Super busy so posting and I'll be back. I am so behind on all your lives!
Diagnosis (If you've been):
Cycle/CD: Cycle 33, CD14
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO? Triggering today
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): The plan was Clomid + Trigger + IUI + Progesterone.
How are things going? Oh boy. Yesterday was my appointment for follied check and then the IUI was most likely yesterday based on my history and darkening OPKs. I called to double check on something for my follie check/IUI appointment and someone screwed up because I was told I didn't have an appointment-my next appointment was scheduled for April 27... like that makes sense. So they tried to say wait till next cycle and I threw a fit. They then said they could squeeze my follie check in for 4:30, but that I wouldn't have an IUI till tomorrow or Wednesday. So I threw another fit and the squeezed me in at 12:30. I was pretty pissed off at the back and forth since this is not the first time they messed up appointments for me. And considering I can only take Clomid 6 times, if this was the second cycle they would waste I was going to be mad.
Fast forward, we had the follie check, I had one dominant follie at 18 on the left, and several really small (5ish in measurement) follies on the right. So H have his sample and we waited and had lunch while it was being washed and prepped. Then they forgot about me in the waiting room apparently and front desk didn't realize till I went up worried about the sperm dying before they could get me in. FINALLY we were called back, but they put us in his office instead of the exam room, which of course never means good news. And I was right in my thinking. There were no sperm. Not even one. He checked himself after the lab tech told him that and even had another doctor look. So obviously no IUI. We are gonna head back in today because doc said we might as well check again. Gut feeling (and a quick google search) tells me that's not happening. I'm pretty devastated but really, really confused. I don't even want to go back in because I am so negative and tired, but H is making me.
Any questions? Comment: I'm not sure what the drop is related to, but I do know eventually Clomid has the opposite effect and lowers sperm count. Not sure if that's what this is, but it might be. If that's the case, what a rapid turn around! For those of you with Hs on Clomid, make sure you keep up on checking sperm every couple months.
GTKY: If money were no object (didn't have to work, etc), how would you spend your days? Probably traveling and relaxing.

@KristoKekerooni WOW I was so angry at your RE office while reading that. So many unbelievable mistakes were made. I am so so sorry you couldn't do your IUI. What will they have you do for next cycle?
@antoto your wait is almost over, hang in there! @anna_1021 I'm glad I'm not the only one with random thoughts like that. andplusalso fun socks are amazing @KristoKekerooni I am just dumbfounded after reading your post!!! I can't believe the office screwed up the timing that badly. I'm glad you stood up for yourself and were able to get in. Then to not have any sperm in the sample after things had been looking better. Hugs. Though the chances are slim I hope by some miracle there are some swimmers today and this cycle won't be a total bust. hugs, we're here for you

@kristokekeronni Ugh I'm so frustrated for you. This whole process has just been so heartbreaking for you, but good for you for getting in there again today and giving it a shot - that takes a special person. I'm thinking of you and your H today.
@madspunk If I start the thread next week, I am definitely going to put the word "waiting" into the title and prompt.
@antoto You're almost there! Your wait has been so much longer than mine so I won't pretend to understand your frustration, but I'm twiddling my thumbs with you.
@wabash15 I read a magazine article about women's awkward encounters at gynecologists, and one said she accidentally grabbed some kind of glittery soap in the shower when she was washing up before her appointment, and her doc said "You didn't have to get all fancy for me!" when he saw her glittery vag. So yeah, they've probably seen it all!

