Why do I have a feeling that a bump war is about to break out between S17 and O17?
I mean, are we supposed to do background checks on everyone who posts on the board? I feel like we have several that are on the fence of September/November who for whatever reason decided to join us (or maybe go back and forth between the boards, heck if I know/care). We're pretty on the ball about calling out people who rub us all the wrong way, so I mean...innocent until proven guilty and all that?
I'm just so, so, so confused.

@carries2018 I think the TW thread and Weekly randoms thread in S17 mention a person named SayaSa, and that she used to be part of the S17 board, but left and called them racist and mean etc, then came to our board. They are mad that we have opened our door to her. Honestly I don't know who they are talking about, and don't remember seeing anyone talk about changing boards due to racism. I feel like I would have looked in to that if I read that somewhere. I miss a lot of threads, and we used to have a million threads for the same thing up, which may be the reason I missed it, but I don't know.

That is me ladies. Stop wondering. As ive said in the intro part established members were really rude and straight up mean racists towards me. Private messages and all.

And honestly i LOVE this group, love how you are not judgy and VERY supportive with each others (as ive said in intro ive lurked a little before joining your group) but i am def not interested in starting nor being the cause of a war between groups so if you feel like i should just leave to avoid drama, id completely understand (though i would hate S17 even more because of the unfairness)

Whoa, did someone actually say this to you? If so, that is seriously messed up.
@yasandson we are our own BMB, and I think most of us would agree that we couldn't care less about what others outside of our group think. You've been great here, and that's what matters.
Also, I recommend you alert the Bump gods about that pm. That's disgusting and will at least get that user a warning, if not banned.

Hi! S17 person here- Sorry to just jump in- its rude of me. Im calling MUD on this- nothing even remotely racist was said to you in the group so as far as that PM goes, Imma need to see some receipts on this because I am not buying what you are selling.
Hello October 17 ladies! I am a reg on September 17 and we are not mad or annoyed at you at all, more like us being called racist is a big deal to us and it seemed like you were just taking it at face value, although reading through here now it seems more like you didn't really notice until we brought up the situation in our BMB. And we do not want to be perceived as racist at all! I jokingly made a comment asking @yasandson if she was a real life human or a sex robot because we had a thread open about sex and how pregnancy can change it etc etc and she told us how often her and her DH were doing the deed, good for her, just I couldn't fathom it because well if my DH mounted me that often I wouldn't be able to walk on a daily basis, and because she also revealed her DH works 18 hours a day. Logistically speaking how does one have only 6 hours in their day not working to fit sleep/eating/having sex twice every single day and work that much? Not my business honestly, I even said that in my post and told her that she didn't even need to respond. That's why I asked if she was a robot Obviously a joke and if wasn't conveyed that way then I apologize to you @yasandson No one that I know of EVER said to her that she shouldn't be having sex often because of a hijab? Unless it was in a PM and if that was the case then she is right and that's absolutely unacceptable. But we are absolutely not racists nor were we ever mean or condescending or rude. She also got on our names thread and asked about names because her husband didn't want their son to have an overtly Arabic sounding name because of the repercussions he may face with racism where we all supported her and told her to name her son whatever she wanted and that we were sorry she was having to even think about this issue and that it's a messed up world we live in. So if that sounds like we are terrible people than maybe we are but there will be no bump war between us, just a simple explanation to be had. Also from S17. I second that it might be MUD. We were all very supportive of you @yasandson whilst your DH worried that your baby name ideas sounded too Muslim/Arabic. If someone sent you THAT in a message, how does that equate to a whole group of people? And I am sure we would have came to your defense if anyone was racist toward you and we were aware. Even if someone was racist, and you felt uncomfortable in our group because of that 1 person, you should have reported that individual and if you felt the need to leave the board, fine. BUT there was absolutely no need to group ALL of us with 1 person's horrible actions and post it all over the place. I am sorry if you felt unwelcome, but that is not the fault of ALL of us, and there was no need to post nasty things about us.

Exactly where do I say that THE WHOLE GROUP was racist? I specifically said" if the hat fits". The racism had nooothing to do with the name thread since women that responded on there were nothing but supportive. I dont think any of you should speak for the whole group as you havent witnessed EVERY interaction there has been on The bump (or in PM). I didnt say nasty things about any of you. Didnt call ANYBODY out not even SN so if you werent rude nor condescending or racist towards me why in the world are you here raging and causing even more drama. The drama i witnessed i kept it to myself, did not cause a scene i just explained why I left(so that the persons who did pm me read it) and left, and kindly asked another group if it was ok for me to join explaining the reason why i was joining so late.

It's the Internet, I rarely take things at face value. I saw nothing in @yasandson's post history to set off any red flags so I was using a "wait and see" approach and nothing has set off any flags thus far. I chalked it up to her having a misunderstanding with someone.

@lap018 I think it's fairly obvious that English is not her first language. Did anyone even think about asking her what happened before assuming? It was very likely a misunderstanding or someone IS lurking among you that is a closet racist. Hard to tell.

DH is at the baseball game for the rest of the night, so I have big plans to stuff myself with the slider I appropriated from him and watch Center Stage. Super random, I know, but I had a sudden urge to relive my middle school years.
DH started working a weird shift from like mid day to early night... it's got me all lazy. Gosh, DH keeps me accountable! I haven't folded my laundry in days.

We are fine with her being here too. I personally wasn't trying to start any drama at all, just to offer an explanation of why your BMB was being brought up in ours and to explain why we were confused about what she was saying. No intentions of starting or creating or even fueling drama, I saw y'all were curious and were noticing our BMB was discussing the O 17 BMB but it wasn't really you guys we just didn't know or understand why she was saying a lot of us were the things that she said we were. I will certainly leave now just wanted y'all to know again that I hope you all have happy healthy wonderful pregnancies!
