Yesterday after church we were standing outside on the sidewalk and I passed out for 5 seconds. Thank goodness my DH was there and caught me. But my dr said I got over heated.... it was 68 degrees yesterday and I'm in texas..... this is going to be a long summer
@tyannej how has your BP been?  For some reason when I'm pregnant I get super low blood pressure, and if I stand in the same place for too long (more than a few minutes) I get fainty.  It could be BP too.  Nothing can really be done other than to try not to faint. Super helpful!  :D

  • Same thing, same side. I feel you!
  • Sciatic nerve pain has me walking like an 80 year old. I did have spurt of energy and now i'm tired all the time again.
  • @canonmom413 do you usually do anything for your pregnancy induced anemia other than increase your intake of iron rich foods? I'm usually just on this side of normal for iron and have been worried I'd get pushed into anemic with this pregnancy.

My mom had read that vitamin C helps with iron absorption so shes got me stocked with citrus fruits whenever she comes to visit.
  • @tyannej Oh dear. Sorry for the dizzy spells. I get them when I'm standing in a packed train. I had to ask for a seat because I was ready to pass out. Luckily I got one straight away. Basically you need two sexy slave boys to be fanning you with giant feathers until you are done.

  • @cram314 your mom is correct. I try and up my vitamin c intake with my iron rich foods. I hate taking supplements because they back me up terribly. I love little cuties oranges and eat two a day, usually with breakfast. I have been trying my best to get more red meat and iron rich veggies in.  I know my OB will want to test me at my next appt. so when I see her I can ask further other ideas instead of supplements. I go May 11th.

  • Has anyone else had bad round ligament pain? Sometimes it hits me in the morning before I pee (sorry TMI). One day i thought I was going to have to go to the hospital it was so bad. The pain was unbearable and shot all the way down my leg! I was literally crying and hunched over my bed and my cat was meowing at me Lol. Somehow I managed to walk to the bathroom and as soon as I peed, the pain was gone! I think my bladder was too full and was causing stress on my ligaments? I'm really good at self diagnosing. I called my Doctor's nurse line and they said that I was having ligament or nerve pain but not to worry.

I had an ultrasound this week and everything is fine with baby. So it seems like I just need to be more careful and be sure to go to the bathroom right away in the AM.

Also, has anyone's symptoms, i.e. nauseousness, morning sickness, and tiredness/exhaustion increased in the second trimester? I was literally not sick at all my first trimester and it seems like everything is getting worse this trimester!
  • I have been getting the worst charley horses in my legs for the past 4 weeks. They're so bad they make me want to cry! Any suggestions on how to get rid of them?