@laurad75 – I’m sorry you didn’t get more than that. L I know it’s said over
and over, but it does just take one. Fingers crossed. I’m sure this is a scary
spot to be in. Hugs.
@Anna_1021 – Love your unicorn poster. So sweet. Sorry you
are having a rough time. It’s hard when you’re down in the trenches to see
light.
@LuND – Wow, that’s a whole new perspective. I’m so sorry
for that news, and I’m sorry it’s just another pressure on top of what is a
really scary thought. As far as the
OB/RE situation, me too, I feel you. My RE is five hours away so I have been “making
do” with my OB. But my OB was pretty good at 1, ordering tests and 2, my
suggestions. So anytime I said, “hey, I see xyz is normally recommended to test
for abc, could we try?” he’d always give his opinion, but leave it up to us.
Girl, you are paying for this. Yes, they are the “experts,” but even if in their
“expert” opinion, testing is a waste, so what? It’s your money. I’d push and if
they don’t relent, find a new OB, if possible. Frankly, regular cycles don’t
necessarily mean anything. Especially if your issue is a something like a
blocked tube or a weirdly-shaped uterus.
@cflux33 – So I didn’t follow up with you last week because EI
found literally nothing on “pituitary pause” and thought it might be a made-up
term. I wasn’t really sure how to say that without being mean, so I didn’t.
Glad you came to that realization on your own. I did have a few ideas but they
aren’t concrete so I need to see if any hunch can even be a real thing. I’ll
see if I can get some solid thinking/research in before the end of the week.
Thanks for your love guys. I am praying and hoping. I posted to numerous boards on numerous sites and so far no one knows anything or has given me any glimmer of hope. Now I am assembling a list of questions so that I can come back with a plan after today. I'll let ya'll know how that goes tonight/tomorrow.

@KristoKekerooni Wow what a horror story with the office. I hope your RE is so great that it makes up for it. This disorganization at your place would concern me a lot. Are there other RE's in your area, or is the doctor so amazing that it's worth it?
As for my pituitary issue, thank you again for trying to look into it! MH and I did a lot of searching on our own last week and concluded the same: "pituitary pause" is not a real term. My RE said it with so much confidence it really threw me off: RE is kind of a character--very blunt and insensitive. For example, when she called MH to give him the SA results she actually said "you're not the problem: your wife is the problem" and several reviews online say that she said rude things like "your sister's eggs are terrible" and made negative comments about a few patient's OBs. I like her though--she is very no nonsense and her IVF statistics are 20% higher than the national average so if she occasionally makes up a random medical term or says something unnerving I guess I don't really care! And her staff makes up for her insensitivity. Anyway, yeah, nameless ovulation disorder. If it can be overcome I don't care what it's called, and my RE was optimistic about that so I'm not freaking out on it as much now that I've had some time to digest it all. Don't kill yourself looking for anything on my behalf, but it you do run across something useful, I'm all ears
@laurad75 I'm sorry for the disappointing ER. FX it makes it to PGS and passes with flying colors.
@eggplantface FX for good PGS results on your little fighter.
@wabash15 I have definitely wondered what the weirdest thing they've ever seen is! @hartmich's pic definitely comes to mind.
@KristoKekerooni I am so sorry that your office screwed up that many times, how incredibly frustrating. Hugs to you, and fingers crossed you get some good news and they are able to do the IUI today. I had heard that Clomid use could eventually start having the opposite effect in men, but that seems like a really, really drastic turn around. Be kind to yourself, try to keep your head up, and know that we're here if you need us.
Cycle/CD: 16 (maybe 17, I have started to forget what I have been using as C1 on TB) CD12
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) More testing...
How are things going?
Eh, okay. We got H's SA results back, and it's a mixed bag. Morph hasn't moved, motility was the best it's ever been, but count dropped. It's still higher than the first SA though, so I'll definitely take it! H is going in for bw and then an US so hopefully we can pin down the problem.
In nonTTC news, we just found out we have to rip out basically 1/2 of our kitchen, so that's going to be fun. We had planned on updating it at some point, but it wasn't on the agenda for this year.
Any questions? Nope.
GTKY: If money were no object (didn't have to work, etc), how would you spend your days? I would probably open my shop that I've been dreaming about and hire enough staff that I could come and go as I pleased, because the store would be more about giving me something to do than about making money. I want to open a store with all of my favorite things (wine, yarn, and books) I've actually thought about this extensively and would totally do it if I didn't have to make money to pay off my student loans.
@vflux33 - yeahhhhh. It's not an RE. The nearest RE is five hours away. I wasn't going to deal with that for "just" an IUI. This is an OB. Which, I mean, the OB is INCREDIBLE. I love him. But the office? No.
I'm glad you like your RE. That's so, so important. And uhm, now I am interested so I am all about looking stuff up.

