@jamieH2000 are you doing estrogen priming and are you on any additional vitamins?

This time around my Dr knew I wasn't going to develop many eggs so he tried to focus on them being the strongest/healthiest instead. He had me on Inositol, Reversertrol, Ubiquinol and Melatonin, but to be honest I didn't take the melatonin, it made me into a zombie the next day

@jamieh2000 I forgot to email my nurse yesterday - oops! I also need to remind her to send information on gestational carriers so DH and I can start doing some research.

@hopeful_mom My RE is trying almost like an IUI protocol this time around using Letrozole to see if recruiting a follie (or 2) helps naturally build up my lining. This is after having me on estrogen 2xday for three weeks and then inducing a period to try and start this next cycle with a "clean slate". If my lining cooperates, we will trigger and then do a FET. If it doesn't cooperate but I still get 1-2 follicles, we will probably convert it to an IUI. I'm hoping my follicles cooperate, last time we tried a similar approach (using injectables) and my follicles didn't cooperate at all. I had been thinking about doing the Whole30 for awhile but could never fully commit. It is a big commitment and a lot of preparation each day (and I still miss bread!) but I had to bite the bullet and just do it.

Hello ladies! I have been lurking on here for a while. It's crazy that you guys are doing the Whole30. The process is stressful enough I don't know if I could succeed in a strict diet on top of it. Good for you guys!!!!

I had had my ER Sunday. This is my third round and we did sperm retrieval direct from the source to see if it would help with his sample. Unfortunately it's the same results as the last time. 20 eggs 14 mature and 3 fertilized. I'm so disappointed. My doctor wants to transfer two this time because the embryos are never strong enough to freeze. Here goes nothing. Transfer will be Friday and we will have to see but I'm not holding my breathe.

@msymmers922 Thankfully I was in a holding pattern for the past three weeks so thought it was as good a time as ever to start the Whole30. Plus it gives me something else to focus on other than IF. I've also read that eliminating carbs and sugar can help with stress levels and keep a more constant mood, which I'm all for! I will keep my fingers crossed and send out some positive vibes for you on Friday!

I should be doing the whole30 but its been too much. I've been trying to eat healthy and still gained weight. I feel like i've been taking something as in hormones for a year now and it shows

I lost weight when i was preggers and after the MC i put back that and them some, very frustrating! Here I wasn't eating perfectly for sure...I went from not being able to eat for 3 weeks, to then trying to get something in. Its annoying, but I'll have to try to cut out the sweet and get back to it again in this cycle. Not eating ice cream for 3 months was a big deal i think

natalie4oscar that is a lot of meds, wonder if i should ask my dr about that? Who wants to take more vitamins, right now i'm on dhea, coq10 and vitamin E...really hoping i can get more this cycle!! Its funny I did have winners the last time just need longer lasting ones this time!!

@jamieh2000 when are you suppose to go back to the dr?

AFM: Just got the call and Beta is final negative per the nurse, certainly took long enough! i'm good to go with my patches

Is it strange that i have mixed emotions. I guess I'm excited and nervous to start all at the same time. Its tough as my bday is in March and I was finally pregnant I already knew what to wish for when blowing out those candles...so its bitter sweet for me. Now It looks like I'll be most likely stemming or something...hopefully now that will be the best birthday gift right!

@natalie4oscar- yes I'm doing estrogen priming with ganirelax again and then antagonist. We had a good response but not great embryos so more evidence for an egg quality issue

just gotta hope we can get a good one this time. Did you have your second beta?!

@mtpbadger- super impressed with the diet!! I'm gonna try to be on my best eating behavior this cycle but overall a picky eater so it's challenging haha

@msymmers922- I'm sorry, that is so dissaponting

but I have seen lots of ladies have it work with only a few embryos! Really hoping this is your one!!

@hopeful_mom only on day 5! I have a long way to go still but each day gets a little bit easier

@jamieh2000 I'm a picky eater as well so I've had my freak out moments already. Im also a creature of habit so I don't mind finding what I like and repeating it! This is also forcing me to try new things and thankfully there is still plenty I can eat that I already know I like.

@mandasand- my RE suggested Ovaboost so trying that along with my COq10, vitamin D and prenatal. I did accupuncture for 6 months but saw no improvement. I didn't go for my last cycle and it was the best one. I think it helps some ppl but for me the stress of trying to leave work early and drive there in traffic was more than any benefit. Wish there was more I can do, but I think it just takes persistence and luck if you have an egg quality issue

@mtpbadger- sounds similar to me! I don't mind being repetitive in eating for a little but definitely not something I could sustain as a long term lifestyle change. Still gonna consider it for the next cycle tho!

