@Swazzle I agree with you!! DH watched it and I thought it was awful! I only watched bits and pieces of it and I was still able to predict the ending of most episodes.
I'll take this one step further and state that my (very) UO is I HATE Game of Thrones. I just can't get into the story and i'm just not a fan of that type of show in general.
@HollyGolightly09 I have and grew up with terrible allergies/eczema/asthma and that poor child! I cannot imagine going to school every day at that age untreated!

You are, of course, more than entitled to your opinion, but my finite mind is having problems grasping this statement.
@Megane15 I'm with you. My ex watched Game of Thrones and I just didn't get it. I usually just glanced up at it while reading cases for class (was in law school at the time), but from what I saw, there was too much nudity and not enough interesting plot.
I mean king Geoffrey's death scene, Ramsey's death scene, khaleesi rise to power, Jon freaking snow .... just how? Why? Arya becoming a kick ass assassin, Sansa well I could take or leave her, the red wedding, not enough plot?? There's so much plot it's mind blowing, yes a lot of nudity especially in the first seasons but it lessens as the show goes on
Sort of FFTC: I only just watched GOT like 6 months ago or something and it took me a couple episodes to REALLY get into it but then I was completely freakin' hooked. There are so many badass women in this show! I can't wait for the new season to start (which, bonus fact, is on my birthday) and to finally watch along with the rest of the world.
ETA: Speaking of nudity, I feel like there are far more peens in this show than on any other show I've ever watched before lol

kaylaakosua@mrs_tacos In MS and HS I would stay home when it was raining. But I live in SoCal so it only rained once or twice a year. lol My dad would always tell my sister and I to stay home... so we did. I should note we were both really good students, so it wasn't the end of the world.
@LosAngelesMama I'm not from here, but I've lived in So Cal for the last seven years, and I honestly can't say I really blame your dad! I stay home when possible when it rains because no one knows how to drive in the rain here, and it gets dangerous quickly! Plus, at least in our city, the infrastructure isn't built to deal with rain, and you never know where it's going to flash flood and you could get stuck wherever you are.
@mrstacos@Swazzle SO GLAD TO KNOW I'M NOT ALONE!! One of my students is obsessed with Drake and I just don't get it.
My UO is that I really don't like when people bandwagon onto others' holidays--like St. Patrick's Day--for the sole purpose of getting drunk. By all means, celebrate the holiday if it's relevant to you, or if you want to celebrate with friends who care about it. But if not, find another reason to get drunk--or no reason. It's ok to just have a good time and get drunk if you want to.
I love ranch. Ranch on pizza, ranch on garlic bread, ranch on my burger, ranch on er'rything. Except chicken tenders. When it comes to chicken tenders, there's no better dipping sauce than honey mustard.
I hate raw tomatoes. I gag if I even get the taste of them on a sandwich that accidentally had them put on top. I do, however, love things like pasta and pizza sauce. Just don't ask me to eat them raw. Blech.
@ColoradoHiker I'm exactly the same. I have no problem with tomato products, just tomatoes themselves. Every few years I try to make myself like them, but I just can't. They're disgusting.

Im an equal opportunity dipper. My husband and I are the type of people to make or use 4 or 5 sauces for chicken tenders sweet, savoury, spicy, I give them all a whirl!

I love ranch too.. and actually completely agree with the honey mustard for chicken tenders. Yummm! My saddest aversion this pregnancy has been ranch. I used to eat ranch on so much food!! Especially pizza. But once the nausea hit- just the sight literally makes me gag. Every. Time. I need this nausea to be gone for good. Hopefully my ability to tolerate and love ranch again will return!
Mmmmm ranch. But only hidden valley or some at a restaurant. I tried lite ranch and some other brands, totally not the same. DH hates all condiments. He eats dry sandwiches, burgers and hot dogs, and doesn't dip anything. Mayo and mustard gross him out, so does ranch. He swore DS would never dip all things in ketchup. Hahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaa! Yeah that didn't last.

I totally get weather and safety. I'm in southern Ontario and get it all but if the area isn't use to it, it can be super dangerous.
Also, I've never seen GOT, TWD, Westworld etc. They lack appeal to me, though a lot of the men on the shows are
This may be more of a FFC, but I thought Hiddleswift was actually pretty darn cute together. They would've made tall pretty babies. Oh well.

@lap018 you are correct there is a ton of plot on the show I just don't enjoy any of it. I'm not a hugefan of alternate universe stories. Except Harry Potter but I'm not sure that counts because I still hope that's real....

They looked cute together, but I can't shake the feeling that TSwift is a conniving, calculating manipulator. Something about her has always bothered me- I think it started with the fake, "Oh, what, little old me won an award?!" act that she tried to pull for way too long. Also her "squad goals" schtick is lauded as empowering, but it all seems very mean girls and exclusive to me. And then Hiddleston seems so ernest and forthright. I think dude got played for publicity.
@mrsmarygs your cousins thesis baffles me. Vaginal birth has risks, but they are few and usually not life threatening. Even pregnancy has big risks. There is an increased risk of hemorrhage with c-section due to the uterus not contracting efficiently after removal of the placenta. Also increased risk of infection internally as well as at the incision site. Lots of other things depending on your incision location, type of incision. My least favorite part about my csection is that it increases your risk for placenta previa and placenta accretia. Oh and the whole cutting through my abdominal muscles part.
Eta: I'm personally very grateful for the invention of the cesarean section, as it can be a real life saver. I'd just rather not have any more if I can help it.

So much yes. Just needed to add, Khal Drogo...
Can I just say I HATE the way he went out? He's such a mans MAN and he goes out an invalid because of a deal his wife made with a witch. I mean REALLY?? He'd be the most badass first man to khaleesi, though I guess something had to happen to get her to go out on her own

@bridge-and-wall I LOATHE mustard! I can't have it near me.. the smell alone makes me gag. @coloradohiker Same here with the tomatoes! Bring on the salsa, spaghetti sauce, ketchup... but no raw tomatoes. I lurve ranch! Totally agree with @mrs_tacos about T-Swift. I've always seen through her good girl, always the victim act.