@KristoKekerooni Oooooh I somehow missed that it was an OB. Yeah 5 hours is far. Well, at least the OB is good. We're totally OOP for the RE but were able to get a tiny bit of blood work through my OB and I love my OB too but it's a HMO and when we went to the lab the lab tech almost stapled MH's blood test order to my receipt and we were pretty freaked out. She also had never heard of the genetic test for Tay-Sachs and was asking other lab techs about it and that made me a bit nervous.
I'm obviously interested too if you do see anything. I probably mentioned this before but if it helps to know for potential searching, my mother had hypoprolactinemia, which also involves pituitary disfunction. My prolactin level is normal, but I wonder if there's some kind of genetic pituitary thing going on here that I inherited but my sister did not inherit (she has not struggled with IF). Oh yeah, also I'm 100% Ashkenazi Jewish (hence the Tay-Sachs testing), which puts me in a historically isolated genetic group. Not sure any of that is relevant but it could be.
@zwink1 well the SA could be worse. Sorry about the kitchen. I know how it is when big price tags sneak up on you with houses. On the upside its good to get it all done pre baby...

@wabash15 my friend is an ultrasound tech and I ask her all the time what the pubic hair trends are and she said, "honestly, I couldn't even tell you". She doesn't even notice whats happening down there. Nor does she notice if legs are shaved or not.
@KristoKekerooni I have such a hard time believing that your H's count would go to nothing when he had normal counts before, and its you on clomid and not your H. My H is on Clomid and they are monitoring his hormone levels for right now. We will get our next SA in May. To go from normal to zero sounds more like a tube blockage to me. Hugs to that horror story at the OB. I am so sorry this is even harder for you than it should be.

