@kjd291 Thst is my fear.... I accidentally stock piled more size 1s than I thought and the closer I get to my due date the more nervous I'm getting since I'm measuring 2 weeks ahead as it is.... Haha
I have the opposite problem @kjd291 - I have very few newborn clothes and I'm pretty sure baby girl will be in them at least two more weeks. I do laundry every three days, lol.
Ugh my baby is between NB/0-3mo & I had to have my mother pick up some mitten shirts from Carters as the sleeves aren't long enough on the NB stuff in some of the other brands and she ends up with curled wrists. NB footies present a similar problem but at this point a shit & a swaddle for pants works. I love the A&A swaddles.
I'm also starting to worry about the size of diapers I stockpiled being too small...I only bought 3 things in "newborn" size but I might be returning them if he's gonna be as big as I anticipate. I haven't had any growth checks/measurements since around 24 weeks (when they told me he was ginormous & measuring 3 weeks ahead) so I'm pretty excited to find out how big he's actually gonna be. I think I'll feel less nervous about breaking him if he'll be a bigger baby.
I'm in @longliveregina's boat. DS1 stretched out the NB clothes we have, so A is swimming in everything. And I keep having to buy NB diapers, too. But he has gained 10 ounces in the past week! Up to 6lb9oz now.

I thought LO was going to be way bigger than she was (especially at my last OB appointment I was measuring 2 weeks ahead) so definitely didn't have enough newborn diapers...had to get more. Thankfully have enough newborn clothes, had to buy some more pants because it's too cold right now to just wear a onesie...don't think she will be ready for 0-3 clothes or size 1 diapers for awhile! She has gained over 8 oz in 1 week so hopefully will chunk up in no time

I successfully took on my first solo day today (DH went back to work). It was snowing for the first time in months and my 3 year old had school this morning. Needless to say, I felt like Super Woman after I successfully made it through the snowy pickup and drop off with my newborn in tow. ... if Super Woman didn't brush her teeth or hair.
@longliveregina Same here! I was in denial that Dean needed premie sized clothes even though ALL of his NB sized clothing was baggy and a pain to dress him in. He was 2 weeks early and weighed 6lbs9oz, but now that we own a few premie sleepers.. my life has been made 10x easier!

Same here. My baby was swimming in newborn clothes so she's basically just wearing the same few smaller outfits in rotation
add me to the cold lady with the night sweats club. i wake up drenched!!
DD skipped newborn size too, well she was in them for like 2 days haha. she still fits in NB diapers though so hopefully we will go through the leftovers my neighbor gave us and we can move on to my box of 1s ..but that sounds too convenient haha
Do your worst Stella! All I can hope is the worse the storm is the more likely this child will make her entrance! Only 5 days past due date, but I'm done.
DS has always been a pretty good sleeper. He's also a rather cautious child and doesn't do much climbing or getting into things although that's starting to change. So, at 2.5 he has still been sleeping in the crib. Until now. He learned how to climb into the crib. Of course, I'm not going to wait until he figures out he can climb out of it too. Now I'm due in 4 days and transitioning the toddler to sleeping on a mattress on the floor. I hope this doesn't mess him up too much:(
Uggghh DS1 woke up throwing up. Worried about baby and myself catching it.... also I feel bad for him - he has a fun day at school for tomorrow and I'm going to have to keep him home.
Wow I just had the most frightening experience. I was making my son a bagel and totally thought I owed myself. I rushed to turn on a show for him and raced to the bathroom.
Guys, it was all blood. I soaked through (like through the middle of) an overnight pad in a matter of minutes.
I called my husband, midwife, and mom (in that order). Meanwhile I'm continuing to bleed and pass clots like crazy. Seriously I was being tortured with visions of myself unconscious and bleeding out while my kids watched. Finally (after only like 15 minutes that felt like forever) the nurse called me back. At this point I'm still bleeding bright red, but no more gushing or clots. She told me if it happens again to go to the emergency room, but otherwise to come in for an ultrasound at 9am (when the office opens).
I'm just laying in bed losing my shit (as in crying uncontrollably) now that my husband is home to care for my toddler. What if something more had happened? What would have happened to my kids if I passed out and no one else was home? I feel much better now the bleeding has slowed, but the terror was real.
Moral of the story: toddler moms, seriously, take it easy.
A week after my MMC and D&C last year the same thing happened to me. I thought something was seriously wrong. I was gushing blood and giant clots filling a pad each gush. I went to the ER and they did an ultrasound and didn't see anything at all. It stopped and everything was fine again. Very weird and scary. Hopefully it's nothing for you as well!
@longliveregina One of my biggest fears is something happening to me and it just being me and the boys home. That is so scary, but I'm glad it's slowing down. I'll be thinking about you!

@longliveregina That sounds horrible! I'm so sorry you had such a scare!
I turned 39 weeks today and I'm already tired of TB reminding me I'm the size of a pumpkin every time I open this app! I know that already because I own a mirror, but thanks
Does anyone else sort of hate it when your doc/other asks "having any contractions?" my doctor asks every time and Im always tempted to say "oh yeah, I've been in labor for days". Seems like most women would absolutely NOT neglect to mention having contractions to their doctor ASAP haha. I understand its important to ask just in case, so its bittersweet. And my mom asks every time she calls with this hope in her voice and it kills me to say "none yet!" because I feel even more impatient when I think about it!
My due date is the 25th and DH just told me he has a very important meeting he'll have to fly to utah for the day on the 29th. He's in sales and trying to close a big deal before he can devote his full time to his paternity leave, which Inrationally understand but selfishly I'm just not cool with this. Even if baby is here by then these crazy bleeding stories have me worried I shouldn't be alone for even a day in case something happens. I could probably find a friend to come help but not sure I'll be up for that either so soon Post partum. I did not need this stress right now. For those that have given birth could you have handled things solo for a day 4-5 days postpartum?
@BaylieGirl That would be a hard no from me if my DH wanted to plan a trip that close to my due date. You could still be pregnant at that time and he might miss the baby's birth!
@silverbulletband - I've had some on/off contractions, but I'm not calling my midwife every time. I'll mention it at my appt this week, but I don't think its weird for them to ask.
I've started to get the pity greetings at work. "You're still here? You poor thing!". Yes, I'm still here. I could still be here for 3 more weeks.

The other benefit of the shirt & swaddle is the ease of access to the diaper

Rest ladies. Your family depends on you. This is a marathon not a sprint. Put the chores on hold. It's so hard to sit still, but this story is scary!