Hello guys!! I can't believe we are already four days into March!! Hopefully these next two weeks go by just as fast. Transfer was yesterday. We transferred two. Ahh! They don't look good but our doctor basically said might as well give them a chance instead of just giving up. All we can do is wait.

Hope you ladies are are doing well! Time to start hearing some good news!

What protocol are you doing this cycle. So far the antagonist has been ok so hopefully adding estrogen priming can be the magical touch for me. Quick catch up, My Beta took forever to come back negative that it was first after AF that it did. Had my sono and everything looks just as great as the first time so hopefully thats promising. Levels came back that I can start, and now I'm on my second week of estrogen priming...
Praying I just get so many eggs this cycle that I dont have to bank it and I can then try a fresh cycle too

@radmom27- estrogen priming has worked best for me too. I saw your last cycle you ovulated through cetrocide? It looks like you had a lot of follies though, so hopefully they have a good plan to prevent that this time? You are so strong to be going through this 5 times! I really hope this is it!

I am still waiting to begin cycle # 4. As of Friday, it was day 27 and I somehow have a 35mm follicle that still hasn't ovulated. without ovulation, I can't start estrogen priming. My RE wanted to just do provera to get my period and get started.. but this is my final try so I really want to do the estrogen priming. So at this point.. thinking my body is just off from all the meds last cycle and may need another month to get back to normal. I hate delays... but I guess I have to be patient. I know you girls get that more blood work tomorrow so we will see!

@radmom27 AF is really here in full force, so tomorrow I will go in for my baseline and see whats in store. My dr called today and when I looked at the phone I first thought they were calling to confirm my appt...thats in my head cause i know i need to go in. I knew AF was on its way so I answered the phone 1/2 a sleep and then to my surprise it was my dr..on a sunday. This must've been her weekend, she was following up with my blood results which I should be happy came back normal, didn't show anything that wouldve caused the MC. She did mention I have the MTHFR gene which she said 50% of woman have it. Originally they thought maybe it could cause MC back in the day but that no longer seems to be the case. She also knows me and told me that google will have things that are not accurate so I shouldn't become obsessed..who me HAHA!!! Trying so hard to stay positive and then i'm just nervous I want get good news...not a good way to be going in for baselineI know. Its a lil hard to not feel that way...anyone familiar with that gene? Do you remember what your AFC count was?

@Hopeful_mom I'm ok. I tested Tuesday but it was negative. The official test is tomorrow but I started bleeding last night so I'm not holding my breathe. @Msymmers922 Keeping u in my thoughts, I kno it's tough!!

I actually just started stemming, today will be day 3. I'm a bit more nervous this round. I didnt sleep a wink going in for my baseline on sun, you think I was headed in for ER. I was super anxious I guess. SO I asked what the AFC was and she saw 2 on the right and 4 on the left. A year ago I had 8 and 6, so I'm just so confused how it can be so much less. Even if each one gives me one that would still be better then I have had before. I find myself way more unsettled this time, just not sure why. Its over a year now and they re did all my blood work, besides just checking my levels. I was happy to get the go ahead to start as my levels were on point and everything looked good. The only concern was my levels for my probalactive, whatever that is, it was 2.5 and then 34, they said its suppose to be under 26. Now this could explain my more anxious feeling BUT who knows. I was a little out of practice with my shots last night I was making a mess!! Hoping I can get a bunch of my golden eggs!!!

@hopeful_mom I completely understand the nerves! Especially having experienced a negative outcome or bad news, it makes going through everything again that much harder!

@msymmers922 I'm so sorry you started bleeding before your beta! Did you get the final results yet?

@rainbowwishes5, how are you having in there?

AFM - AF started after taking provera, very light but my RE said she expected that from me and my thin lining. Baseline tomorrow and then I'll start Letrozole tomorrow night if everything looks okay in preparation for FET. This is most likely my last try and if my lining doesn't cooperate, DH and I will move on to other options. As hard as coming to terms with not being able to experience pregnancy, I don't think I can handle treatments anymore, all the "what if's" and disappointment. I'm sure my RE would be willing to keep trying different protocols if I REALLY wanted to, could go for 2nd or 3rd opinions, but at some point, enough is enough - financially, emotionally, physically, and mentally.

Well it's officially a BFN. I don't know what the next step is. Our doctor says we might have to do donor sperm. I'm not quite sure about it but I guess we will have to have the talk. It's frustrating and I don't want to think about having a baby that isn't truly ours. But I'm out of here for a while. Good luck everyone and I'll check back in when we make our next plan. Hopefully you guys still won't be here. Keep positive!

if it comes to it though - using a sperm or egg donor doesn't make the child any less the both of yours- just not genetically related to a parent. we may end up using an egg donor so I've had to start thinking about this.... And if you can be comfortable with it then it's really just another way to build a family.

