Donor egg research is exhausting especially with me being OCD researcher! Fresh? Frozen? Military discounts? There's no time to be sad about my empty follicles - all my energy is going to DE now! Right now I can say I have no desire to try another round of IVF and almost excited to pick a donor and get the ball rolling!

@mandasand- glad to hear you are doing ok! Keep us posted on what you learns and decide. Obviously I wish you had gotten some eggs and could have had a transfer, but I remember telling my RE that I almost wished my last cycle hadn't gotten so close so I could have just felt closure about moving on to DE instead of wondering about trying one more time. I think you literally gave it your all and now hopefully things will get going with a donor sooner than later!

@Hopeful_mom thanks! I think I was already prepared so right now I don't feel like there's a point in being depressed about it. I will be honest, the past year and a half was rough, with treatments, my dad's illness, work...the list goes on. I was really depressed. So when my doctor and readjusted my treatment plan last November, we gave it our best shot. I know I did everything I could. So now here we are and my husband needs time to process. He has feelings too so I want to make sure he has the time to process without pressure.

@mandasand you have patience of a saint my dear! You're planning on using ur husbands sperm right? IF sux and is such a hard process, I admire you and give you so much credit. It's very hard not to get depressed during this process for sure!! I struggle all the time to stay positive through the extra craziness of life!!

@Hopeful_mom yes, hubby's juniors - he's very insistent on that! Hey, I just found out at work that one my my co-workers did DE. I know they had been through IVF so I lightly mentioned that we had another failed IVF and then he just opened up like a book! They actually started the adoption process during their DE cycle and they ended up with a an adopted baby girl and then had twin girls 6 months later! So, for those that struggle for so many years - there is always hope!

@mandasand- I hear you, can't rush the hubby into anything they aren't ready for yet. Hopefully he will come around good. You definitely don't want to push him, but of course it does take a few months even once you decide to pull the trigger. Sometimes I think about taking the summer off from all this though if this next round doesn't work... Its true what you said- once you decide to do donor, the "ticking clock" is somewhat gone. Of course we all wanted to be moms years ago at this point, but this process is mentally exhausting.

AFM: I feel like today went better then sat, Hoping it will continue!! I think some of my disappearing follies could be the difference in technicians too...at least for this round. Right 5.5, 6, 10 and 14. Left 7.5, 9, 12, 12.5, and 15 I'm still nervous just really hoping the ones that are 7 and 9 will catch up...hell I'd love to get them all I'm trying to not get too excited but so far this is the best response I've had technically, please follie g-ds hear me and grow together!!
@JamieH2000 today I will say I felt better will my regular girl doing the scan. She was just going through them like, this one should make it and this one, I was like u really think so?? I would love to actually have some to retrieve. I haven't been able to get to acupuncture like last time and trying not to stress over it. Hopefully these girls will be just as strong. Such a roller coaster. I go back in on Wed. With that 15 in sight I know I'll be going every other day...I pray they all stay on board. I looked for the DR to discuss the PGS testing and of course shes on vacation...

@hopeful_mom- that is a great update! So happy for you! Sometimes ladies start off a little slower with estrogen priming but then they all come at the end! Glad they are monitoring you closely and can't wait to hear the net update! What doses of meds do they have you on?

@jamieh2000 thanks hoping the next will be just as good. They have me on the max dosage 600 in all. 300 gonalf and 4 menpur which is 300 and the cetritide. My RE said anything more you're brain and body dont react to it and its a waste of money. Hoping I've got some strong ones going!!

AFM: Had my US and I have to admit I was nervous about the lead follicle that they would want to trigger me but luckily we're still stemming away. Right 8, 9, 13, and 16 Left 10.5, 12, 14.5, 14.5 and 17.5 I will say this is the most they've measured in a cycle so its pretty exciting...I just hope that I will actual get at least 4/5 super strong ones. We all want as much as we can get but this being the 4th round for me i'm trying to be realistic as well. I do wish I tried this EPP protocol before doing the lupron which was such crap! And my E2 doubled from 302 to 649 so they said things are looking good...yay!!