@zwink1 FX the blood work and ultrasound help resolve your DH's issue! And sorry about the kitchen - that doesn't sound fun at all! I guess updating it sooner than later is nice, but not when it wasn't in the plans or budget right now.
@KristoKekerooni thanks for the encouragement on getting the rest of the testing done! At this point I feel it may just be best to move on to a new OB and start fresh. And sorry for the sh*tty experience with the IUI attempt... the scheduling errors are absolutely ridiculous! Good for you, though, for advocating for yourself and your cycle. The zero sperm thing is very weird and confusing and I'm so sorry that you're going through this
@antoto thanks lady. FX so hard for your IVF (or that you don't need it)! I'm rooting so hard for you
@madspunk@anna_1021 thank you guys for the kind words and advice. At this point I feel it may just be best to move on to a new OB and start fresh. We'll probably have DH repeat his SA and then get a game plan going with the new OB (assuming I can get in sooner than 6 months).
@TravelingCouple@magnolia131 I haven't had any blood work done, but I think he'd do an HSG. He offered clomid at one point, but that just seems like a horrible idea due to the lack of testing that I've had and the fact that he's not a RE. At this point I feel it may just be best to move on to a new OB and start fresh. We'll probably have DH repeat his SA and then get a game plan going with the new OB (assuming I can get in sooner than 6 months).
Blood work this morning confirms I did in fact ovulate, so I missed the chance to trigger. Now we hang on to it until June for our next medicated cycle.
I go in next Tues for a progesterone draw and then the following Tues for a beta draw. Once I get my CHs, I'm putting away my thermometer until June! I posted it at some point I think, but we're traveling in April & May which will prevent us from doing medicated cycles. I hope I can keep myself busy during this TWW, I think it'll be hard not to test. At least now I know I need a higher dosage of Letrozole for next time.
@TravelingCouple Sorry you missed the chance to trigger but FX for you so hard! Hoping this TWW flies by and that you don't have to hold off until summer but if you do, at least it sounds like you were able to troubleshoot a lot of things this cycle for any future medicated cycles.
@laurad75 Sorry that you didn't get more from your ER but FX that that one makes it and passes the test!
@wabash15 FX for your follie check on Friday. We are rooting for you!
@Anna_1021 Glad you are feeling better. FX for your visit with the RE. Hope you get a clear plan and can start feeling like you are actually doing something. I hate the waiting too!
@leekat14 I know you would have liked better timing but -2 and 0 is still good. I have fingers and toes crossed for you!
@LuND I'm with others that you should get all the testing done before moving to IUI. I feel you like your OB maybe just keep pushing for the testing first and then if he/she doesn't want to do it then switch. I know time is of the esssence but that's more reason not to waste time with things that may not work.
@JuneRoseRuby I get you about not knowing who to tell and feeling like we shouldn't be ashamed of it. So far we have only told our parents. I have a few close friends who I told that we were getting testing done. One of them asked recently how things were going and I told her we are still waiting for results. I also feel like since our main problem is with DH, I don't want him to feel uncomfortable with everyone knowing. I have asked him and he says he doesn't mind but I'm not sure if I should trust that.
@eggplantface Hoping everything goes well with the PGS. FX for you
@TravelingCouple sorry you O'd before the trigger. Hope you at least had some decent timing. Yay for putting away the thermometer for a while! I have already and I think I'm less stressed. FX for you for the TWW.
@Aurora1973 sorry about the bad dreams. It's crazy how our stress and anxiety can be reflected in our dreams.
@madspunk Yay for the cheaper meds and I hope those follies continue to grow! GL
@KristoKekerooni so sorry for all this confusion and frustration. My H has what we think is a partial obstruction but it would be unlikely to get a normal count at any time with that. I hope you get some answers soon.
@zwink1 hope you guys get some definite answers soon. Also hope the kitchen renovation goes smoothly. It may be a good distraction to everything else.
@antoto, @hartmich I know the wait sucks but I'm excited for you guys that you are almost there!

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) Waiting I guess. DH is trying to get in touch with his urologist to see if we are going to continue the same plan and schedule surgery in the next few months.
How are things going? Wish they would go faster. Frustrated that we still don't have a clear plan
Any questions? So my DH's first SA had no sperm, second had 9 million (0 morphology but may be inaccurate due to low numbers and normal motility). We have been racking our brain to think of if there was anything different around the time of the second one that might help our chances. It seems our problem is mainly obstruction but I have been wondering if supplements/ vitamins can help. Our urologist did not mention anything but at the time he only had the SA with zero sperm. I have been digging around here and online and it seems that some doctors recommend theralogix vitamins and Fertilaid also seem popular. Are and of your DH's on it and did your RE/ urologist recommend it?
GTKY: If money were no object (didn't have to work, etc), how would you spend your days? I would travel the world then adopt a bunch of kids and spend my time raising them.
@safire3 My RE recommended Theralogix for H's low morphology too. The antioxidant blend in particular, which I did read is supposed to help. I didnt buy it because it was so expensive and we were doing ICSI anyway, but if we weren't doing IVF I would spring for it as the next-best option since there's not much more we could do.
Me: late 30s | H: early 30s TTC #1 since April 2015 RE Dx: Fibroids, surgery Jan 2016 IUI #1 and #2, Nov/Dec 2016, BFN IVF March 2017: ER - 5R/3M/3F, 1 PGS normal Polyp removed May 2017 FET May 2017 - BFP! Baby boy born 2/2/18
@LuND Wow you didn't have any blood work yet at all? For some reason I figured you had at least had a bit. I thought I had had not very many tests before IUI was put on the table as I said before but they at least checked my TSH and prolactin (and would have tested FSH if it wasn't for my pituitary thing). I had blood taken by my OB before seeing a RE, and only took a day or 2 to get results. So, yeah, definitely sounds like it's time to move on to a new OB.
@TravelingCouple That sucks you missed the chance to trigger, but it's good to have a better handle on how you're reacting to the drugs.
@LuND and @Wabash15, I'm frustrated by the unanticipated expense, but kind of okay with having the excuse to remodel. It's such a stupid thing though, this is all stemming from our leaking garbage disposal...
@safire3 We have not tried Theralogix yet, but my RE also suggested Proxeed. Since Nov, my H has been taking Rainbow Light Men's multi, CoQ10, extra Vit C, and Omega 3's. At the end of the day, an SA is really just a snapshot at any one given time. Obviously, the efficacy of vitamins/supplements will vary depending on the cause of the MFI. I am obviously not a doctor, but in my opinion, as long as you're not going overboard with the vitamins it can't really hurt.
@KristoKekerooni Omg I was so angry for you reading what they did at the OBs! So sorry for that. Like they don't know how incredible struggle it is already.. As for you Hs numbers.. it is so unusual that it went to zero. I hope they find the reason soon. (Or it will be totally normal today and we'll just write that off to the office's account)
@TravelingCouple so sorry you missed your chance for the trigger. Fx fir holding out on this tww. Also sorry to have missed (or have forgotten..) it: where will you trave? Is it for work or pleasure? Hope it will be for fun!
Me: 33, DH: 38 Married: May 2015 TTC since September 2015
@safire3 MH is on theralogix supplements. We sprung for them because we figured if we were already spending $18,000, whats another $300. We are all in for this IVF and if it helps our chances then we were willing to try it. The supplements were in studies that proved ti impact morphology and motility. Our Urologist gave us a code that gave us a discount and we bought three months at one time to lower the price. Also, MH also says he doesn't mind because it's not like it is something he can control. When I tell him people are poking around and obviously digging for me to tell them about the IF, he always tell me to just tell them.
@TravelingCouple I am so sorry you missed your chance to trigger. I hope you still get your BFP! If not, yes take April and May to just relax and not stress about temping!

