My report is in and of course I was a lil confused ha!! The 7 are still growing but it seems 5 are really growing strong...praying they can make it to blasts!! Have 4 at 8AB, an 8A, 5BC and 4BC but its a 1PN. Our eggs I believe are suppose to be a 2PN...so not to confident on that one. We'll get another report on Friday. I'm trying to stay positive but its tough!! Its hard to except every egg isn't great and doesn't fertilize! Who knows but its just added stress we dont need!
How is everyone doing?

@Hopeful_mom I don't know how the numbering system works at your clinic but 7 fertilized with 5 strong ones seems great! I had 10 retrieved, 8 fertilized, 6 made it to day 5/6 to be tested. Of the 6 tested, 3 were normal. My advice is just take it one day at a time. Each day they are growing is a successful day. I know it's hard not to worry and stress. Just know that you've done all that you can for this cycle. I'm praying for great results.

@mandasand funny you should ask when I spoke with my doctor before ER it sounded as if we were going to do an FET next. However seeing where my numbers r at now I do believe that I will still bank another cycle and then take it from there. Since I am getting older and the egg quality declines more rapidly with age, even though I don't want to wait it's probably in my best interest to do another cycle.

AFM- I have my lining check tomorrow to make sure everything is a go and we will be doing ICSI on our donor eggs Sunday! It's crazy after 3 cancelled cycles I may actually get an embryo transfer.
@taylormichel- so so exciting!! Fx for a great lining and great fertilization on the eggs! How many did you get again? Please keep us posted!!

@Hopeful_mom We have 12! It's sort of a unique situation, the donor did a harvest as known donor for another couple but due to their financial restraints the clinic made a deal that her couple would have half the mature eggs retrieved and the clinic would keep the other half. Our eggs are the other half! Her couple also got pregnant with twins, so we're hopeful!
@taylormichel- that is a great story! Any opportunity for you to meet the donor too or the other family with the twins? Or are you planning anonymous?

@TaylorMichel it's so exciting! I'm still looking for my donor but I'm not rushing it! We will probably have to do frozen because the agency that recruits military dependents is not able to find us anyone right now. But maybe a blessing will happen and she'll come along!!

@JamieH2000 we would have loved to meet them but the donor gave the other eggs and wanted to remain anonymous. My doctor said the donor looks a lot like me which is crazy. I would have loved to meet her to say thanks and see if we do look as similar as my doctor thinks. Lol. @Hopeful_mom I know, this whole thing has been an answered prayer! When they told me 12 was half I was stunned. My clinic does a lot of 3 day transfers and so we going with what they do best and will transfer on day 3. We will transfer 2, hopefully with a few good enough for us to freeze too.
I had my appointment this morning and my doctor said everything "looks perfect" we are set for hubby to do his thing this Sunday! We are SO excited. Honestly with all the cancellations I kind of had in the back of my mind that I wouldn't respond this time either so it's a good day! How is everyone else doing?
@TaylorMichel thats really amazing!! Sounds like dreams do come true Hoping everything goes smooth this weekend! I'm wondering if I'm going to do a fresh transfer this next cycle I'm having very torn feelings on everything and so far I only have 2 frosties that are ready for testing. AND am I thankful for the possible 2 absolutely but just feel like the odds are stacked against me today.
HI Ladies!! Got my report.
I want to say I'm happy but I think right now I'm just relieved that I have something. So far I have a 5AA and 5AB that have made it to freeze. One was through icsi and the other regular. MAYBE I can get another one or two tomorrow PRAYING that it does happen. Just very worried about only having 2 for testing you know. They are super quality I'm told so trying to believe in that right now. This process is so expensive!! Doing it this way its gonna be at least 30/50k and so far have hopes of just 2 ugh....I'm beyond worried today! I know theres nothing I can do, but I do wonder if I just shouldve done the fresh cycle transfer. Some embryos do grow better inside why they do the 3dt. Last cycle I got 3 and pregnant with twins. This cycle I had 9 and so far back to 2 and hopes they're normal!
My brain is going a mile a minute, I'm tempted next cycle to try and do a fresh transfer and then hopefully test whatever else makes it. I know it sounds crazy but if others dont come through tomorrow then I just wonder if my lil embabies are happier being in me then out of me....

