@junicek I am not pcos, but RE thought it would help with the thickening of my lining as well as weight loss- my glucose tested a little high so they said it would help with that as well. I can't swallow big pills at all so they prescribed the liquid version which is out of stock until June - pharmacy is trying to figure something out. Are they cutable or crushable?
I was on clomid for the first 3 IUIs and then injectables (menopur/Gonal-F/cetrotide) for this current IUI (b/c it was a cancelled IVF). I actually responded much better to clomid than the more heavy duty meds. I know this is probably not normal, but I guess my point is that the response really seems to depend on the person. I don't envy our doctor's their job; it seems more like an art than a science sometimes, this whole fertility medicine thing!
Also, want to echo the PP who mentioned that the clinics can sometimes give you free meds. We are also OOP and I don't know if its because they feel bad about our cancelled cycle or what, but my nurse is going to give me some free cetrotide next cycle (if this round fails). So it doesn't hurt to ask (your most sympathetic nurse )

Also, I gave in and POAS this morning, 11 dpIUI, BFN..... Anyone else testing too early?
Yesterday we met with our RE to talk about the next IVF cycle (assuming this IUI doesn't work). The plan: wait for period after stopping progesterone, BCP for 2 weeks, wait for period, lupron for 2 weeks, start stims again in mid May. Ughhh so much waiting. But I guess I like having a plan.

Thank you so much! I will certainly ask. @bpietronicco
We are in the same boat. Some ladies on the Low AMH board told me about a clinic in NY that charges $4k for IVF. Its CNY Fertility. I have a consultation in May. My RE wants me to do two Injectable cycles but the medicine is about a thousand. So Im only going to try one.
@daisy222-2 Thank you so much! I dont know what I should do.. You are right, Im sure it depends on the person. I guess I will try it without Clomid then see how I respond.
Im so sorry for the BFN. Maybe its too early? Im hopeful!
I never thought I would ever pray for AF to start! I am just ready for this cycle to start and hopefully work this time!
@daisy222-2 FX that you just tested too early!!
@bpietronicco - I'm in the same boat as you. I was supposed to have CD1 yesterday, but it's not happening... I know she is coming, but right now just spotting. I need flow to start so I can go in for my baseline - I'm going to try to go in tomorrow, just in case it's tough to go in over Easter weekend.
I'm so scared that my cysts haven't resolved - part of me doesn't want to go in at all, I want to stay in denial, but then part of me is like: "I want to move forward." Ugh!
Hope everyone in the 2 ww is trying to keep busy and has some plans for the Easter weekend. My 1st week has gone by quickly and I am not feeling the bad side effects of the prog. supp. as last time.
@funkykey I have to keep calling and rescheduling my appointment. Right now I am scheduled to go in on Friday as they want me to go on day 2 or 3 for baseline. I finally started spotting today.
FX and prayers that cysts are gone and we can be cycle buddies this cycle!!!
@bpietronicco Hope you have a good baseline US! Just had mine on Monday, good to see someone here close to my cycle :-)

I have a question for those who have taken birth control to reduce cysts formed after a stim cycle.
How long after taking birth control pills did you start your next cycle? I took my last pill Sunday night and am supposed to start my next cycle of Menopur Thursday night. Does that sound right?

@JaeJayStark Baseline is usually done on CD 1-3 during AF. Maybe you are having an ultrasound to check your follicles to see how maybe have grown due to medication? I had an ultrasound on CD 11 last time for that.

@bpietronicco - my flow started and I'm having my baseline tomorrow too!!! FX for us both!!! Let's hope Apr 14 is a lucky day for all!
ETA: @JaeJayStark from what I gather, baseline ultrasounds are particularly common both before and after clomid cycles. Because cysts are such a common side-effect from the clomid, it's good to check if you have any cysts before taking the drug and again after a cycle of the drug.
I just took 3 different brands of tests and they were all BFP. Freaking out here. Did I screw something up? I think I am reading the results correctly.
Tomorrow is officially my test-at-home day, but am waiting for a call back from my clinic to see if they will let me come in for a blood test tomorrow b/c of the + today.
I am "working from home" today (hahahahaha "work").

I am triggering tonight and will have my IUI on Saturday morning. I have 3 follicles, so hopefully this will be the month! @JaeJayStark they check to make sure I don't have anything "leftover" from last cycle. No cysts or anything like that. Mine baseline is done somewhere in CD 2-5. Then after that I will start taking my letrozole.
Best of luck to you @baseballhoney!! I have my IUI next Friday too, hopefully its the month of BFP for us all!

