Working with children has ruined basically all names for me. Someone suggests a name and I think, "I knew a little asshole with the same name. I hate the kid already." Also, if I have to hear another name suggestion that rhymes with some version of "Ayden" or ends with -en/an/on in general, I'm will lose it.
I agree on the working with kids and names thing. It's one of the downsides to working in education.
It doesn't help when you add in the names of some truly horrible dating experience names. One of the other detractors of DH and I finding eachother in our early to mid 30's.

Ladies please be careful! Although I would love to see some well-deserved snarky replies, the Bump gods seem overly sensitive lately. I would hate to see some contributing members getting banned over some random bitch.
I'm over them as well, and I made that pretty clear to the baby movement thread poster (feel free to back me up). and to @LivLew point, we need to be careful, but snark can be totally fine, as long as you are still welcoming the person. I think the only time the BGs get angry is when you push a person out or use poor language. But good gifs and the right amount of snark is needed!

I don't like shopping for baby girl clothes. I found shopping for my son to be way more fun. What's up with all the "daddy's girl" stuff? I just think it's weird.

Oooh! Those freak me out too! I just didn't see as many of those shopping for my son. Don't get me wrong, some ARE cute..but the sheer number of them was just really off putting to me. I also saw one that said "daddy's other chick" and that was beyond weird and just grossed me out. I'm not a frilly kind of person so maybe beyond the daddy stuff, I'm just put off by the designs because they are different than what I am used to. Yesss! Lumpy Space Princess is pretty much the best
