Welcome to April!
This thread is for updating everyone on the day you change to a new week. For example, If your ticker changes on Tuesday, you can answer the bold questions on Tuesday. (If you forget, just post of whatever day you remember.) Everyone, feel free to comment and make conversation with those not in your daily ticker change!
How far along are you?
How big is your baby (babies)?
Any upcoming appointments this week?
Any new symptoms or changes or cravings?
Rants/Raves/Questions?
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have?
Re: Weekly Ticker Change - 4/3
I'm super excited to find out the baby's gender! I can't wait til I actually have a date set in stone.
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have?
At least 3 but no more than 5. Four might be good, I guess we'll just see when we get there.
FI and I decided to do a 3D for gender and are doing it one week. SO excited
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have?
Like 6, with 3 step children we will be at 5 and stop. I am the youngest of 9.

GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have? This is a good question, and I don't know the answer yet. When we were younger DH and I always talked about three or four kids, but as we've become more established, and struggled to conceive for so long, we can't imagine having that many anymore. This may be our only child, or we may have one more. I'm in no rush to decide, though. It's a decision that I feel we'll just know the answer to when the time comes.

Avocado or an action figure....
Just had blood draw for spina bifida, nothing other than that for 2 more weeks!
i didn't throw up this morning (good times), but I'm having Altria left sleeping and my bathroom breaks are ramping up!
Ugh just family sucks... the newest accusation from SIL and BIL is that we got pregnant when they were to spite them. people just think they are much more important then they truly are. Must be having a hard time understanding I ovulated earlier then normal this cycle and we were planning on waiting a little longer but we were given our little miracle a few months ahead of our plan.
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have?
Ummmm nope unless anyone has any literature that'll make me feel better about Zika testing
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have?
i want 4, my husband wants 2 so we are aiming for 3.
Why isn't it summer vacation yet?
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have?
My husband says if we could afford it, we would have 5. I wouldn't mind 3.

GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have? Shoot I would be duggar style if I could afford it lol maybe not 19 but I'd totally do 10!
Just hoping these next two weeks go by fast. The A/S will be the first time my husband sees the baby!
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have?
I always wanted 2, but I also would love to have a girl. Now that the first is a sweet little boy, we'll see what happens next! Either way, I think 3 would be our max.
verge of getting sick but not actually getting sick for almost a month now. Also it's still early but I'm already so winded at the smallest things ugh
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have? 2 or 3. At least 2 but not more than 3. Would be happy with either, I guess we will see what happens!

This lower back pain though! I've been trying to stretch to ease it and I need to get to yoga as soon as there's time for it.

Undecided! DH and I were always unsure about children and we've agreed to see how things go with this one before we make decisions about future babies.

A video game controller
In about 2 hours for our monthly check. We got to see him briefly last time because the Doppler didn't pick up the heartbeat and I kind of hope that happens again... But we do have an A/S on 04/25 so I don't have to wait too long...And I really do want to hear the heart beat
Not really. I can feel him moving, but not a ton yet. My bump/belly is starting to throw off my center of gravity.
Any suggestions on belly bands, especially ones that work well or you think would work well with plus size?
And, any options on bringing an older child to the A/S? My step son will be 13 and I think it would mean a lot to him to see his new brother. There are no elective ultrasounds locations within 100 miles of us or I would go that option. I know the doctor office allows it and the room is definitely big enough to have an extra human (or five). But it's also a medical appointment so I worry. All our tests have come back great so far.
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have?
I always wanted two or three. This is my first biological kiddo, but we will have two, and my stepson lives with us. But, I still want one more. DH says he's done. I want our new son to have a sibling close in age. We'll see. I'll be happy no matter what. But ideally, one more.
@Swazzle Can you pass on that skin clearing luck? I was just touching like 3 large bumps on my jawline and whining in my head about them! I know I should keep my hands off.
@wineren I would definitely ask your stepson what he would like to do. As a younger child, I was even uncomfortable seeing pregnant ladies exposed bellies. I can't imagine what your stepson would feel seeing "step mom's belly (ew)"! Haha. But he may be totally sweet and want to see the baby. I wonder if there's a place for him to wait, and then can bring him in when everything is set up? Is there a chair outside the room he can park in and play games until it's time?

I have to give a presentation in.... 2 hours..... and I'm absolutely dreading it. I'm struggling memorizing the words (can I blame pregnancy brain??) so I'm bringing my notes up. Oh well.
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have?
Originally were thinking 2. I think it'll all depend on how pregnancy goes and how we enjoy being parents. I could see it going either way- 1 and done or up to 3. haha!

Anyone have any sleeping solutions or ways to help with these headaches?
The weather here is springy...not that it is sure to last (april and may snow is totally likely) but it is so nice to have warmer weather and hear birds singing.
What did you decide to buy for the baby/nursery/yourself etc rather than putting it on the registry?

@wineren I think at 13 I would be comfortable with a sibling being in the room. I wouldn't bring younger children, but if he really wants to go (which is super sweet by the way), I'd say 13 is old enough.
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have? Not sure what "ideal" means in this context, but 2 has always been our plan. I guess if I had unlimited money and time (I'm 35), maaaaybe 3?
ETA: At the boutique u/s we should get photos AND a DVD of the whole thing. So excited.
Update from appt today:
Was nervous leading up to this appt for some reason. I was weighed when I arrived and i haven't gained anything since BFP, which made me super nervous. Then after a forever wait, Dr. arrived to do sonogram, but she had trouble finding baby. Poor DH was terrified in the background. After ~1.5 minutes she moved it up and to right and found heartbeat. It was in the 140s.

GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have? We both want two.... but we are staying open to the idea of a third. If, for example, we have two and I just don't feel "done" or we were to have two girls and he wanted to try one more time for a boy. So, I guess ideally two, with an option for a third, lol.
@winern I took my 9 year old nephew to my 13 week ultrasound. It was an elective one, but he was wanting to see the baby move SO badly. I let him stand in the hallway with my mom for a couple of minutes, just to make sure everything was okay, and then they came in. I don't see why it would be a problem for a 13 year old to be there for the A/S.... he wouldn't have to go in when you see the Dr, he could just go for the ultrasound. Maybe you could ask before hand, if the see any problems would they please ask that he step outside for just a minute?
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have? We've joked about having 6 so we could do a family MTG draft. But 4 would be my ideal. However, since it looks like 24/7 morning sickness the whole pregnancy is going to be normal, and with DH turning 42 this year, me turning 35, it could be two and done. We are both open to adopting though so there is that.
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have?
I keep joking that I'm done after this one. Being pregnant is a lot harder than I anticipated. But I'm sure in a couple of years, I will forget all about that and want a second baby. I think 2 would be perfect for us.
16 Weeks
Rant: My Dr. said we can do A/S as early as 18 weeks, well the scheduler refused to schedule it before 20 weeks! UGH! I know it's only 2 weeks, but I NEED TO KNOW NOW!
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have?
I would LOVE 2 but DH is one and done. We decided to see how this one goes and then go from there.
Like previous posters have said, I was initially told we would have our anatomy scan between 18-20 weeks. Apparently the radiology office that is affiliated with my doctor prefers to do it between 20-22 weeks. So it's not a huge difference, but I am so looking forward to finding out more about my unknown passenger.
DH is also gone on work travel for the next couple days, and I am so tired in anticipation of wrangling by 2.5 year old by myself. He'll be leaving in July for at least one week as well. Times like these it would be great to have family closer than 6 hours away.
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have?
If I chose to be a SAHM, probably three. But, I enjoy teaching and I'm not sure I could commit to staying at home for an extended period of time.
I felt my baby move 3 days ago it was weird but inviting
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have? Only two
Rant: I'm pretty sure that my mom is disappointed that Freddie is a boy. Her response when I told her was "Oh, that's a big surprise." It was pretty hurtful. I know she thought he was a girl, but I did too and I'm still super excited for a healthy baby boy. They make so much cute stuff for boys these days.
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have? I always wanted 4. DH says that he likes the idea of 5 (He wants a prime number, so can't be 4). At this point the plan is 2. I'm not getting any younger and it took us a while to make this one. But, I might consider a third if the timing and finances work out.

Baby number 2 due 4/11/20
1. 19 weeks. (That feels so far along to say. Goodness)
2. Baby is the size of a mango according to all three apps I have on my phone. Lol.
3. I have my big A/S appointment on Monday. I'm a little bummed it's most likely the last time I'll see my baby boy until the fall!
4. Nothing new. Although, when I have a craving, it hits HARD. But can be gone just as fast. It's weird.
5. Rave: We just had our local JBF sale and we did so well getting a couple big pieces for way cheap. I've been pumped about that. It motivated me to start really working on the nursery (refinishing some furniture that is being passed down from the big sisters).
6. GTKY: Dh and I have always wanted four kids. It was super tempting to stop after #2 because the rhythm just got nice and easy for a while. But we knew our family wasn't complete. Initially, we had planned to foster-to-adopt a sibling set for #3&4 but as we were getting paperwork in place we found out about this baby coming. So, we'll approach fostering again in about a year and see what happens... we may end up with more than 4!
edit. Omg gosh. I have been a week off on my pregnancy count! Hello, pregnancy brain!

RLP and skin breakouts this week. I've actually craved healthier stuff this week, like a spinach salad from Trader Joe's and fresh mango.
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have? We'd love 2, preferably one of each, like both of our families. DH talks about more, but I wanna get to one and see if I think I can handle being outnumbered.
ETA another rave! Good friend is being induced tomorrow night! Can't wait to meet her little guy! She's delivering at the same hospital I will, so if we get to visit there I'm going to take it all in, since you can only gain so much from the tours.

GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have?
We go back and forth... sometimes three sometimes four. DH likes to joke about crazy numbers like nine or twelve. I told him anything past five, he's gonna carry and push out of HIS vagina. Since we will be having another c section we probably will only have one or two more after this one.
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have? Ideally, it's two, and that's the game plan. On my less enthusiastic parenting days, I wish we didn't have any at all, haha. Thankfully, those days are few and far between.

We also have a frozen embryo that we were planning on transferring before getting our suprise BFP. We will still hopefully be transferring that snowflake at some point depending on how this pregnancy goes.
2 weeks until halfway!!!! Is this real life?!
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have?
3 or 4. But I would be good with 2 haha it's taken 4 years to get this one so I don't know that 3 or 4 is in the plan for us! Whatever God blesses us with, we'll be grateful
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many children would you like to have? hm, tough question. I've never really thought about an ideal world....just the world as it is. We'll try for 2-3 in real life, but in an ideal world, I might want 4-5. (That first typed as 45...uhm, no, please... haha).