Tested the trigger today..7 days post trigger and there is a really faint line. Trying to not SS but after being so dry during FW I was surprised at the creamy CM that I was getting...I hate waiting!
@TravelingCouple I'm sorry you missed the trigger. I may have missed it but how was your timing?
@kristokekerooni I can't believe they screwed up that bad! I would have lost it for sure.
@Anna_1021 we still hit O-2, O-1, O @leekat14 in April I'm traveling to Texas just me, for training in Mary Kay. In May we're going to Hawaii on a WE'RE NOT PREGNANT SO LET'S GET OUTTA HERE vacation So April we may miss our FW since I'm away but May we'll be together and will still try as usual, just not medicated. So I'm putting away the thermometer, OPK and all, and will have sex when we feel like it. I'm looking forward to it, but also bummed to "miss" 2 months since they won't be medicated.
Just an update ya'll (thanks for your support, I have been a wreck!) Yesterday was just as much of an eventful day. I arrived for the monitoring appointment and had my follies checked. My dominant follicle is 20.4? If I remember. The others are less than 15 but I didn't ask for details. I went back to the waiting room. I was waiting for the. To tell me if I could call William to come give his sample. After an hour I went back to the desk and asked what was happening. She told me the doctor wasn't there and they didn't know what to do with me. Cue flip out. So super long story as short as possible, the doc left instructions on exactly what to do but no one read the instructions. So he was waiting to find out my stuff but no one sent it. And supposedly I was supposed to magically know when to call h. Even though no one told me. And then h brought the sample and no one there could prep it. So they had to call someone across town in to specifically prep the sample. And then they didn't have the trigger. So I ran to a the next town over because supposedly they are the only one who have it. And I am sitting here, waiting for it to be prepped because they initially sent the wrong dose. So. We finally made it back to the office. Doc was waiting for us with one nurse. Everyone else left. Doc comes in to talk and tells us the sperm thing wasn't good. At all. They I guess look at slides? And per slide they expect to see between 10 and 20. Our slides (they looked at several?) had only one each, if that. Extrapolating here, and not knowing for sure, I would estimate that to be less than a million sperm total because they want to see 10-20 mill? If that? I'm not quite sure. I feel like I fought such a battle today and then to finally be in view of the finish line, only to have that bomb dropped on me. He said he felt "not very encouraged or optimistic" and that he would dissuade us from pursuing further IUIs unless we really wanted to. So I'm really not hopeful. I'm so upset that I went through all that only to find out it's basically worthless. I'm so bummed. We went ahead and did the IUI anyway because why the hell not? We were there and did that much work. So we did. And it hurt. And then we triggered. Because what the fuck ever. And now I am working on an official complaint because this experience has been utterly ridiculous. What a shitty day.