@mandasand I'm sorry the process is taking a little more time than you'd like but I'm with you on not rushing into anything. Your donor will come and I can't wait to see you get that BFP and your miracle! Hugs! @Hopeful_mom Wow! Your two you have seem to be great! I'll say a prayer they are normal during PGS testing. I totally relate that you feel confused, after reading studies showing the success rates for fresh transfers vs. the high success for frozen transfers it's hard to make a decision on which way to go. How long will the PGS testing take? Will you know the results before your next cycle would transfer? I would lean on your RE and see what there opinion is for you. I'm impatient and I know we all want our BFP right now but I think you are doing the right thing to make sure the embryos you put back have the best chance to thrive.
@Hopeful_mom - so happy you have two to test! and I SO hope the other two make it tomorrow! I would be feeling the same way though.. its a hard expensive process to only get two, but hopefully they will be normal and hopefully it would help avoid another miscarriage (though i know you baby did test normal ) thinking of you so often! Do you get another update tomorrow? How long for the testing?
@TaylorMichel- So glad things are looking perfect!! That is interesting they will transfer on day 3 with that many eggs (hopefully many emrbyos too!) My clinic is always day 5 if you have enough (more than 4 embryos I think) since they are pretty confident that at least 1 will make it to day 5. Last cycle I had 6 looking all good/same at day 3, but only 2 made it to day 5, so we very likely would have picked one that wouldn't have kept growing. But obviously best to follow the REs advice on things like this! Just mentioning bc I want you to have the BEST chance for the first transfer to work!

Question to the ladies that are batching//banking did your place offer any type of discount? When OH got the pricing for this round she thought it was all included in one and not for each cycle...maxing out every credit card will not be fun. Who knows what the right thing to do is, its so frustrating even now.

Hi! I'm new here, but i've been reading through a bunch of this thread:) You ladies are all inspiring and amazing. I'm trying for my first for a year and a few months, 36 low AMH (.27) and high FSH (13) and just found out I have Hashimoto too, TSH is at a 5.4, need to bring that DOWN. My AFC has been going down down down over the last year. I am going to start estrogen priming for my first IVF sometime in the next 2 weeks. My new RE who I love (especially in comparison to my last RE who I just can't with) advised I attempt to bank due to my numbers, and hopefully to do a FET sometime in the near future. @Hopeful_mom - the Lab that works with the clinic I go to offers ladies with DOR the banking option and does up to 8 embryos for $1800 and the clinic does the biopsies for $1900. So $3700. I am considering doing PGS because I have to freeze anyway but I'm really torn. My RE advised us to do PICSI because of my DH's abnormal results after a defragmentation test (haven't gotten that bill yet but i think it's a BIG one) which is going to cost $1000 each round....so many decisions. I am trying to gather some opinions on to PGS or not to PGS, because really that IS the question. I would also love to join in on this thread if everyone is cool with that. It's nice to find some ladies who understand what I've been going through! And that pretty much concludes my novel/interruption!
Me: Hashimoto Autoimune Disease Homozygous MTHFR Cr677 DOR - AMH .27 High FSH (don't even know how high) 2 iui's to start - BFN IVF 1 -3 made it do day 5! 2 5AA 1 6BB PGS results = all abnormal IVF 2 - stimmed for 19 days. insanity. Had 5 follicles that looked mature but only 2 contained mature eggs the others were empty. Nothing made it to day 5 IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 5 - Canceled - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS
Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!! 1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.
FET#1 - Intralipid drips, Prednisone, and did a depot lupron shot before starting the FET protocol Chemical pregnancy FET#2 - PGS normal boy - BFN Natural pregnancy - cycle following the FET2???? Miscarriage at 8 weeks. viability scan had shown an enlarged yolk sac so I had been warned that it was likely not chromosonally normal
DEIVF cycle - picked a donor who is willing to be open! Her cycle resulted in in 4 PGS Normal embryos 1st transfer - chemical pregnancy 2nd transfer - success, May 17 2020 due date!
@Hopeful_mom- I am so happy another one made it! I will be sending lots of prayers for all 3 to come back normal! Did they give you any idea of a time frame? Were you able to talk to your RE about timing for next cycle? I am pretty sure all doctors insist on a cycle inbetween retrievals (unless you do mini IVF) to let the ovaries get back to normal. But you can start priming on the rest cycle. That was my plan.. but this rest cycle has just hit 50 days since i never ovulated.. so i guess its more like 2 rest cycles for me! Guess there is a first for everything.
@hopefuljj- of course you can join our group! Not that anyone really wants to be a part of the low AMH club... but it is definitely nice to talk to others in a similar situation. That is interesting you have hashimotos, i have heard there is a connection between that and DOR. I have always had normal TSH, but slightly elevated thyroid antibodies so they think that could be part of my DOR. They will watch my TSH closely if I do get pregnant. It is so hard to know what to do.. banking, PGS, etc... I have never gotten enough embryos to day 5, so we have just transferred on day 3 or 5, but I definitely wish I could do banking and testing. Unfortunately this next cycle will be my last try before moving on to donor. I figure 4 tries is enough and I am just ready to be a mom.
AFM, just hoping that this SEVEN week cycle is almost done. I took my last provera a week ago... so just waiting and waiting for AF. I have had cramps for the last 48 hours and some spotting.. so it should be any time now. Then I will have baseline and see how things are looking. I'm nervous to be begin since we didn't get to do the normal estrogen priming protocol, but if the #s and follicle counts look good, we will probably start. I feel like my life has been on hold for the last 13 months of treatments, surgery and 3 rounds of IVF. We were hoping to take a vacation the last week of May so if we don't start this cycle, we may have to cancel that. It has been a long dark winter, so hoping we can get this last try in and hopefully have a miracle.. or at least a vacation away from it all after everything.

