begin!

Today, I have had a headache ALL day long. It was actually very painful about 30 minutes ago.

I've started getting the Linea Nigra on my belly.

Some days I feel great, some days I feel awful.

Still can't eat chicken (tried yesterday, such a bad idea). I am still not very hungry and am extremely snippy now.

My sciatic back pain is lethal some nights. I also had tons of nightmares last night (cross my fingers that's not here to stay)

Also, suffering from Pregnancy brain. Things easily escape me now and I am overall foggy.

  • @VLillyV. I have found this week that I cannot so chicken.  It's weird...it happened overnight!
  • It hurts to sneeze. I read it's caused by round ligament pain :(
  • VLillyV JessDG +2 for the chicken aversion. It's the one meat I haven't really wanted at all.

Also suffering from day two of constant headaches (plus the preggo brain) - are you taking anything for the headaches, @VLillyV?
  • @keiraanne Hey, not taking anything :( just gritting my teeth through it. I am increasing my water intake and eating dark chocolate. That seems to take a bit of the edge off temporarily.

What about you? I am a little off-put by taking anything if it's not a migraine (though it sucks so bad!)
    Lilypie Pregnancy tickers
  • @spark88 I'll have to look into that, thank you!

@keiraanne @VLillyV I've also suffered from some headaches this past week but haven't taken anything for them. Luckily mine haven't been horrible, just annoying.
  • VLillyV I caved yesterday and took one Tylenol because I know acetaminophen is okay, but trying to push through it today by increasing my water intake and got a good night sleep last night. Hope this isn't a symptom that lasts too long.
  • @VLillyV +1 on the chicken adversion... started 2 days ago. I've been on a steak adversion for about 3 weeks now. I don't know what I'm going to eat. I'm making spaghetti tonight but I'm running out of options! And my headaches went away after week 14, they were like frank a whole bottle of red wine at one time hangover grade headache.. and I just took Tylenol, and a cool towel over your head while laying down helped me a lot too!
  • @dinosaur it is, I have the same thing. Getting up too fast, sneezing, all of the above; feels like I got shot, it's lovely!

Have any of y'all felt movement from baby yet??
  • Is there anyone who already can't wear their rings??  My fingers don't seem swollen but every time I try wearing my rings my ring finger swells up and gets red patches around where my rings were that take days to heal.  Anyone else buy a cheap fake ring in a bigger size while pregnant?  Is that super lame?  My finger feels so naked!

  • @TallMomma29  hey, I spent almost the entire first trimester struggling with my ring. For some reason the bloating has gone down substantially in my hands, but there are still times where my ring feels like it's going to explode my finger.  I ended up with an indent on my finger, Lol.

I was thinking about just buying a fake cheap ring. I would feel weird without one. Target has some cute ones!

  • @dinosaur the sneezing pain just happened to me today, too!

@TallMomma29 @VLillyV my fingers haven't swollen yet, but I'm planning on getting a cheap ring when they do. I would also feel naked without one!

  • @shan24 I think I already have it too and it is kicking my butt! It freaked me out until I figured out that was probably it...I was worried something was wrong.
  • Excellent.  We can add our amazeballs Target rings to the ring thread!   :D

I never had this problem with my first two... even third tri I kept my rings on until I left for the hospital!

I have been feeling a lot more energetic lately! I still like to take the occasional nap though ;) My boobs aren't as swollen and my nausea has decreased quite a bit. I do have headaches often, though. I only take Tylenol Regular Strength (OB approved) if I have a migraine that won't go away. Thankfully, most have been minor headaches that are more annoying than anything. Also, I cry whenever I see something sad about animals on TV. It's like clockwork. I love animals and like to watch veterinary shows (I used to work in a veterinary clinic, so I find it really interesting) and I was just bawling my eyes out. My husband is starting to learn to change the channel. Haha!

  • I've had major pains this weekend. Mostly Friday and Saturday.  At first I thought it was from being on my feet and dealing with all the running around I do at these comps. But Sunday I walk in and three people came up and said "'wow you really popped, you didn't have that last week!" I think it's more or so the clothes I had on but this morning I woke up and truly feel bigger. So those must have been those ligaments stretching and growing pretty rapidly.

  • Yesterday after church we were standing outside on the sidewalk and I passed out for 5 seconds. Thank goodness my DH was there and caught me. But my dr said I got over heated.... it was 68 degrees yesterday and I'm in texas..... this is going to be a long summer

Heartburn has been on and off the whole time (mostly at night), but as of yesterday, everything gives me heartburn. It was this way with DD and I ended up with a Zantac prescription. Add me to team "can't eat chicken", It's making me crazy, because I normally cook chicken 4 nights a week. Most of my go to meals are chicken based.

  • The pelvic pain is ridiculous! I can't get out of bed without wincing because of the sharp pain between my legs. This started so much later with DD. Throw the RLP and back pain on top of it and I swear I'm already waddling.

Add me to the list of those needing a replacement wedding ring. I will most definitely be getting one at Target in a few weeks. My fingers swelled like sausages this weekend.
  • I think my pregnancy induced anemia is back. I always have low iron , even when not pregnant, but not enough for supplements. When im pregnant, I have become anemic ( atleast the last couple pregnancies I have).

I am am freezing cold. All.The.Time. It's currently 65 in the building right now and I'm shivering. I wake up freezing, go to bed freezing ... but wake mid night in a sweat. I need some steak in my life.

  • SO. MUCH. GAS. I feel like a walking fart bubble.
  • Finally feeling more energy and starting to add back the foods that made me nauseous. However, now I have had a pinched nerve in my butt for 5 days now. Talk about a pain in the butt!
