I have an under active thyroid so trust me, I know. It's too bad women can't talk to other pregnant women openly about their bodies. Oh well, not the kind of people I want to talk to anyways. Toodaloooo
We talk openly about our bodies on here all the time, the difference is we don't set it up as a comparison.
carawasa said: I don't think this has been discussed yet, but how much weight have you guys gained and how far along are you? I have an OB appointment today and I want to know how I compare with others.I'm 15 weeks and gained about 7-8lbs. I'm plus size, though, so im sure this will be an issue. Oh well, here's to next month!
Go see the Plus size page, they post about their weight gain and loss and struggles there. Don't post on a new thread asking the masses about their weight. If you're worried about it look up the average weight gain per trimester. There are apps out there that help track your weight gain and where you should or shouldn't be. Weight is sensitive for all women pregnant OR not.

So, while I'm really into the idea of talking about weight openly, because I don't think there should be stigmas about weight, you're obviously looking for trouble and being intensive in your responses @carawasa If you hung out on tb three years ago, you should know dd is a nono and your behavior is very much flammable. It's too bad, because I agreed with you at first, but then you went straight over the edge. Le sigh.
Anywho, to answer the question.... My pregnancies have been so incredibly different. I gained most of my weight in first trimester with my son, but I haven't gained this time. I'm sure I'll make up for it in second and third trimester. Even though I haven't gained, I started out with 25 extra lbs and if you look at my hdbd, I look a lot more pregnant than the average 14weeker. I'm one of those strange people who likes my body pregnant, but everybody has bad days. I really try to be kind to myself and understand that I'm growing a human. I absolutely understand how sensitive and personal a topic this is. I hope I'm not triggering anyone.
i'm 17 + 2... i'm actually down 23 lbs from when i got pregnant... however I am plus size and type 2 diabetic so i made a lot of dietary changes

I'm one of those people who literally balloon when pregnant. With DS, I started at 130 and gained 50lbs. With DD, I started at 135 and gained 53 lbs. I am 16 weeks now with DS and I've gained 15 lbs. I only get queasy when I'm hungry so I'm alllllways snacking and I'm a dessert gal so woot woot for weight gain. I am OK with what my body does - it does what it needs to, to get me through each pregnancy. My dr's aren't worried so I'm not either. I loose it by the time it has been 9 months after the baby's been born.
This is my second pregnancy and on both pregnancies I lost weight due to morning sickness and of course food aversion, and now that I am 14 weeks and 3 days, I have finally gained 2 pounds! Yay!! I was starting to worry when I kept losing weight in the first trimester! Well losing too much or gaining too much would both be a problem I guess.
Can we please all agree to just let this thread die now? I don't think it's something that needs to be kept at the top for more unsuspecting lurkers to read and possibly make them feel bad.
Well clearly it was directed to me, for your kind information that wasn't for you and I don't know why you have to post such a rude gif without any reason! Having a bad day sweetie? Well don't take it out on your fellow bumpies:)
