Ooh, another UO: I hate group texts. They are nice in theory, but when you get 32 texts you don't really care about while you're in a meeting, it's annoying. My brother was texting my whole family (including DH before we were married) about potty training my nephew. 40 some odd texts from him, his wife, and my mom in the span of 15 minutes. Super annoying.
I love mint chocolate things. I also love real maple syrup best, but light Caro syrup is also delicious. I have a cat, a dog, and a horse so I probably can't pick sides. I am not a Nicholas Cage, Jim Carey or Will Ferrell (except in Elf) fan. Cheesecake is the best! ummmm. I think that was all haha
my UO: cowboy boots do not go with everything. I live in TX and it's getting warmer and they are everywhere.

@labby18 but define "throwing a fit" for us. If that's raising awareness so others will also write to the appropriate people then they're doing what they should. I'm a Canadian liberal feminist atheist so I find almost everything trump does to be offensive. It hurts my heart that so many people voted for him and it makes me happy whenever I see a protest or news article or whatever angering people and motivating them to take action.
I think she was talking about the looting and rioting part. I as a conservative do not mind protests, boycotts, raising awareness and so on, as long as it is inside the realm of the law.
I am not condoning breaking the law whatsoever. However, I understand the frustration of not being heard, listened to, given a voice, represented fairly, etc. When people don't feel valued or like their voice matters, the result is "throwing a fit" because the general you will finally start to listen. It opens dialogue that was previously being dismissed for whatever reason.

UO: we're not animal people. I like other people's dogs and cats but I don't see us ever having pets. DH is super allergic (even to the hypoallergenic ones!) and our lifestyle doesn't fit it.

I've become way less enchanted with indoor pets since becoming a mom. We have a fantastic mini poodle we love, but when she passes, I doubt we'll replace her. Now, chickens, goats, barn cats? Bring it on!

@labby18 that's one of DH's favorite movies. He's tried to get me to watch it twice but we both kept falling asleep. I thought the claymation(sp?) was pretty cool.

We are the same. I love all these Tim Burton movies and some.. I like the quirkiness of them. One of my greatest mom moments last year was DD becoming obsessed with Jack and Sally. She says it's her favorite movie.
My kitties! They're both rescues, the orange one (Cheese) we found on street right after a big snow storm, and he was injured. But fine now! My little grey kitty was a kitten that someone brought into the vet, she had been stuck in a fence. She was feral, and still is a bit. But she loves me! I love my kitties! I love my dog too, but he's a giant bitch who pretty much wants nothing from me except my food
Whew, 4 pages. Okay, here we go: Give me all the mint chocolate things. Thin mints and York Patties 4 lyfe. I've never had Karo syrup on pancakes. It sounds intriguing, but ultimately.. I'd rather have maple syrup. And I love real maple syrup, but I hate how my waffles just immediately soak it all up. I like that the fake stuff hangs out on top long enough for me to enjoy it. I have 3 cats, had dogs as a kid. Cats are so much easier to care for, and mine are super affectionate. Nic Cage, Jim Carey and Will Ferrel are all meh to me. Cheesecake Factory 4 lyfe as well. DH and I always share one slice, and usually have leftovers anyway. Politics.. let's just say I don't like Trump. And I think I vaguely remember him saying at some point that Ivanka had changed his views on child care, etc. But if so, how does that explain the fact that his healthcare bill wanted to ditch prenatal, maternity and newborn care coverage that we have now? I'm very thankful that we are done having kids after this, and whatever changes he might actually make in that regard won't have an effect on me in the future.

I'm 100% with you. I live in boot country, but I won't buy boots. I feel like they have a purpose (farm work) and are silly to just wear around as a fashion accessory. Real cowboys/farmers,etc have earned the right to wear them to the bar if they do please.
What's worse is a cowboy themed wedding (cowboy boots, sunflowers, sundresses, burlap and lace, all outdoors at a barn), when they are city people.
I enjoy cowboy boots for certain reasons. Mostly because they sound better than sandals do when line dancing on a wooden floor. I've also worn them for fashion to some football games (Go Gators!) My in-laws have horses that I've rode and tended to occasionally.. Does that count?
@mrsmarygs this is exactly the reason I told my mom there was no way I was wearing cowboy boots under my wedding dress. It would have been funny actually because I have a long history of wearing riding clothes an so boots under formal wear for various stupid reasons. But it felt way too over done!

I have to say, I also love dogs, and I don't think I can pick dogs over cats. This is my puppy, Oscar. He is the silliest, most cuddly, lovable floof who has ever walked on four paws. He loves everyone, animal or human, and doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body. I am absolutely infatuated with him. Also, he snuggles with my bump, and has become my constant shadow.

Not creepy at all! And thank you! That picture was right after DH put it in and painted and all. That's what the picture was for, to send to my MIL so she could see, but my cat decided to unroll the entire tp roll at that time. Now we don't even put it on the roll. You should have seen the before pic, our vanity was an old mildewy dresser someone converted. We bought a fixer-upper!

No!! He doesn't unroll, fortunately. When he was younger he would steal TP or paper towels and shred them with his claws. It has really been a long time since he has done it. His usual naughty behavior is to steal socks (usually DH's, or my long warm winter ones) and carry them around to have his way with them. Loudly. Sometimes at 2am.
UO: I am not reconsidering not breast feeding. Happened with my first... was called selfish... but I get migraines and if I breast feed I cannot take anything and I cannot care for my baby (and my will be 2.5year old).
I do love Mommas that breast feed and I also love Mommas that Formula Feed. But girrrrrrllllssss I don't like Mommas that judge.