Glad you're doing well @mandasand I've been keeping up with your journey and I'm so sorry for everything you've been going through. My husband and I are going with donor eggs and will be doing ICSI on them and a fresh transfer in early April! It took me a minute to get on board but now am so, so excited! @TaylorMichel awesome! You're getting close! I am still deciding between fresh or frozen. For fresh, how hard has it been for you while your donor has been stimming? Does your doctor keep you informed of her progress? Are you worried if she's making all the appointments? My agency told me not to worry about these things because they are getting paid to do it and they sign a contract....just curious how the experience has been for you?

@mandasand sorry I don't think I was clear in how I wrote that. Oops! We are using frozen eggs but going to do a fresh embryo transfer. Also we were previously planning on using a known donor, my sister in law. But decided to go with an anonymous donor after my doctor told me they had frozen eggs that "couldn't be a better match for me" it seemed kind of like fate because we were all on board for my sister in law to be the donor before the appointment. It also was half as expensive as doing fresh donor eggs. However I would agree with your clinic and wouldn't worry about you donor take no her meds or making her appointments. I know they are also be paid but most people that would put themselves through all this really want to help people so I think you will be great if you decide to go with fresh donor eggs. For us another draw to the frozen eggs was the timeline since we didn't have to worry about my donors response/number of eggs retrieved or her cycle lining up with mine. Which with the process we all have been through it nice to have one less thing to worry about! Are you leaning one way or the other yet?
@TaylorMichel we actually may have to do frozen egg donation. The military clinic I'm at only works with one agency and we are having a difficult time finding a match - my IVF coordinator is working with the agency to maybe do some recruitment advertising. It's annoying but we'll figure it out!

AFM: Yesterday came and went, monitoring was ok but the large follie is getting too big that I might loose it. Right 10, 11, 15 and 18.5 Left 12.5, 16.5, 17.5 and 22.5 (one disappeared in a day) I thought they would want to trigger me last night but they are first triggering me tonight in hopes that I will have more mature ones come sunday. SO I trigger tonight and pray that I get some mature follies on sunday and then fertilization report on monday my birthday so my emotions are really all over the place. It has to be great news since it'll be my birthday right Hoping they made the right decision to wait the extra day!

@Hopeful_mom yes this will be my first transfer! We initially decided to do IVF because of MFI. But my levels have always been in the normal range until right before we decided to do DE. FSH is at a 13. I've had 3 cancelled cycles. I started prep and assuming my lining is looking good we will thaw and do ICSI on April 2nd! So exciting that you are triggering tonight! Hopefully you have the BEST Birthday news!!!

Thanks for the good wishes ladies, much appreciated! Am I the only one that gets nervous thinking the trigger is done wrong and you want make it to ER. Glad the blood work is a go so thats good. I'm just nervous what tomorrow will bring, disappearing or empty follies makes me lose sleep. I've been on drugs pretty much over a year and have gained about a good 20lbs....but this week I've gained 5lbs in the last week WTH!! I dont know if its been the estrogen but this cycle has definitley bothered me more then the previous ones.
TaylorMichel I've had cancelled cycles before and know how frustrating that could be. Its so crazy how our levels change and we're non the wiser. FSH/AMH who ever knew you needed to have those levels checked. Why our OB dont do it from the beginning will always be mind boggling to me!! Exciting how close you are yay!!

@Hopeful_mom It was the PIO that did me dirty! The first 2 weeks I was pregnant I gained 10lbs. It caused me to constantly be hungry. Eventually it subsided.

