Had an appointment yesterday and will get my GBS test next time and probably start cervical checks next week too. I was glad to find that my dr office had changed their policy since my last pregnancy and now lets you schedule your last 4 weekly appointments all at once. Scheduling them week to week last time was hell as there were never any good appointments left when trying to schedule for a week away. It made it really difficult to work around my work schedule. Nice to know that's one less inconvenience this time.
Had my weekly OB appointment this morning at 37+1...everything looks good, baby girl actually cooperated and it didn't take 10 minutes to get her on doppler, she's still head down (by feel), GBS was negative, and my cervix is soft and dilated to 1 cm! C'mon, baby girl; let's avoid that c-section! (I know it means nothing, but it still is giving me a lot more hope since I never dilated on my own with DS since his head didn't descend down into my pelvis to put pressure on the cervix to make it dilate.)
36 wk appt today at 36w3d. I lost half a pound, but my belly measured 38 wks! Last week it measured 35. The dr laughed and said baby is putting on weight. She offered me a growth scan if I wanted but I declined bc they aren't accurate at this point and she was like 'good'. HB was good, nst great.
no shocker, but I'm gbs+ for the third time. Dr says not to wait long when labor starts to head in so I can get at least one round of abx in bc my last labor was 5 hours and she feels this one will be shorter.
Appt today. 36+1. Got my gbs test and she checked my cervix. I'm a fingertip dilated and 70-80% thinned out. I know I can stay that way for the next month but I was happy there was some progress. With ds I was high hard and closed up until 40wks. I need to be 2-3cm for them to induce me and avoid a repeat csection!
Regular weekly checkup today at 38+2. My blood pressure was the lowest it's been in 3 months which made me soooo happy! Baby sounds good. I turned down another internal check. And i actually remembered to pee IN the cup this week AND managed to not get it all over my hand and arm. So overall a good visit.
I had a follow up endodontist appt this week for a dental issue I had around week 32/33. They basically said I need to have dental surgery as soon as I give birth, which is not what I wanted to hear, but I am glad thy didn't make me do it during pregnancy. I was able to push it to April 25th so hopefully that gives me a little time to recover from birth before having this done... if we go to 41 weeks which I am assuming at this point, I will have 12 days between delivery and surgery. My mom will still be in town for that, which will be a huge help!
I also had my routine 38 week appt yesterday. Baby's HR was 132, blood pressure was good st 120/80 but my pulse was high she said (didn't seem worried though, just rechecked it), fundal height was right on track, and no weight gain since my 36 week appt which keeps me at about 23-25 lbs so far. I was GBS negative which I was happy about, and they tried to give me a cervical check, but all she said about it was I was very soft and baby was head down still... no information other than that which was a disappointment. I was expecting to hear effacement, dilation, station, something!
I have one more appt at 39+4, and then they scheduled a folley bulb for 40+6 and induction for 41 on the dot if I am still pregnant. No matter what this baby will be here in 3 weeks or less!
Just had my preregistration appointment. Rather a lot of asking questions I had already filled out in my medical history questionnaire. Oh well. But the difference was that they did note my risk of PPD since I'd filled out the questionnaire before my loss. So that's good, that they'll keep an eye on that. Nice to know I can be whisked right in when I go into labor now, and it was nice to have some questions answered about photography and postnatal care supplies and birth plan and whatnot. Down to the wire!
Had a regular appointment today at 34+5. All is fine so going back in two weeks and then every week after that. GBS test at the next appointment. I'll have an ultrasound in between now and then to check on my two fibrioids but they shouldn't pose any problem with delivery. Happy I get to see the baby again!
Had my appointment yesterday. 1cm dilated, but the baby's head is nowhere near engaged. He or she kept moving its head all around, and is clearly in no hurry to settle in my pelvis. My other kids were born at 40+3, so I'm not really surprised. The doctor said to be prepared to go to at least 40 weeks, which I am. I think I need to mentally prepare myself for a big baby though...