Hi @JamieH2000 thanks for welcoming me here! yes, I do believe that when you have Hashimoto (antibodies that are attacking your thyroid) they say you are also likely to have anti-ovarian antibodies that have been attacking your ovaries for years too. I went gluten free as soon as I found out about the Hashimoto because it seems to be closely linked to gluten intolerance but also maybe dairy:-/ which I have not given up... The idea with the banking is that we don't expect to get many but maybe if I go for a couple rounds I will get a few and those will count towards the 8 I can get tested for one price. I do not expect to get 8 even after trying for a few rounds. Although maybe something crazy awesome will happen:) The big thing I'm nervous about is anything making it to day 5 so it can even be biopsied and frozen:-/. Anyway, I reeeeeaaaly hope this works out for you this cycle but if it doesn't I think donor egg is a truly wonderful option. At the end of the day I just want to get to the part where I am mom. If it can be with my egg that would be amazing, but getting there anyway way would also at this point be amazing!! Hi @rainbowwishes5 !! Thank you for welcoming me in:)

@hopefuljj- hi sorry that you find yourself here...but welcome to the low amh party - this was the first thread I found and read from page one that I wanted to join as well. Low AMH is tough and its hard when many dont have the issue and understand. My mom is always telling me to get my thyroid checked, the tests come back ok but my mom does have a thyroid issue so maybe i should go to a specialist to make sure. I have to say from the input you already have and this is your first round of IVF I would say you do have a great RE on your hand. So far I have to say many ladies with Low amh have responded well to EPP. Now my estrogen was fine that my RE didn't think it was needed but I wanted too and she said ok. Hoping I get some normal embabies back so i can really say it was a success Assuming you skipped IUI and going straight to IVF. It is a scary process but we all want to become moms so at least you're on the right track! I was torn between to pgs or not. Theres a good thread started not that long ago on here you should read, some ladies had some good input on it. I had a terrible MC so my OH is all about the PGS. Even though its still not 100% a sure thing but it does help!!
JamieH2000So since I'm doing the banking and have an odd number of embryos to test I believe they wait till my next round to have them texted altogether. Its the same price for 8 and if I test any less and under each time, I believe you get charged the same price...nice right! I hate that everything is such a waiting game. I hope i can get a few more in the next cycle! My AF is due next week but that doesn't give me a lot of time for priming so i'm not sure. I also have never been through an ER without the transfer so who knows if it will be on time or not. If you can get away, good for you...like i said have a life outside of IVF is just hard. I gave up planning anything as i just kept losing money and time. Yes we can all use a break and of course if it works great...but it just hasn't for me... I go back for bw Wed so we shall see what they say.

