Here's my confession. I don't understand people who post any kind of pictures of their kids junk on Facebook or anywhere else online. Like on my timeline this morning a girl I went to high school with shared her anatomy scan photo of her sons penis. REALLY? And the pictures of the naked baby crying on the scale with their junk hanging out. I mean I've got a picture of my naked newborn on the scale too, but it's not shared on my Facebook. It will probably go in an album for him, if I ever remember to print these pictures out. But that's a different confession.. lol.
I confess I just learned yesterday what "Netflix and chill" meant. I took it literally, and have apparently been telling people that me and my two sisters are going to be getting it on. Granted, I think half the college girls I'm friends with misuse the phrase too (Christian college here, can you say "sheltered"?).
I hate snow and only want summer, but if we are going to get snow, I am hoping we get a lot and it comes today. I don't want DD to have to go to her Bio Moms tonight.
@daniellelynette I kind of try to keep up with the slang like "on fleek" and "salty" just so I can understand what my younger siblings' friends are talking about. And they keep me up to date on what words are now dated. Sometimes I like shocking them by using a phrase correctly. I referred to something as "bae" the other day, and my youngest sister was taken aback that I knew that word.
@Msashley2010 oh my gosh that sounds amazing lol yesterday DH let me go grocery shopping by myself while I was hungry. I went straight to the bakery first and got two kinds of cookies and some strawberry rolls, then when I got to the truck I ate half the thing of the strawberry rolls lol lol

That sounds delicious!!!! I've been addicted to pizza rolls too! Lol!
@Msashley2010 I bought a whole box of corn dogs too lol I am so excited. And I got two frozen stuffed crust pizzas even though I know the red sauce gives me horrible heartburn and indigestion.
+1 on the pizza rolls. I think I've nearly eaten a family sized bag on my own. DH tried to get me to buy a bill wheel of cheesecake by saying "the baby wants it." As if he would know lol. Yesterday, I got a box of Peeps and they are nearly gone.
I bought Cadbury eggs the other day and hid them from my 5 year old even though I know they are her favorite. I don't want to share. She can wait until the easter bunny comes.
Here's a confession, I probably won't do much for Easter for DS. He's not old enough to eat candy or look for eggs or understand any stories about what Easter is about. We may do a nice dinner at home but that's mostly for DH and myself. What am I supposed to do for a one year old for Easter? No way he could sit through a church service so that's out... plus (another confession maybe?) DH was raised Southern baptist and I was raised Catholic and we still haven't decided/agreed on what we are going to do for him religion wise. I was baptized at a few days old and he was saved when he was old enough to choose, so we don't really know what to do. We haven't discussed it as much as we should have over the last year... and that's definitely flame worthy lol.
@daniellelynette I completely understand what you mean. Perhaps waiting to make any solid decisions on it is best until you both come to an agreement on what is best for your family. It's definitely something to think about bringing another baby into the mix.
My boyfriend is not religious in the least. I grew up southern baptist but don't go to church anymore and kindof fell off of the wagon. It's interesting because my daughter has developed an interest for religion all on her own without my influence. She requested Jesus books for Christmas and my sister bought her some and we read them together sometimes when she wants to. She asks a LOT of difficult questions.
I've already gained 7lbs (im 15 weeks) and I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the baby and more to do with the cheetos, peanut m&ms, and toaster strudels that have made its way into my daily diet. I used to eat so healthy .
@daniellelynette I totally get this. I was raised Catholic and DH was raised Southern Baptist too. There were lots of conversations before we got married. DH converted to Catholic so its been easier raising our biological kids, but we constantly struggle with the older two kids. They are his from previous marriages so its a bit confusing. They of course have heard horrible things about Catholics from my in laws and they believe all of it.
@daniellelynette My family was a little like this too. My dad grew up Catholic and my mom Southern Baptist, but when they got married, they both started going to an Independent Baptist church. I would say give your child a taste of both, and let him decide what he feels more comfortable with. As for doing Easter, you could dress him up in a cute outfit and get a picture of him. And most Baptist churches (not sure about Catholic) have a nursery option if you and DH did want to go to a service.
My confession: I have only shaved my legs twice since my BFP, and both times it was because I was getting an ultrasound, and didn't want to subject my doctor to my shaggy legs. Poor DH. Hopefully I'll get around to caring about feeling sexy again some day.
@daniellelynette exact same situation. DH was raised Catholic and I was Southern Baptist. DD is 3.5 now and church hasn't really been on our radar in the last couple of years. We've gone a few times, but nothing serious.
Fortunately the basic foundation of Protestant and Catholicism are similar. The area that DH and I just moved to in June is practically 95% Catholic, so I have no idea what to do! I definitely prefer something more non-denominational and DH would be on board with that if we can find something. But we may end up having to go Episcopal or Methodist.
As for DD we just do our best to explain to her what everything is with leaving the "establishment" out of it. She's going to be starting preschool at a Methodist church next week, so I am sure there will be some exposure there.
My FFC is that I might be overly excited to have someone to help me out now that DH is back, and may be asking for help on things I don't need help with just to see how much I can get him to do.
@Ae_Lovely321 I've gained 10 and am 13 weeks. I feel your pain. I'm already heavy to start so I've gained half of what I should over the 40 weeks.
Its March break next week so I'm planning on sending DS to daycare for at least 3 of the 5 days so I can enjoy some well needed quiet time. It will be my last chance until he goes to school in September.
I also just ate sushi for lunch with zero regrets. It was so yummy.
@kailapop i'm the opposite, i've lost weight and I'm "plus size" and my doc today was like "are you eating? you aren't supposed to be losing weight" ...my response was "i'm eating, I just wasn't eating much for a little while, but i'm good."
My confession: I have only shaved my legs twice since my BFP
Hahaha, me too! Literally twice. I've pretty much quit even caring, and DH could not care less. (His response: "when you're naked I have never once thought about your legs." Lol) But.... it's getting warm here. I'm going to have to do something.
My confession: I lurk in different boards discussing baby names just to be like WTF are these people thinking. I actually get giddy whenever someone gets upset that the internet is being judgmental about an insane name choice. If you don't want people to judge your name choice, don't put it on the internet and, especially, don't ask for opinions.

