  • @cchenal07 how old is your DS? I don't know what to get mine for Easter except a stuffed bunny or a lamb and maybe some other little toys or something, he's 14 months so candy is out. We may have a little egg hunt in the yard with the eggs out in the open so he can find them easy lol
Last year at Easter my DS was 18 months. I was amazed at well he did hunting for eggs. We put stickers, stamps, and goldfish crackers in some eggs. I also found eggs full of small packages of Play-Doh which was fun. We bought him a coloring book and some small Easter themed books for his basket.
  • @Cats*in*space Congrats on your baby girl!
  • Happy Saturday!

DH and I are in Dallas for a wedding this weekend. We left our two kids at my mom's so we could be on kid duty for my best friend who is MOH. It was exhausting, but fun. We're driving back to my Bf's house now with the kids and ordering pizza, because it's easy. lol.

I'd like to sneak in a nap because the tornado sirens malfunctioned across the city last night and woke me up and kept me up for solid hour. Then pregnancy insomnia kept me another hour after the sirens stopped.... I'm pooped, but I don't want to be anti-social since I get to see my BF once a month if we're lucky.

  • @awildrose I didn't sleep well at all either last night. Ugh! I was woken up by sudden terrible heartburn dragon breath! So weird considering I've never had any heartburn problems before. And then just general tossing and turning, can't get comfortable, hips hurting..

@Sugargirl1019 Ugh! I'm sorry you had a rough night, too. I had some heartburn problems in first tri and my OB told me to up my calcium intake- it helped!

Edit to add: I have hip pain so badly normally, but seeing a chiropractor makes a work of difference especially pregnant. Have you tried that?

  • I have been semi productive today. I took my daughter to dance and picked her up. We did some house work and then went for ice cream and then we went for a walk on the trail! It was great! We had a late lunch that DH cooked and did some more house work. I laid the baby down for a nap and have done nothing since. Lol

  • @Sugargirl1019 the hip pain at night is insane!!! I'm nearly in tears every night. I think I stiffen trying to keep myself on my side...maybe I need more pillows....

  • @cmar1006 um that's annoying.... I would be irked that they started without me if they knew I was coming... not cool :(
  • @cmar1006 How annoying! They could have at least called to see if you were on your way before they started. At least DD wasn't upset, though.

  • @jena333-2 do you have a nordstrom rack near you? I bought clearance bras for my first pregnancy, because my boobs and rib cage would not quit. I think they were wacoal or something similar like panache.
  • Ive been refinishing a dresser for baby girls rooma and so desperately wanted to crawl into bed early tonight..... Well DS fell off the couch and it was a trip to the ER!  3 hours later my almost 3YO has a broken clavicle... so try convincing a toddler to wear a sling.  Because like that's easy and all! With any luck no surgery will be needed but we won't know until the pediatric orthopedic sees him on Wednesday.

@awildrose I was seeing a chiropractor in 1st tri for tail bone pain, but that's not my biggest complaint anymore. Idk, I use pillow pets and wedge them against my stomach and knees (kinda like a pregnancy pillow?) But it's when I try to roll over I'm so stiff that it makes me cry! I could do without the heartburn though. Calcium huh? I drink a lot of milk daily and eat cheese but I can look into supplements!

@cats*in*space Congrats on team pink! Your reveal outfit is PRECIOUS!!

@jillibean0871 Oh no!! I'm so sorry! A broken clavicle on a 3 yr old - how terrible! I hope surgery isn't required!

  • @jillibean0871 that's AWFUL!! Poor kids that age just don't understand having those types of restrictions...DS1 was 3 when he got a buckle fracture and was supposed to be in a sling too, so I know the struggle. Fx no surgery!!
  • @jillibean0871 I'm so sorry about your LO.  Hope he heals quickly.

  • @wineren I can't wait for the nights with a bunch of kids in the house entertaining each other :)
  • @jillibean0871 I hope your baby has a very quick recovery with little to no pain! The doc mcstuffins thing is cute!
@winern I love that you guys stayed up talking until 2, it's so great when coparenting works like that!

Can I have a Sunday bitchfest? DH was trying to be helpful and do the dishes but he emptied a dirty half load out of the dishwasher and put it all away... normally I wouldn't be upset because he was trying to be helpful but he got poopy with me and wouldn't even try to remember what he put away and told me just to rewash all our dishes  butthead.

@jillibean0871 it's definitely fun. He had a really good group of friends which make us happy, and happy to have them over.

@wyomama0427 I love how well we all get along. It definitely has not always been like this. Her husband, who she is in the process of divorcing, is an alcoholic and a big part of the reason my stepson lives with us primarily. There have definitely been court battles and angry feelings, but it's so so much better now. It's great. She's even going to come visit after our son is born just so she can meet him sooner. ETA: that would drive me CRAZY. Maybe this means you just need to get new dishes. But yeah, butthead.

  • @jillibean0871 Oh no! Broken clavicals are hard, there just isn't much you can do for them. My nephew broke his when he was about that age, and we were shocked by how well he did with his sling! The Dr said it probably felt better to have it on. Hopefully he will heal pretty quickly and no surgery is needed!

  • @wyomama0427 oh yes, a bitchfest Sunday actually sounds like the best idea I've heard all morning. But oh man.. that sucks!! My DH has also done that before, haha I feel like I need to always check before he starts emptying the dishwasher! My dad has done it too, I'm not sure why guys have so much trouble figuring out whether the dishes are clean or dirty!
I'm gonna toss in my bitchfest too... I felt great the past couple days! No nausea, tired but overall.. pretty much normal. We even went out to dinner last night! Then this morning.. running to the bathroom because I'm sick again  :/ sadly, I'm so used to throwing up, that's not the biggest issue..  I'm just so tired of this morning sickness crap!! I'm worried about going anywhere because I don't know when I'll get sick, plus I'm 10x more exhausted with the throwing up. Come on, 16 weeks.

  • @beccam1230 ugh yuck! I'm 18 weeks and the heartburn and indigestion cause nausea all the time... it sucks!!!! I'm sorry you're sick again  the promise of the second tri relief has failed us :(:(
  • @wyomama0427 it really has failed us!! I really hope it all stops soon for both of us, and we can feel human again! I actually don't remember when I started to feel decent again with DS, I remember it was much later, but then I was so much more sick.
My cousin told me that her morning sickness all went away at 14 weeks... ugh.

  • @beccam1230 @HollyGolightly09 the saddest part is that with DS I actually did get the second tri relief  this time I am not so lucky.
  • @labby18 I think the word frans is adorable
  • This morning it rained, and then the sun came out, and then it hailed and rained more, and now it's snowing. Wtf Wyoming?

Our weekend...not boring here. We had a huge tree fall in our yard taking out power and cable lines with it. DS got his picture taken with the fire truck lol (only plus). My DH is so upset because he spent 2 weekends mulching our huge yard and it fell into a big mulched area and ruined all of our landscaping. It missed our deck by inches. The electricians are still here...we're praying our home owner's insurance covers part of this.
  • @jessieR358 holy crap! That's crazy! I am so glad it missed your deck and your house too! Whoa. Hope your insurance covers it! Also when I read it for some reason I read it as your DH got his picture with the fire truck and that made me giggle!