@daisy222-2 !!!!! That is awesome news!!!! AAAHHH!!! Did you cry? OMG - FX for your bloodwork and that everything goes well. If you've been trying since Aug 2014 and are getting your first BFP now, in April 2017, that is a BIG F**KING DEAL!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I wouldn't be working at all, I would be crying and doing cartwheels and dancing! And after 3 failed IUIs, surgery, and a cancelled IVF cycle? I bet you've had some tough days! FX FX!
I think all the years of bad news have made me very suspect of good news (regarding this topic). But I did happy cry and then go buy more tests to check. I will feel better after the beta tomorrow (8 AM, should get results by afternoon). I have been having cramps all day though, and just started very lightly spotting, so I feel like that isn't great. So I'm in this weird place of trying to be positive, but not TOO positive. Thanks for your good thoughts though! Hopefully I'm back with good news tomorrow.

Congrats @daisy222-2!!! That's so exciting and I'm crossing my fingers for an awesome beta tmw that gives you the BFP you deserve.
Im back after takings hiatus from message forums because we had to take off last cycle since I've been traveling so much for work. I was feeling good, disconnected from it all and like I was taking a much needed break. Then I was having difficulty planning for next cycle and because of more and more travel that would prevent all my appts so I'm struggling whether to screw the work or stay and try this thing out again.
Thennn, tonight, I get a call from my best friend who tells me, "so I thought you'd be calling me with this news, but I'm pregnant!" Accidentally. Not trying. They're not married. Boom, same age as me and she's pregnant. Now all the depressed thoughts and sadness are back and I want to quit work for a month to try again. I know I'm reacting emotionally but ugh I can't help it.
Are any of you in the position where you travel for work and struggle to plan around appointments? What's your advice? Wait a few more months until I'm not at risk of canceling flights/ trips last minute and wait to try then or say screw work and focus on this as #1 priority? My boss is understanding I just don't know what to ask for.

@manders85-2 - ugh, I'm sorry about your friend. I know exactly how that feels. Just when I'm having a good day and something great happens and makes me feel like I'm fine, like everything is going to be okay, and maybe I won't be so heartbroken all the time anymore, someone calls me and announces a pregnancy. Or worse, I run into someone who has some chubby, fat little baby, and they are obviously so, so in love with their baby, and it just takes my breath away, and I just feel like the smallest, saddest woman alive.
For me, it's a combination of asking my work and my clinic. For example, for the baseline ultrasounds, I'll talk to a nurse about when I can do the cyst check/if I have any give, and then for the IUI and other testing at O-week, I'll tell my boss that I've got some doctor's appointments that week. I keep telling myself I'm only going to have (at most) a few more months of active treatments - one more IUI and then IVF, if we must - so that makes me feel less antsy about work. This isn't forever - it's just difficult to schedule right now, and will be for the next few months.
Thanks for the advice, @funkykey and support! I super appreciate it right now!

Hi ladies, went in today to get a follie check. CD 15.
I have two biggies in the left. 24.5 and 28.5mm. She asked if I was feeling some pressure there since my left ovary is between my bowel and something else and I said yes. I just thought that it was bloating and gas. I asked if they can get too big and she said mine were fine. Much bigger this time than last. So I will trigger late tonight and I have my IUI on Sunday, (Easter!) at 11am.

How long after taking birth control pills did you start your next cycle? I took my last pill Sunday night and am supposed to start my next cycle of Menopur Thursday night. Does that sound right?
August '16-January '17: Clomid + HCG + IUI/TI = BFN
February/March '17: Menopur + HCG + IUI = BFN
April '17: Menopur + HCG + TI (due to too many mature follicles) = BFN
May '17: Took off due to cysts
June' 17: Menopur + HCG + IUI = Cancelled due to 8+ mature follicles
November '17: Clomid + HCG + IUI= BFN
December '17: Menopur + HCG + TI= BFP!!!! Due August 2018

Me: 34 ("unexplained IF"), DH: 40 (he is fine!), Married since 2013, 2 cats
TTC since Aug 2014May 2016: laproscopy, found & removed moderate (stage III) endo (largest growth was on R ovary)
Summer/Fall 2016: 3x IUI w/ clomid & trigger shot, 3x BFN
Jan 2017: 2 months of lupron depot to quiet endo (ugh). Done!
March 2017: IVF #1 (antagonist) Cancelled/converted to IUI #4 on 3/31/17, CP
May 2017: IVF #1, try 2 (Lupron added). ER 5/23 (14 retrieved, 11 mature, 10 fertilized, 3 blasts frozen, 2 PGS normal). FET in late July!

Thank you @kristimh80. Hopefully it goes well for you!

Diagnosis: Me: Unexplained. Him: 1% morphology pre-washed.

Weehoo!