@msymmers922 I am so so sorry. I think any decision to use a third party to get your family, whether it's donor sperm, donor egg, surrogate, is such a tough pill to swallow. No matter what though, I think once you have that baby in your arms, you won't be thinking about how you got to that point or if it's genetically yours, just how much you love that tiny little human.

@rainbowwishes5 that is a fantastic update yay!!! The FET you did previously was with normal tested embryos too?? I think your plan is smart I don't blame you for banking especially with having some insurance coverage and hopefully more normal embryos will be on the way!

@msymmers922 I am so very sorry to see your update. I can understand the confusion you're going through. At times I was looking to use donor sperm myself as OH counts was off at times but they still think its fine. There are still concerns that come up on OH sides of the family that he sometimes thinks we should use a donor and I'm the one who really wants it to be ours...funny it doesn't matter to him. Not sure how that should make me feel

You still have options and in time I'm sure you'll give all of them consideration to become a family. We're all here for u!

@mtpbadger Its so hard to make any decisions in IF land. I still dont have it altogether as i'm just going through it. Everything you said is spot on, I've said like all my living right now is this, all the good times, vacations anything fun seem to have vanished. I dont see many friends as I continuously find myself rather being alone or with family. Its really hard and even harder when I thought I was finally there...and then its stolen in only a few short months. I cancelled trips and I'm not sorry for it, but I do get sad about it. Even lost some friends over it. I appreciate your thoughts as I've been there too, I go back and forth some days but still want to try for now. Even all OOP but still giving it a whirl...hope it will work. My OH says that I will be a mother even if we adopt but hes so positive probably cause he already has kids. So many woman have different issues but I want you to know that even through any struggle you remind me to feel lucky and happy whenever I get a good follow up on a sono, lining anything as we need every aspect to be good for this to work.

Ladies with all your knowledge can anyone answer the below...

I just realized I never asked my RE this question and wonder if it a possible. If I go through this cycle and get a whole bunch of embabies to test I almost rather test them right away while doing another IVF round so that when I do the next ER I can have hopefully the results of the first batch in and then still be able do a fresh transfer. I'm sure somehow this will cost me more but is it possible? I feel like with banking they want to send all the samples out together...

@Hopeful_mom I know my clinic has PGS pricing options for a single ER or 2+. $2.5k vs $4k. Does that answer your question or do I misunderstand??

@Hopeful_mom my clinic had a deal with the place that did the testing. We could send up to 8 embryos for testing, regardless if it was all at once or over several cycles for $2200. Any over 8 would be an addition $250, I think. So it may not be extra if your clinic offers something like this. I don't know about cycling again and being ready for a transfer of the normal ones from the first cycle.

AFM: Had my US this morning and I was a bit disappointed. Left is showing 13.5, 9, 7, 5.5, and a 4 (shes being my champion this round) my right had 2 on thursday and now today she just saw one

its maybe at a 7 so we're not sure if its growing or not ugh!!! I'll be adding the cetritide in earlier this cycle starting tomorrow, probably so my 13.5 stays at bay and hopefully the smaller ones can catch up!! Seeing how this cycle is going seems i'm going to have to do another month of this ugh!! Its times like these I wish I could've talked to my younger self to just go freeze eggs!!
Feeling a bit discouraged after todays US. Why couldn't I just still be pregnant with my twins and be done. I think thats the tougher part of having low amh, and being older you're not making 20 eggs to play with, I have to pray I can get 5. I thought EPP would've given me a lil more and its really not so I guess i'm just a lil down about it. AND that 13 can screw up the whole thing. Its sometimes better not being knowledgeable so you don't stress and worry as much through the process!

@rainbowwishes5 Yea my question is confusing. I basically dont want to do an FET and want to see if during my next round of IVF i could do a fresh tranfer with hopefully a normal embryo from the cycle i'm currently on. I think its going to come down to if they can turn around the testing of the embryos in enough time. I think with the way my body is responding right now I have to give in to doing another month of this, I just want to try and get a fresh transfer in vs an FET since I was able to get pregnant with a fresh transfer. UGH too many decisions too make.

@kp214 yes I think my pricing is similar. I'm not as knowledgable on FET, maybe you're body has to be in a different state when excepting a frozen embryo vs a fresh one. When you did your cycle with the PGS, how many cycles did you have to wait to do it?