@zwink1 Wow, a sudden kitchen renovation - I bet it's now what you wanted for your budget at this point.. On the other hand, hope it'll give you a nice feeling of accomplishment with every little step - I don't know about you, but I desperately need those these days.. :P (yesterday I was soooo happy to have finished a merging huge excel table. Felt useful again -- well of course today it turned out that my colleague did not do her job with it, so we couldn't use it today the way we wanted to.. but that's life :P)
@safire3 Sorry I know too little on SA to be helpful. Will you have a new doc appt to clarify what it means and to lay the next steps? Plans our good indeed
AFM: just realized that with cd1 today (have I mentioned: "yay"?? :S )I will most likely O on the Easter weekend. Which, I assume, means we won't be able to start IUI the next cycle. I have no concrete information, we'll see the RE on Friday, but .. I mean I was already afraid, they won't do it on the weekend (but had hope they have a gameplan for that) but for Easter? Bet all the docs will be away for a vacay.. Bummed. Well, we'll see what they say on Friday, but my hope and attitude in general just plumeted. And nope, I'm not a special little snowflake either (getting KU after HSG, just before starting assisted reproduction) :P

@zwink1 I get you on the unexpected expenses... in the first year we owned our house we had to replace the furnace, water heater and repair the foundation all unexpected and we replaced all the windows (we knew this one was coming but ouch!) @TravelingCouple great timing girl!! Fx for you, if not enjoy the break, though I understand the feeling of "wasting" months on non-medicated cycles. @safire3 sorry you still don't have a definitive plan. hugs @KristoKekerooni Oh hun. Huge hugs. What a cluster. I do think you should complain. The lack of communication on multiple occasions is completely unacceptable! Well at least there were some sperm but it sucks that the numbers were low. I'm sorry if you've talked about this and I've forgotten but is IVF an option? I know the RE is a long haul away. hugs again.

@KristoKekerooni Hugs, I'm so sorry you have to go through all that struggle just to have that slammed in your face. Did they tell anything about the changing spermcount? Can you have a second opinion on that?
@wabash15 - definitely working on drawing up a complaint. It's hard because I am typically so non-confrontational. IVF is an option but not right now. I don't have insurance coverage, and the lowest OOP I have found, with everything we need (ICSI, PGD/S, etc) totals up to about $25,000. My H and I are pretty money-conscious and we have agreed that we won't be taking out loans for IVF. That leaves us with waiting till we have 100% of it in the bank, plus some leftover for unanticipated IVF needs, plus keeping our cushion of emergency funds. That's doable in a year if we don't strain and cut everything we love out. But then at the point we have to make a decision whether to buy a house or use it all for IVF. I'm of the notion we should use it to buy a house, because then we won't be keeping our life on hold and we could throw everything at IVF, etc. Without anything holding us back in the slightest. We do have (sorta? maybe? who knows?) the luxury of time on our side. I don't have any AMA or DOR issues, and we don't expect any issues right now (I am only 25), so I guess this is what we are doing. Before all that though, we are definitely going to get another SA done, just in case.

