  • 1. How far along are you?
    7.4 weeks
    2. How many kids do you have?
    I have 3 boys - 4.5, 2.5 and 13 months
    3. How are you feeling?
Finally starting to get nausea, as of the last couple days. Lots of exhaustion.
    4. How is this pregnancy different from/the same as your other(s)?
It has been much easier so far, to the point where I was nervous.  I'm happy to have some nausea and exhaustion this week, as it has hit at the beginning of week 5 with my other kids.
    5. GTKY: Have you told your other kid(s) yet, and if not, when & how will you tell them?
We will tell them right before we tell our parents and siblings.  We won't do anything fancy

  • @ugoglencoco that's so cute about your son wanting a sister and wanting to name her!  <3

My SOs family has a tradition we're the oldest gets to name the second child (they all only have 2 kids) so we planned on letting DD1 pick DD2s name. She kept picking Charolette (sp?) which is a decent name but not something I'd personally pick. I had to say no and man was that hard. She was excited about it but nope I just couldn't.
  • Kind of random but I figured I'd post it here for the bigger families.  ;) What type of vehicle do you have for the entire family? SUV, minivan, type, etc. Right now we only have one car which will not really be big enough for 2 car seats and a booster in back so we want to invest in something bigger as well. I'm leaning towards a SUV with third row seating but haven't seen much used for sale.
  • @baby3forme We have a Sienna minivan and LOVE it. The power doors are my favorite because I can open them for the kids and let them climb into their own seats. I still have to buckle my son, but my daughter does it all by herself (with a quick check from me). Once we have 3, I'm going to take out a captain's chair so I can kneel in that spot to help/check both the older ones with the buckles in the back row. With the 3-row SUVs we looked at, it would be hard to buckle the kid all the way in the back. I'm a crazy car seat person though - so I'm always going to check the buckles, even when the kids do them themselves.

  • @baby3forme I have already posted this on another thread, so please forgive me if you've already read about it. I just recently bought a new Ford Transit and I love it! They come in different sizes (10, 12, 15 seats) we bought a 12 Passenger one. It's big enough for all 5 of our kids (plus our soon to be 6th), my husband and I, our two dogs, and all the stuff we use on a vacation. We are very outdoorsy, so we camp and hike a lot and this made it very easy to get around with all of our gear and room for our kids friends, if we have a few tagging along.

If you're not looking for something that big and crazy, I'd recommend the Honda Pilot! I had one when we only had 4 kids and it was wonderful!!! Plenty of space, usable trunk even when the third row was up. I bought a Toyota Highlander when we went to 5 kids and I loved it, but it was not big enough for us.
  • @cmessamore @kissthesky32 thanks!! Now I have a lot to start with!
  • @baby3forme Ummm...I would not like that tradition! I think it's sweet to let the older kids come up with ideas, but letting them completely name the baby? I had a ton of weird baby name ideas when I was a kid and I'm very glad no one let me name a baby. If and when they push a baby out of their own body, THEN they can name it. :P

@LadyBugMe101 Wow, a 4 month old! That must be super tough. I hope your pregnancy gets easier!

  • 1. How far along are you?
    Between 7-8 weeks

    2. How many kids do you have?
I have 2 kids. DD is 2.5, and DS will be one on Monday!

    3. How are you feeling?
Overall, I'm feeling okay. I'm tired but not having much MS yet. Definitely irritable and hormonal, though, and starving a lot of the time!

    4. How is this pregnancy different from/the same as your other(s)?
I was really sick with DD, not so much with DS. I also think I was more exhausted last pregnancy. I'm noticing more RLP and back pains are more severe.

    5. GTKY: Have you told your other kid(s) yet, and if not, when & how will you tell them?
I have, because my 1yo is clueless, and my 2.5yo doesn't seem to understand much either. The other day I was talking about a baby in mommy's belly and she tried to shove a baby doll down my shirt. So clearly she doesn't understand.  :)

    1. How far along are you?
Not sure as I didn't get aunt flow between 2 and 3. We think 5w5d give or take a few

    2 I have 2 girls

    3. I feel ok other than fatigue and some tugging/stretching my my lower abdomen.
    4. I am not sick which is weird. I was super sick with both my other two.

    5. We have not told my girls. My oldest is 5.5 yrs and she can't keep a secret. First appointment isn't until  5/9 so waiting until then since I don't have a definite due date
  • @baby3forme we bought a Honda Odyssey last summer when I finally got so sick of trying to wrangle my girls into their rear facing carseats in the tiny crack of the barely open door every time we parked in a parking lot.  We looooove it and wish we would have bought one sooner!

Although a funny thing .... the fact that we could do 3 seats across in the middle row was a major selling point for us over the Sienna... assuming we'd have a third while the older two were still in carseats.  Now we're going to have to put the "big" two in the back row anyway!

Also, my second DD's name is Charlotte.   :D

  • 1. How far along are you?
    -8 weeks 4 days

    2. How many kids do you have?
    - one, she is 19 months

    3. How are you feeling?
    - ready to be out of first trimester. I am nauseas and tired but not vomiting anymore so I am happy with that. I feel so easily annoyed/emotionally exhausted these past few days. Poor H I feel like I have been a terrible wife this week.

    4. How is this pregnancy different from/the same as your other(s)?
    - I didn't vomit last pregnancy. I also don't think I was so tired, but like others said it might be bc I could sleep whenever I wanted last time!

    5. GTKY: Have you told your other kid(s) yet, and if not, when & how will you tell them?
    - she would not understand yet.
  • 1. How far along are you?
Somewhere in the 8-10week range I think. I haven't had a ultrasound yet.

    2. How many kids do you have?
    3. DS is 6. DD1 is 3. DD2 is 11months

    3. How are you feeling?
the last 4weeks have been rough! It's been a bit better the last few days. I haven't puked since Thursday(yay!) I am still so very exhausted though. And I pee so much!

    4. How is this pregnancy different from/the same as your other(s)?
It feels very similar to the other ones. I'm more tired this time. Could be because I have an almost 1yr old who doesn't believe in sleeping.

    5. GTKY: Have you told your other kid(s) yet, and if not, when & how will you tell them?
Yes, we told them a few weeks ago, since I've been so sick and out of it. They haven't said a word to anyone about it yet! I'm shocked they've been so good a keeping a secret.

  • 1. How far along are you? 8 weeks tomorrow!

    2. How many kids do you have? Twin boys

    3. How are you feeling? Meh I forgot all the feels, physical and emotional that go along with this. Thought it would be easier this time

    4. How is this pregnancy different from/the same as your other(s)? Somewhat similar I feel nauseous but it's just raging hunger and fatigue hits me like a shovel!

    5. GTKY: Have you told your other kid(s) yet, and if not, when & how will you tell them? Yep, their best buddy is expecting a younger brother next month so they see his mom and hear him talk about baby. They pat my tummy and say baby but of course have no real idea what it means.

  • @baby3forme @cmessamore we love our Honda pilot!!
  • 1. How far along are you? 8 weeks, 2 days

    2. How many kids do you have? 1 who will be three in may and is exemplifying the term threenager already :)

    3. How are you feeling? Ok, nervous still since I have had spotting off and on. Nauseous

    4. How is this pregnancy different from/the same as your other(s)? I'm less sick than I was with DS but I didn't really get super sick with him until closer to 9 weeks. I'm also a lot less tired (probably because I weight 160 pounds less!).

    5. GTKY: Have you told your other kid(s) yet, and if not, when & how will you tell them? I didn't tell him but he must have overheard. Once we realized he knew we told him. He seems ok with it but I do worry because he possibly has autism and does not like babies, other kids, noise etc.