I want to shave my legs more but my leg hair has been stuck in the stupid itchy, prickly, too-short-to-shave-without-getting-razor-burn stage for too long! It's so annoying!

I love these too. If you're going to make up a terrible name that sounds like an STD or the treatment for an STD, you're going to get judged. Even dumb spellings for real names are flameworthy. The YOUNEEK thread on the Baby Names board is amazing.
I'm not throwing DD a birthday party this year. Its a super busy month with weddings, Easter, bachelorette parties, wedding, and wedding showers ... which is really my excuse because I don't want me two bratty nieces coming to my house because they destroy it (literally and figuratively) and their mom and dad just say "kids will be kids." I don't have the energy to piece my home together after they blow through like a hurricane.
I was going to do a jump zone thing and then out for pizza right after, but the nieces have their dance recital the only available Saturday in April... so I *did* put an effort in.
ETA: I will still have cake and presents and invite my MIL/FIL over just for us. So she won't be completely missing out!
@lahearn18 I hear you. I've lost weight, and I'm on the low end of plus size. My midwife said she wants me to gain 15-20lb (HAHAHahahaaaa), and I'm like.. sure. But my appetite has been terrible, thanks to nausea, and while it's better and I'm eating more, it's probably not enough yet. I had a sushi roll last night for the first time in forever, and it was divine. Then my homemade egg, cheese and breakfast bagel had my stomach rolling all morning. No winning here.
FFFC: I miss my sweet, smiley infant. He's been replaced with a 15m toddler that I barely recognize sometimes (for example, he laid on the floor screaming because I wiped his face this morning) and that makes me want to hide in my room until he goes to bed. A big part of this is just pregnancy, but part of it is just not wanting to deal with a toddler. I love him to pieces, but sometimes I just want to hide under the covers.
@SugarRush I don't think you should feel bad at all. My first birthday party was when I was 18. My mom had 7 kids, so it was basically a birthday every month, and apparently the first ones she tried to throw were absolute disasters. So she decided that our birthday parties were family only, and they were made special because we got to choose our favorite dinner and dessert, and then choose a game to play or movie to watch after dinner. I never felt deprived.
@lahearn18 Same. I'm also a low end plus size girl. I'm down about 10 pounds - I want to eat I really do but between nausea and food aversions it's been tough. My snack drawer at work is ready for my return to the food world atany time

YES YES YES. Mine is 14 months and getting his molars... he throws himself down and lays on the floor and screams too. When I wipe his face, when I don't let him eat whatever he finds on the floor (which he has a real talent for, I've taken to vacuuming the floor three times in one go and it's like he hunts for anything he can get into his mouth), when I put him down or don't pick him up, when his food goes into the microwave... sometimes it just gets so draining.
@daniellelynette Yup, *all* of his first year molars are coming in at the same time. All of them. I'm not sure whether to appreciate the fact that it will be over faster or not. I think part of the problem is I saw my sweet, happy, giggling 5m old niece this past weekend, and I was like, oh yeah.. I remember when he was like that! Teething is the devil.
Also, I don't know how they find food on the floor, but they always do. The other day Rhys found a piece of ROCK that one of us tracked in with our shoes, and thought it was one of his snacks or something. I saw him grab it, but thankfully he spit it out once he realized it wasn't actually food. To be fair, though, it was black and looked like a raisin. He lovesss raisins.
LOL @ColoradoHiker at least yours spits out things that aren't food DS has eaten dirt at least twice.. anything he can get into his mouth he tries to eat. It's exhausting. One time he ripped off a big fuzzy piece of blanket and stuffed it into his mouth until he was gagging on it. He doesn't understand that he can't eat just anything... he has eaten a piece of dog food once... I just can't keep up with him lol
Okay, so this is flame-able. In fact I would probably flame myself if it was anyone else. I'm wearing the same pair of underwear (or is it panties?) from yesterday. I wanted to wear a white skirt this morning and realized all my clean underwear have patterns that will show through.
@kailapop i'm the opposite, i've lost weight and I'm "plus size" and my doc today was like "are you eating? you aren't supposed to be losing weight" ...my response was "i'm eating, I just wasn't eating much for a little while, but i'm good."
I'm in this boat too. I've lost almost 20 pounds, and I was overweight to start with. (And, @lahearn18, I must say, you did not look plus sized in your HDBD picture! You looked good, girl!) The doctor said he's not worried just yet, but if I've lost more or haven't gained by my next appointment in 4 weeks, he wants to check my thyroid, and may have me see a nutritionist. It's frustrating, because ever since they put me on a new nausea medicine a month ago, I eat well and frequently- in fact, I'm almost always hungry! Some days I feel like all I do is eat, I can't imagine having to eat more.