@hopefulmom I did 2 failed rounds of iui with Clomid, my re wanted to do BCP priming and mini IVF and I didn't feel comfortable with the protocol or the place, so I ran for it and found my current RE to go on the IVF journey with:). Sounds like we both have the same situation with banking, I was wondering if they wait to test all the embryos you bank.... Sounds like they do from what you are saying. Do they have the biopsys for the ones from round 1 and just wait to test them all at once when you finish all rounds? I know the clinic will do the actual biopsy where I'm going so, I'm assuming they do the biopsy, freeze the egg and send the biopsy to the lab where it waits until you have gotten all you will get and then they test them... talk about keeping you in suspense!

Welcome @hopefuljj! Sorry you find yourself here but everyone is so sweet. I personally don't know a lot about banking but I know women on this board have had success with it. My hubby also has a high number of abnormals/low count and we did ICSI on our donor eggs this past Sunday. I know this process is so CRAZY expensive. Worth it if we get our miracle though!
Good morning everyone! We got our embryo report this morning! Of our 12 DE, 10 looked great after thaw and they did ICSI on all of them. This morning we got the update that we have 8 embryos! We set up transfer for Wednesday at 9am. Ahhhh! Praying they continue to grow and look great. I also asked about the 3day vs 5day transfer and our nurse said they do mostly 3days because the they want the embryo to implant and mimic a natuarally conceived pregnancy as much as possible. They think transferring at 3 days gives you that possibility even though there is a possibility the transferred embryo doesn't continue to grow into the blast stage. I was pretty confused but I do trust they have my best interest in mind so we shall see.
Thank you @Taylormichel and hooray for your awesome news!!! I'll be crossing everything for you on Wednesday! SO exciting!!!

@taylormichel- congrats on 8!! that is a great number!! I hope they all keep growing beautifully and you will have extra to freeze too! Will you transfer 1 or 2? keep us posted on Wed!
@hopeful_mom- that is frustrating they won't test the ones they have! Because if you knew you had 3 PGS normals.. you may consider not doing a whole second cycle. If you have to wait a month to do the priming during your next cycle, maybe you can take a little "break" and try to get away- you sure deserve it after everything you have been through!
AFM- AF finally decided to come, so baseline is on Wed! Just praying my AFC and bw looks good so we can finally get started. a 50 day cycle is definitely a record for me!

Wednesday is a big day for the ladies on this board! @Hopeful_mom I'm sorry that they won't test any before, I agree with @JamieH2000 that you may not cycle again if you have enough that are normal at this point. Praying for a good AFC for you @JamieH2000! Time to get this party started after a long cycle like that!
@taylormichel- Thank you! I am ready to get started! Hopefully everything looks good to go. So excited to hear about your transfer tomorrow!

Yes @JamieH2000 my RE has put me on a minimal stimulation protocol. I start with 7.5 mg of Femara for 5 days and then add 225 units of Follistim starting on day 3. He says he's seen good results on quality for patients with DOR so all I can do is trust him at this point. I'm finding it really difficult to get excited for yet another round and I'm just desperate for it to work at this point.
Hey Ladies- I have been lurking for a few days! I am in my TWW I had an IUI 12 days ago. I have a AMH of .10. My first RE didnt want to "waste time with an IUI" and suggested I move straight to IVF. Due to financial constraints I didnt like that so I found a new RE who agreed to me doing IUI. Im on my third and im afraid the first RE was right. Im just nervous about the cost and its not guaranteed. Do you guys have any advice?
@20T- thats good they are trying something they have had success with! I feel you about having a hard time getting excited ... i really really hope this is it for all of us!
@londonsmom-2 Welcome! I haven't seen IUI work for most ladies with low AMH, but you probably had lower AMH when you had your first child, and it worked with IUI.. so hopefully it can work again! Do you know what your AMH was back then? If you are ready to move on to IVF, but are concerned about the cost, I have seen alot of DOR ladies go to CNY in new york state since the cost is much much lower than most places (I think like $4k for a round of IVF). So that may be something to look into! When are you testing for this last IUI?

