How is everyone feeling?!
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

I feel like I'm more bloated now than I was in weeks 7 and 8.  I have a very visible blump and none of my clothes fit right.  I'm tying to embrace it, but I'm hoping it looks more "bumpish" next week

I'm also trying to figure out how to get all of my water in.  I know it's technically tasteless but I'm having trouble drinking it.

DS1 is 7.  DD is 1.  DS2 is coming in late April.

  • @mariposa_767s I find that squeezing some lemon in there makes it easier. My problem is I just pee it out. What's the point?!

Had it before. Hoped to miss it this time. Nope.... it's early. I cant hardly move one min then the next it is a bit easier. Then bam! My pelvis locks up and i am in agony.

The plus side is that I know my hospital offers physio for this that is free for maternity patients. I just dont know how long the wait list is. I hope I can get i  to see someone soon. I also hope I wont need crutches this time. They're really hard to use when bump gets big.

So very ragey atm. HG improving. A bit. Insomnia still not great. Have also discovered we cant afford baby shopping till July.....and I wanna go now! (End whinge)
  • @NYTino24..... i hear ya! The Moe i drink the know i pee. Why? I feel like i am living life in between bathroom breaks.

@mariposa_767s have you tried getting fluids another way.... more fruit and salad etc. Doesnt help heaps but helps a little. Also drinking water with lime or mint. I drink a million cups of tea....i am really bad at plain water. I found getting a water filter helped too.
  • So tired. All the time. I've given up on even pretending to be productive during DS's naps and I just snooze with him.
  • @mariposa_767s I hated water for a couple weeks as well. I pretty much had an aversion to it. I hope it doesn't last long for you either. Mine was a much shorter problem than most of the other aversions I had. I found that drinking very cold water was the most palatable.

  • I feel like I'm at a cafeteria and my body asked the lunch lady for one of everything today...

  • According to the chart, I'm all the things! The nausea decided to step it up today, thanks no thanks. I live for my kid's quiet/nap time, I get to lay down for a nap too and without it I can hardly make it through the day without at least a 20 minute nap. The headache comes and goes, but the moodiness. I am all of the cranky. I was with the last one too, so I guess it shouldn't surprise me. I hate food. Except salmon, I can eat all of the salmon, which grosses out my DH because he's a vegetarian who never liked fish even before he went veggie.

Drinking enough fluids has been a big problem. I read your supposed to get 10-12 drinks a day. Haha..if I'm lucky I have two. Drinking anything water, tea, juice makes me feel way to full and nauseous. But now I feel like not drinking enough has made me a little constipated.  I'm trying my best. Flavoured water has helped.

I also have bloat beyond what I should for 9 weeks but seeing the above problem I'm not surprised.  And still waiting for the nausea to ease up.

  • Some nausea this morning and awful headache again last night. My back has been aching a bit today as well and the RLP is real. My biggest struggle though is my moodiness. It's outta control! Anyone else?

  • @2Dash I was the same way. At the same time I was having the aversions to water (somewhere 7-9 weeks) it also made me feel too full and nauseous if I had a full glass. But sipping water was slow torture. Again, that's gotten a lot better for me and I think as I've been able to get my water intake back up (and start eating vegetables again) ive made some big steps towards easing the constipation. I'm 11 weeks now and I'm able to drink two big glasses of water to get my day started without feeling badly afterward. I hope it works out the same for you.

@ArtificialRed yes I'm hoping so too!

  • I am beyond bloated. I cannot wait for week 12 and the end of the progesterone supplements, which should help cut down the bloat.

A doctor friend of mine felt for my uterus over the weekend and it's already halfway to my belly button! No wonder I've been getting so uncomfortable in my jeans. It's not quite a bump yet, but between that and my bloat, I feel like a blimp. I'm sure the chocolate cake I had for lunch today isn't helping either.

  • Ok, this might be TMI, but anyone else having the nastiest smelling toots ever? I remember this with my first, but I feel like it's come on a lot earlier this time. Also, agree on the water intake. I basically had an aversion to plain water a couple of weeks ago. Lemon helps, and I've been trying to drink other things, like lemonade and tea, but I'm trying to keep my sugar intake in check, too, so it's a hard balance. Ice water helps!
  • The constant peeing is NO JOKE. I legit have gone every hour today. Feel like I'm wearing down the carpet with my never ending walks to/from the bathroom.

I had SPD last time, as well. Every so often I get this little tinge and I know it's coming. I'm hoping it won't be as severe this time if I don't gain as much weight (60 lb), but I won't know until later on, I guess. Meh.

Did you do physio last time? If so, did it help?

  • It's my first day back to work/ school after spring break, and thank goodness it's a teacher only day! I am exhausted, moody, dizzy, and having a moment of anxiety and depression. The earliest my therapist can see me is June, so I'm going to have to ride this wave. Last time I had really bad post partum depression and anxiety, and I'm hoping to avoid that this time..

