There's so many great name ideas here! I know what I would like to name baby, but whether DH will agree to it is another story. Our DS is named Axel. If this one is a boy, I like Kaiser. One of DH's buddies from the army is named that. Middle name would be Edward. If it's a girl, I would like Keilah (pronounced Kylah), middle name would be Elizabeth.
We're planning for Theodor Marshall for a boy (after our grandfathers, my Grandpa (Theodor) was given a few weeks to live the same week I found out I was pregnant... we were already planning on the name anyway but solidified for sure now), and most likely Catherine Theodora or Catherine Thea for a girl. DH hates Theodora so luckily I have a few months to sway him.
We basically had names for 3 children picked out before we even got married so naming has been super easy for us! We might be in trouble if it's twins though.
We have two boys already, Tyler and max. If this one is a boy, we have to do a lot of searching. I like Owen Luke or Oliver but my husband vetoed those previously. We do have or girl name - Zoey Elizabeth. It's my husband's favorite name and my grandma's middle name.
Thank you ladies, I'm going to steal all your boy names because I couldn't find any I liked until you all suggested some! Sawyer, Hudson, Gavin and Leon are all boy names that you all mentioned that I really like. H likes more common/traditional names so we will see. Our girl name I love and we agree upon, Muiread (pronounced mur-aid). It's the Irish form of Margaret and I love it so much that I wish I had used it for DD!
My ticker says it below but I'll explain a bit. DH and I are big time geek/nerds/whatever and we both decided to go the "geeky" route this time around. DH chose James Tiberius(Capt. Kirk) and I chose Clara(Doctor Who companion). I'm still out on a MN for Clara but so far I like Clara Rose, Clara Lenore or Clara Mae.
~Mom to an amazing Jan 2011 boy~ ~EDD Nov 18, 2017 with my IUI success story~
@pawcall ahhh love that! I really wanted Rose as a name bc she was my favorite companion but it sounds awful with our last name which begins with "Ro" lol
Eta @QTAMum3 also thought about Clara (DH and I are huge DW fans too) but all the kids in DHs family have "C" or "K" names and I refuse to follow trend....rebel without a cause here
- Belle because I love me some Beauty and the Beast, it was my grandmother's middle name, and it means 'beautiful' in French. Caroline for my mother, Carolyn.
Our boy name was settled, but now Husband is waffling...
We'd agreed on...
Rorick (call him Rory) Richard
Husband is famous or infamous for his phantom decision making. He'll seem settled on something, and then the "Hhm, well, I don't knows" begin.
@QTAMum3 Amelia is top on MY list but DH really wants family names sigh. I did almost have him convinced of Rose though until we realized how it sounded with our last name.
We will have a Henry for a boy, he will be the 4th in the family (traditionalist). For a girls middle name we are taking the initials of important ladies in our families M- Mary, A- Alaine, E- Elizabeth so the middle name no matter what will be Mae, it goes well with every name too! I love E names, Eleanor, Emery, Everly, Evelyn, Evie

I LOVE Mae and the idea of using the initials! For boys we have only "horrible" names left to pick from...Maness, Willard, Garvis, Falustino, and Clarence... I mean REALLY do not have much to work with. I promise these are real names of our father's and grandfathers!!
@cottingham3 could you use those as middle names for your boy or do you prefer to use them as a first. Personally I like Willard! You can call him Will for a nickname.

@laurie Maybe. Honestly, boy names have always been hard for us but we have always worked it out and love both of our son's names. My husband randomly likes Rex. All I can think is dinosaur!
Right now we are loving Sebastian or Winston for a boy, Quinn or Reagan for a girl. I have a list of all the names we like, it'll be SO HARD to choose!