@20T Good luck with this cycle! Hopefully this protocol also works well for you. Keep us updated on how things are going. Welcome @londonsmom-2! I understand wanting to try IUI first. We tried supplements for months to try to get to a level that IUI was feasible but unfortunately it wasn't in the cards for us. My hubby and I talk about all the extra things we could buy or trips we could go on if only we made babies like "normal people" lol! These treatments are so expensive, have you looked into any IVF grants? My clinic gives donated meds to those who are needing some financial assistance. You should talk to your RE and see if they can offer you any help, they want you to be successful so hopefully they have suggestions. HOWEVER- I'll be praying this IUI is the one for you!
One day I'm crazed theres so much going on, came to wish you the best of luck tomorrow! TaylorMichel praying u have some healthy sticky beans and even some leftover frosties Its hard to take it all in and trust our REs but they do 3dt for a reason. Are you doing acupuncture before or after. Just make sure you're warm and comfy after. Looking forward to ur update.
@jamieh2000 yay!!! AF is finally here. Crazy we get excited for AF when we pray for years for it to stay away! Hoping all will go great to morrow and you'll be able to start. I had such a long day the thought of going for blood work in about 4hrs is not appealing at all! And you said theres a place in NY that does IVF for 4k, where is this magical place and why am I first hearing about this now?
AND yes I agree with you ladies on the testing of what I already have but it will cost more money and time. You're probably right whats 2500 vs 14k...ugh this process!
@20T Best of luck with this upcoming cycle! Nice to have you back in the mix, hopefully we'll all get our miracle together!
londonsmom-2 awesome you got pregnant by IUI, i dont many ladies that have been that lucky. Hopefully the magic can happen again for you. Since you are young you should still have good strong eggs...low amh does mean you dont have as much time as others. I tried 7 IUIs and I wish I didn't waste the time on them looking back. I"m OOP for it all and IVF is costing a fortune..so no extra funds for anything! My story is in my signature and its not an easy process but many people can become pregnant on the first try through IVF..and then some aren't as lucky. hopefully it can work again for u.

I was confused about the banking and still am Originally they said they would hold them altogether to test as its cheaper. Then when I inquired again they said because I have an odd number I would be charged for 4 instead of 3 so i should wait anyway. Normally I would say who cares but I'm hemorrhaging money that I will have to wait and do it altogether. I was concerned they didn't do the biopsy until the next round, glad someone gave me the wrong information. Your are correct, they do your biopsy before they freeze the embryos, refrigerate it and send it off to the lab. I first thought they did it in the clinic, just glad my embabies are hopefully sitting safe and frozen. Its such a crazy scary process!

@JamieH2000 I should get another report tomorrow hopefully with those results.

So I have one 5AB (reg fert) and two 5BB (icsi) I know I should be happy with 3, I'll be even happier when they all come back pgs normal
Question to the ladies that are batching//banking did your place offer any type of discount? When OH got the pricing for this round she thought it was all included in one and not for each cycle...maxing out every credit card will not be fun.
@mandasand hoping they find the perfect donor for you at just the right time! Keep us posted!

IVF#1- transfer 2- BFP! Due October 2017 c/p#3 lost at 3.5 weeks

IVF 1 -3 made it do day 5! 2 5AA 1 6BB PGS results = all abnormal
IVF 2 - stimmed for 19 days. insanity. Had 5 follicles that looked mature but only 2 contained mature eggs the others were empty. Nothing made it to day 5
IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval
IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 5 - Canceled - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS
Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!! 1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.

DEIVF cycle - picked a donor who is willing to be open! Her cycle resulted in in 4 PGS Normal embryos
1st transfer - chemical pregnancy
2nd transfer - success, May 17 2020 due date!

Homozygous MTHFR Cr677
DOR - AMH .27 High FSH (don't even know how high)
2 iui's to start - BFN
FET#1 - Intralipid drips, Prednisone, and did a depot lupron shot before starting the FET protocol

JamieH2000 So since I'm doing the banking and have an odd number of embryos to test I believe they wait till my next round to have them texted altogether.

AFM, I'm officially out of limbo and back on bcp to start stims for round 3 on 4/22.
@20T- thanks! I am glad you are getting started too! Hopefully this will be both of our rounds! Are they changing anything for you this time?

@londonsmom-2 Welcome! I haven't seen IUI work for most ladies with low AMH, but you probably had lower AMH when you had your first child, and it worked with IUI.. so hopefully it can work again! Do you know what your AMH was back then? If you are ready to move on to IVF, but are concerned about the cost, I have seen alot of DOR ladies go to CNY in new york state since the cost is much much lower than most places (I think like $4k for a round of IVF). So that may be something to look into! When are you testing for this last IUI?

Back for # 2!