  • @Ladybentspoon I'm with you, lady. I go back with students tomorrow and it's depressing. I had some major anxiety over it and standardized testing the last few days. I'm worried about the exhaustion, but happy I'll be forced to get off the couch.

  • Ok this might be TMI but im actually sore from all the wiping after peeing. I kid you not. Last night I was up every hour or so. And this morning a caved and had a cup of coffee and it was horrible. I ran to the bathroom 5 times. My lady bits hurt from all the wiping. I need a spray bidet or something.
  • wet wipes! and a patting motion. saves me.

  • +1 for wet wipes and patting. Ran out for a day and freaked. Thank goodness for Amazon prime.

  • The headache is killing me. Tylenol no where near cuts it.
  • @ShePersisted I thought it was just me! The nighttime peeing...ugh.

mariposa_767s I am struggling to drink water as well. It's tasteless...but I don't care for the taste right now...which makes no sense.

ShePersisted  As a frequent peeing person my whole life (thank you overactive bladder), I feel your pain. I have found "dabbing" kind of like when you try to get a stain out of the carpet to be better than wiping. I know it sounds strange, but it will dry you off and not create friction.

Holy mother of nausea, I am not loving week 8 of pregnancy. It's like 8 weeks hit and the nausea train hit me hard. I had it off and on before during the evening, but not it's like this constant, underlying feeling of queasiness, blah and vomit that lasts all day long. I am taking unisom + B6, but I can't tell how much it is helping. I now have a nightly routine of throwing up right before bed and I can't wear my night mouth guard (to prevent grinding) because my gag reflex is strong.

I just keep telling myself...this is all worth it, this is all worth it.
  • HG is still shitty, and the meds are making me constipated to the point of vomiting when I can actually go. I have a hard time drinking water because I want to chug it but I can't. So thirsty but can't keep water down. I'm thinking of trying flavored coconut water for better hydration than water but idk if I'll like the taste. I've never been a fan before.

  • Major aversions to food and fluids. Carmel frappuchino is the only thing that gets me through. I'm on all the meds (Zofran, unisom/B6 and Reglan) still vomiting and persist moderate to severe nausea.
I had HG with my son. Was hospitalized 7 times so this time is easier so far.
  • Andplusalso soooo constipated.
  • @QTAMum3 solidarity sista.

Pretty sure the cold water thing may help.  I need to get my knock off Yeti cup and keep some ice in there.
My yeti (and yeti knock offs) are my constant companions. I got these awesome silicone straws at Walmart and they fit great in there and help since DS only wants "momma's water" allllllll the damn time and the silicone is toddler chew proof.

But if anyone is having an issue with water not being ice cold I totally recommend the RTIC brand. $10 at Walmart and your water stays ice cold all day
  • A majority of my pants don't fit and I'm tempted to just get rid of them because we're moving and I don't want to deal with them. I know that I'm not going to be one of those mom's that works out after delivery and loses all the weight fast (props to you that do). 1. It'll be winter, 2. I don't work out as it is so I highly doubt I'll do it with a newborn, and 3. It'll be winter. Why hold on to clothes that I may never fit in, especially when we move so often?

  • The nausea is kicking my butt. I was nauseous with the last 2 but I could keep it at bay by eating this time nothing helps! I too get the headaches and running makes it worse! Today I napped for the first time. It was awesome but I was dead to the world and struggled to wake up. I wish we weren't keeping it a secret because I'd love people to know. We are waiting until 12 weeks which is just before Mothers Day.

  • @baycamp That's what I think will happen. Plus most of my pants were tighter to begin with. I don't think I'll ever be the exact same size or shape again which I'm perfectly okay with. I feel like keeping them is just pressuring myself to fit into them again. Thankfully my favorite jeans still fit for now lol.

  • I'm the opposite from everyone with seeing. I don't usually have an urgency to pee, ill actually forget to but also void a large amount when I do go.  I'd blame is on my profession but before pregnancy I had the urgency to owe more often.
Felt pretty good today, actually got to eat tonight bit exhaustion and body aches have hit hard today.
  • @BayCamp those Walmart cups are what I live off!! I have had 5 today... not looking forward to how many times I'll have to pee tonight but at least I'm hydrated!

Ive been feeling okay, still nausea/ food adversions but I can feel my appetite picking up, I just hope the adversions go away soon so I can go back to eating healthy food! I also am still very tired but I am able to stay up a little later at night which is nice.
  • I'm lying in the bathtub right now and it's the most amazing feeling ever. I've been really taking a turn for the worse in the nausea/dizziness area the last 3 days so I'm hoping the extra relaxation will help.

I also am on the not drinking enough train. I'm awful at drinking water to begin with so I think not drinking enough and then not drinking extra is adding to the dizziness.

And deep cystic acne, which I never get. I always get small whiteheads if anything and ive had a huge one on my face for like 3 weeks now. Yuck.