ER was early this morning I was really in more pain this time, so dizzy and quizzy.
Ok good news is we got 10 out woohoo, one already looks wonky so he's considering that I got 9. I will say this time really was way more uncomfortable. The Anesthesiologist was super nice and gave me some pain meds. Hoping I got some winners in there!!! I wish this was the first cycle. They let OH sit with me after so that was nice! Perks to being last on a Sunday.
You'll all appreciate this, my RE was laughing that I was barely a wake and the first thing I asked was did we get any, how many EGGS
I gotta one track mind for sure!! Not sure how many were actually mature as he didn't say.

HI ladies! Finally my report is in and so far I've got 7 out of the 10 going strong woohoo!! Of course I would've liked all 9 as I knew one was already iffy. You know I wanted more info. but I don't think the girl was qualified to know anymore. I'm hoping the lab might have more. I do know that 4 were with icsi and 3 with regular fert. I'm actually happy some made it through the "regular" way, his boys only had one direction to go in. My big joke is how his boys are bad with directions on their own HA!!!

@mandasand- I hear you, can't rush the hubby into anything they aren't ready for yet. Hopefully he will come around good. You definitely don't want to push him, but of course it does take a few months even once you decide to pull the trigger. Sometimes I think about taking the summer off from all this though if this next round doesn't work... Its true what you said- once you decide to do donor, the "ticking clock" is somewhat gone. Of course we all wanted to be moms years ago at this point, but this process is mentally exhausting.

@JamieH2000 today I will say I felt better will my regular girl doing the scan. She was just going through them like, this one should make it and this one, I was like u really think so?? Such a roller coaster. I go back in on Wed. With that 15 in sight I know I'll be going every other day...I pray they all stay on board. AFM: Had my US and I have to admit I was nervous about the lead follicle that they would want to trigger me but luckily we're still stemming away.

I will say this is the most they've measured in a cycle so its pretty exciting...I just hope that I will actual get at least 4/5 super strong ones. We all want as much as we can get but this being the 4th round for me i'm trying to be realistic as well. I do wish I tried this EPP protocol before doing the lupron which was such crap! And my E2 doubled from 302 to 649 so they said things are looking good...yay!!

TaylorMichel I've had cancelled cycles before and know how frustrating that could be. Its so crazy how our levels change and we're non the wiser. FSH/AMH who ever knew you needed to have those levels checked. Why our OB dont do it from the beginning will always be mind boggling to me!! Exciting how close you are yay!!

3/2016: RE suggested donor eggs- taking an ivf break and to supplement

Diagnosis: Mild Endo, DOR (AMH of 1.5), Poor Quality Eggs/embryos, Displaced Window of Implantation (ERA Post Receptive)
March-May 2016: 1 TI and 2 IUIs- BFN
June 2016- Laproscopy- found/removed mild endo and confirmed only 1 normal healthy ovary.
August 2016- IVF #1 with Antagonist Protocol- Cancelled (2 lead follies), converted to IUI- BFN
Oct-Nov 2016- IVF #2 with Estrogen Priming Micro Lupron Protocol, 2 eggs retrieved, day 3 transfer of 1- BFN
January 2017- New RE, IVF#3 with Estrogen Priming Antagonist Protocol, 12 eggs, 8 mature, 6 fertilized, 2 day 5 early blasts transferred (none to freeze
May 2017- Sept 2017- Starting Donor Egg process! Waiting for donor to be available... and then she is pregnant at baseline
Oct 2017- Donor #2: 25R, 22M,18F, 12 blasts frozen! Fresh transfer cancelled due to thin lining with fluid
Nov 2017- Hysterscopy to remove polyp
Dec 2017- DE FET #1 on 12/8 on 2 perfect blasts- BFN and devastated
Jan-Mar 2018- ERA #1- Post receptive by 24 hours, ERA #2 RECEPTIVE with 4 days of Progesterone
Apr 2018- DE FET cancelled for lining issues
Jun 2018- DE FET #2 of two 1AA blasts- first BFP ever! Beta 10dp5dt- 378, Beta 14dp5dt- 2840, Beta 16dp5dt- 4035, beta 18dp5dt- 10916. Due on 2/20 with one baby after a vanishing twin