Omg where to start. First off, I love all the names you guys have chosen ! Like actually all of them, I was reading through and being like okay, don't forget to tag this person and tell them you love that name! We decided while we were TTC that we would name our baby Arima Lee, whether it was a boy or a girl. The reason being that arima is actually my last name, and Lee is my family middle name (first born of every family). Since I am keeping my last name but giving the baby my husband's last name that seemed to be what made most sense for us. It's funny because I think arima is a much nicer name for a girl (nickname ree or Reema) but my DH thinks it's nicer for a boy (nickname Ari). He's greek so Ari is a pretty common name for a male in his culture. We have decided to wait until the birth to find out if it's a boy or girl, so I'm so glad we've found a name that we are both happy with no matter what it is!
ETA: I know this name clearly and totally revolves around me and my life BUT he has 3 children who I mainly raise on my own because he works so much, and he named all three of them. So although this is totally different (they were unexpected miracles, ours has been wanted and pre loves for 3 years) he has been through the whole pregnant girlfriend thing before and isn't as invested about things like getting to name the baby.
@ktcakes 87. I have a Sebastian you will not regret it! We call him Bastian for short. And don't worry about the length my DS just turned three and can spell it already! It's adorable when I drop him off at daycare and his little friends are like "Bastian's here!"
@bcashaw actually last night DH threw out another name that I am really loving. I honestly don't know why we didn't think of it before but he mentioned Margaret Jean and call her MJ or Maggie for short. Margaret is my maternal grandma and Jean is his.
@jess0211 that's a great name! I love names that can be shortened or nicknames differently. When my mom named me Brenna she thought my nickname was always going to be Ren but it turns out most people call me bee or bree or bren!
I also want to say, I love so many of these names! Our dilemma is that I am Colombian-American and my husband is Austrian. So whatever name we pick needs to be easily pronounced in three languages. I've like some names, but then quickly realized some Spanish speakers would make fun of them because they sound like something funny/bad in Spanish and same thing with some other names and how they sound in German. This is limiting us quite a bit.
My daughter's name was picked 10 years before I ever had her. I met a girl in Europe who was a nanny for special needs children. She was one of those people you never forget. I told her if I ever had a daughter I was naming her Lydia. Also, I'm a huge fan of Jane Austin and it's Biblical. Her middle name is after my paternal grandmother. Next we have Orrin Patrick, who was named after several family members from both sides. Rhett Flynn is after my mother's middle name. She was diagnosed with an aggressive breast cancer right before he was born. This baby will either be Augustus (Gus) Paul (MN after my father) or Clara Suzanne (after DH's mother who passed away at 35 of thyroid cancer). Clara seems popular, and I love it
For a girl Caroline Elizabeth. I don't know about a boy. For my son, we didn't even name him until we were in the delivery room and they needed a name for the birth certificate! I've always been bad coming up with boy names, but my girl name has been set for awhile. Caroline for my granddad Charles, and Elizabeth for my middle name, my mom's name, my grandmother's name, etc. DS was named for my husband's side of the family, so the next one will be named for mine!
@jess0211 my DH did the same thing to me last night and suggested his grandmothers name, which all of a sudden I love. Aglaia(Ah-glay-ah) and we would NN her "Aggie" just like his grandma.
@Laurie I love love love Eleanor and want to use it so bad but I kinda promised myself I would let SIL use her future girl name of Nora.
Our 3 kids are named after 3 of Teddy Roosevelt's children(the first two were coincidence, third name planned) and want another Roosevelt name so bad but I feel like none of them click and DH and I will go some sort of Geek or now maybe even family driven names.
I'm loving some of the names you guys have said so far! My DH and I haven't talked together about first names yet. We had discussed it previously before we got pregnant but it was never a serious conversation. We are pretty sure we have middle names mostly figured out. Our boy middle names are pretty much for sure decided, they are Daniel (from my husband's side) and James (from my side. We have an idea for girl middle names but aren't completely sure yet. My SIL's middle name is Leanne and my Mom's is Leigh so potentially something along the lines of "Leigh Anne" I do have a little list of first that I've been keeping as they come to me so I can remember the names I like when we go to figure it out! Boy names that I'm loving so far are Hudson, Jackson and Elliott and girl names are Avery, Everly, Josie and Jillian. With everything all out together, my favourite boy combination is Elliott Daniel James and girl is Avery Leigh Anne. Any input/ideas are welcome!
Re: Baby Names
My DH insists we are having a girl next so we have a name set in stone Emilia Elise.
If we do have another boy I really like the name Leon with the possibility of Franco or Sebastian for a middle name. He's not sold.

BF lost both his parents, so names will honor them, and potentially my maternal grandfather.
Tova (his mom's Jewish name)
Something with an A for his dad, Allen
Noah for a boy or girl (my grandfather)
And that's as far as we've agreed on. I think if we have twin girls, Tova and Noah would be cute!
Harrison James
My top for a girl:
Goldie Jane
Both of these are family name combinations from both DH's side and mine.
I also really love the name Naomie for a girl, but I'm not sure on what a middle name would be.