@KristoKekerooni WTF that is awful! I can't believe they gave you the run around that bad again. Wow. Yeah, I'd complain too. Sorry about the count. As @wabash15 said maybe it is time to look at other options. Of course part of me is also wondering if the office's incompetence could have influenced the results, and if YH should get another SA elsewhere to make sure it's as low as they're saying before you shell out the money for IVF.
@TravelingCouple Maybe Hawaii will do the trick! You never know. Anyway sounds like fun.
@Anna_1021 Ugh. Sorry for CD1 and having to delay IUI.
@JuneRoseRuby@safire3 I just want to say that both YHs are being really cool and mature about the whole thing. I love MH but he is not above the whole ego issue despite it being totally uncontrollable and medical and before we got his SA results I promised him that if it was him I wouldn't tell anyone and would have had to keep quiet about the testing process with my close friend and mom who I've been sharing with over the last year. I was so relieved that I was the problem so I can just tell whoever I want and not feel like I'm making the situation worse for him. Lots of respect to YHs for being "above" that.
@vflux33 My friend's H wouldn't even talk about it. Even after they had a baby through multiple rounds of IVF and the nurses had asked what their IF dx was. Her H still would not let her talk about it. So you aren't alone. Just make sure that you have appropriate coping strategies! Hopefully YH and you can at least openly talk about it together. Mental health is so important during IF!
@KristoKekerooni OMG.. hugs hugs hugs. Please write a complaint! Holy moley, you do NOT deserve to be treated this way!

@Anna_1021 My main RE office is open 365 days a year, even on Christmas. Because you can't control your cycle and you need to come in when you need to come in. The satellite offices, one of which is my local office, has normal 9-5 hours, but they'd send us to the main office if need be. Hopefully yours has something similar. It would be strange for an RE office to be closed on weekends, that could mess up so many women's cycles.
@KristoKekerooni girl, I'm so glad you're complaining because I want to TP everyone in that office for you. Unbelievable. Does your insurance cover another local RE? I'm sure you could get your records transferred so you wouldn't have to start over. That is so uncool. iF is hard enough..
@TravelingCouple@Anna_1021 As crazy as it sounds, I'm gathering not all REs are open on weekends, unfortunately. A RE group not too far from me that I considered (which has a great reputation) doesn't do weekends or holidays ever, and that definitely weighed heavily in my decision to choose the one I went with, which does do weekends and holidays. I figured this out via Yelp.

Thank you @eggplantface, @zwink1, @JuneRoseRub. I decided to try the theralogix. I figure it shouldn't hurt and may help so why not.
@Anna_1021 I hope that docs can work out something for you so you can do your IUI this cycle. And also I firmly believe at least one of us in here must be a SS so you never know! @KristoKekerooni so sorry you had to go through that. I am glad you are filing a complaint. Hope you are switching docs as well. I'm glad that IVF is an option for you guys even though you will wait for a bit.
So MH finally got in touch with the urologist today. He basically said he has no idea what's going on. He no longer thinks there is any obstruction since even with a partial obstruction numbers would likely not reach the millions. He basically said that we should just pursue IVF but my H will not have to do surgery or TESE anymore. I guess all his blood work is normal so there is no role for medications either to help increase his count. I think we will be going for a second opinion since we would like to have some explanation for the low count. This is the urologist that the RE referred us to and it seems like no matter the problem their solution is always just IVF.
@kristokekerooni How incredibly frustrating! I'm so sorry you had to go through all that. And so glad you are filing a complaint! I can't even believe how unprofessional that office is. I really hope that you are a SS and that this cycle works for you any way, somehow, because after all of that you one hundred and a thousand percent deserve it. Unfortunately, as well all know, IF doesn't care who deserves what. I really could rant about your office forever because I am seriously in disbelief that an office could ever treat a patient like that. Sorry to hear you may have to wait for IVF if you have to go that route. These are really tough choices to make.
@zwink1 Sorry to hear you have to rip out your kitchen sooner than expected. Hopefully you are able to pick out some nice new kitchen stuff and have fun redoing it.
@JuneRoseRuby What your ultrasound tech friend said makes me happy. I am not the best on leg shaving upkeep, especially in the winter, and I have gone in too many times forgetting to shave. Hopefully my nurses are like your friend and they don't notice.
@TravelingCouple I'm still rooting for you even though you didn't respond to the letrozole as well as you would have hoped. Have fun traveling!!
@safire3 MH's urologist recommended Theralogix ConceptionXR Motility when we thought his motility was on the lower end. A second SA showed his motility was okay, so we didn't end up buying it. I looked at reviews when we were considering it and the Theralogix brand seemed to get good feedback. So glad to hear your husband won't have to do surgery or TESE anymore. Interested to see what the 2nd urologist says. I think it's always good to get a 2nd opinion.
@Anna_1021 I hope your RE is one of the ones that is open on the weekends and holidays. Mine has weekend hours and is open on most holidays (I think everything but Christma@aniceucchik
AFM: Follie check today and they aren't growing like they should be. I'm really upset about it. I have a bunch of small ones, but nothing over 11, and none have grown more than 1 mm in 2 days, so they increased my dosage. On top of that, I now have to order the antagonist injection they thought I wouldn't need because my estrogen level is something like 480. With the dosage increase and the new meds, this cycle is getting more expensive. On Letrozole I've had cycles that have had to be cancelled due to no response, and I'm afraid that will happen again.
Re: IF/Testing Check In - Week of 3/27
Cycle/CD: Cycle 33, CD14
GTKY: If money were no object (didn't have to work, etc), how would you spend your days?

