Re: WTF Wednesday
A 10 minute appointment took 45 minutes and I'm now over an hour and a half late to work.
I mean, my work is cool and all, but geez. My time is somewhat important, too!
BFP#3: 2/9/13 EDD 10/18/17. Team Green for Round 2!
I need this thread right now. Today- right now- starts my "counter day" season. A counter day is where I set up a table with my products (commercial refrigeration and ac parts, super sexy) at the stores I sell to and try to charm the contractors that come in the stores into buying them or at least learning more about them. For 3 hours. They're awkward and boring and I hate them. I have two a week through May, then 3 a week the entire month of June. Please keep me entertained today!
Do you have candy for your counter? I mean, that usually gets me to stop at places
BFP#3: 2/9/13 EDD 10/18/17. Team Green for Round 2!
@natleilynn I so agree on the first appointment and waiting.
My WTF is something that I just need a place to share. In my previous mom's group which has dwindled down to 65 girls, 3 of them have lost their moms unexpectedly within the last 2 months.
I'm obviously heartbroken for them but it's been really eye opening about our parents mortality. I just feel the need to spend time with my parents all of the sudden.

It worked out because DH's parents have decided to move down here now, too (just like I knew they would, all part of my master plan).
Even more terrifying - the time will come sooner than we think that we are those parents that are facing their own mortality.

@natleilynn I brought in donuts, and in an hour or so I'll order pizza. I definitely bribe people to talk to me. I also make awkward eye contact and say hello to everyone so they feel weird if they don't stop by.
As an added wtf, the bathrooms at these stores are always terrible (they only deal with contractors, who are all male.) this particular bathroom has a handwritten sign on the wall saying "please don't dispose of used toilet paper in the garbage." WHY DO YOU NEED THAT SIGN.
@natleilynn i SO feel you. I scheduled every apointment at 8am always on days H dont work so I should be first and we dont spend our day off in the waiting room. Hospital where my obgyn works is 5 mins away from our place and ive witnessed during my little sister s pregnancy 5 hours of wait (shes lazy and wouldnt schedule hers before noon). But somehow each apointment we had to wait TWO hours before being seen!
@beezeemarie loool you killed me. Also cause i would feel the same way about H doing something like that around the house. I do it all. From light bulbs to drilling walls...
@mrs_fogue totally understand you. My parents are not that old (dad 60 and mom 53) but living 6000 kms away from them it gives me anxiety to think that someday in the middle of the night id receive a phone call that would destroy me) that i wouldnt even have the time to get there "on time". Everytime i hear about someone losing one of their parents i cry like they were my own. Basically cause i feel bad, it was my choice to live on another continent.

- Had nightmares all night that involved waking up screaming
- Computer in our room spontaneously decided to boot up and update itself (sound effects and all) at 3am
- Child(ren) upstairs will not stop jumping at 6am and shaking out entire apartment
- Currently have a headache
- Coworkers are being mean to the underlings and it bothers me because it's really mean
I'll just leave this here, it could be a work in progress though!@jesssssrg Somehow i got the right number of sssss's to tag you! I hope you feel better, and DD too
@natleilynn a similar thing happened with my dad, his brother died at 50 so my dad thought he would too. He's about to turn 60 next year
@yasandson Good morning love!
@jessafishy I hope that the tests are conclusive, the stress must be awful
@beezeemarie hopefully in pristine condition

My WTF: WTF Neighbor. I live in a townhouse and my next door neighbor (great girl, love her) plays her music so loud I can hear the bass over my TV. I have mentioned this to her before and she says he stereo is against that wall. I can't exactly escape and go somewhere as I'm supposed to be taking it easy on the couch until the end of the week. It's almost nap time honey...tone it down over there!!!
I do my best to see my Mom as much as possible and we talk every single morning and evening on the phone without fail. She and I may not be super close, but I am so very thankful to have her.
@natleilynn My best friend's husband (who is only 35, mind you....) is like that. No kidding. He goes on and on and on about how he's going to die (of cancer, he's already picked out caused of death) young because most of the men in his family have. Keep in mind his Father is still alive and well, but because Uncles and Grandpa died early, he's on his way out. My best friend gets so aggravated with him, haha.
@beezeemarie I refer to my husband as "Tim Taylor" when he's on a Mr. Fix-It mission. Comparing him to Tim on Home Improvement is about all I can do. It's like PLEASE don't mess with it. It'll be ten times worse once you're done.

My WTF is that last night was a 9pm dance night, and tonight is another 9pm dance night! I worked last night until the girls were done. Thankfully tonight I just work until the other girl comes in- about 1-2 hours. So my plan is to grab miso soup and a cooked sushi roll from the local joint in the shopping center and head home and send DH out to pick them up. I need a break! Comp weekend is approaching and I want all the rest I can get so Im not momma bear to folks who look at me the wrong way.

also WTF, my boss took it upon himself to let everyone in our DIVISION (division > region) know I was pregnant. So at a dinner last night for a regional training - someone at the other end of the table said something about "oh yeah the pregnant girl..." I think if I would have told people myself I would have gotten more respect rather than be the object of conversation.
i am the only woman at this training, the only woman in our region and one of two women in our division. I didn't hear about this until this morning and I am still livid.