As far as the OB/RE situation, me too, I feel you. My RE is five hours away so I have been “making do” with my OB. But my OB was pretty good at 1, ordering tests and 2, my suggestions. So anytime I said, “hey, I see xyz is normally recommended to test for abc, could we try?” he’d always give his opinion, but leave it up to us. Girl, you are paying for this. Yes, they are the “experts,” but even if in their “expert” opinion, testing is a waste, so what? It’s your money. I’d push and if they don’t relent, find a new OB, if possible. Frankly, regular cycles don’t necessarily mean anything. Especially if your issue is a something like a blocked tube or a weirdly-shaped uterus.
@cflux33 – So I didn’t follow up with you last week because EI found literally nothing on “pituitary pause” and thought it might be a made-up term. I wasn’t really sure how to say that without being mean, so I didn’t. Glad you came to that realization on your own. I did have a few ideas but they aren’t concrete so I need to see if any hunch can even be a real thing. I’ll see if I can get some solid thinking/research in before the end of the week.

In nonTTC news, we just found out we have to rip out basically 1/2 of our kitchen, so that's going to be fun. We had planned on updating it at some point, but it wasn't on the agenda for this year.
I'm glad you like your RE. That's so, so important. And uhm, now I am interested so I am all about looking stuff up.

I'm rooting so hard for you
@madspunk @anna_1021 thank you guys for the kind words and advice. At this point I feel it may just be best to move on to a new OB and start fresh. We'll probably have DH repeat his SA and then get a game plan going with the new OB (assuming I can get in sooner than 6 months).
@TravelingCouple @magnolia131 I haven't had any blood work done, but I think he'd do an HSG.
FX for you
@magnolia131 Yay for O! GL for the tww.

@TravelingCouple That sucks you missed the chance to trigger, but it's good to have a better handle on how you're reacting to the drugs.
@TravelingCouple so sorry you missed your chance for the trigger. Fx fir holding out on this tww. Also sorry to have missed (or have forgotten..) it: where will you trave? Is it for work or pleasure? Hope it will be for fun!

@TravelingCouple I'm sorry you missed the trigger. I may have missed it but how was your timing?
@kristokekerooni I can't believe they screwed up that bad! I would have lost it for sure.
@leekat14 in April I'm traveling to Texas just me, for training in Mary Kay.

@Anna_1021 Ugh. Sorry for CD1 and having to delay IUI.
@JuneRoseRuby @safire3 I just want to say that both YHs are being really cool and mature about the whole thing.

@antoto Hang in there!
Any Gonal-F users, how long did you inject?
