@kailapop I feel like 20 lbs would be hard to keep that. I'm trying not to stress the weight gain but I lost 50lbs 5 years ago and have been able to keep it off until now. I'm scared it will all come back. It was such hard work to get there and I know once the baby is here my time to lose it will be slim.
It's end of the day on Friday and I'm so angry at work and now I'm feeling incredibly snarky about a post (but have yet to engage). SOMEONE TALK ME OFF THE LEDGE.

I'll talk you down! Either that or I'll just encourage you depending on what it's about lol
@HollyGolightly09 I mean sometimes you just gotta let it out! I couldn't help myself with the nub theory post. It's like running into a group of strangers with a photo of your child's genitals and asking what they think. Kinda creepy. This is the internet... I like to think we're a supportive group for the most part but come on, we're all different people, we all have our own thoughts and beliefs and stuff, we aren't ALWAYS going to mesh.
@daniellelynette It is definitely weird! "Help me inspect my unborn child's genetalia!" The thing I don't get about posts like that is... you can read the "theory" just as well as we can. Why do you need our input?
@HollyGolightly09 yes! And the thing is most of the time they've already got their own guess and get mad at people who don't agree. It's lose/lose. @jmn1985 you can pm me if you want!
@bridge-and-wall I do that too! There was one in particular on our post here that I REALLY wanted to say something about, but didn't because our board is nice, and I didn't want to be the douchecanoe who changed that. (I don't think it was anyone who's still around, btw, so I'm not shading anyone here at all!) I still kinda wish I had, it was that bad. I bet if you read the entire thread you know exactly what name I'm taking about.
@SugarRush I usually only got an actual party every other year as a kid. I love a good kids party, but I think the pintrest party trend has probably gone a little too far in mommy culture anyway. Your kid won't remember he didn't get a party, what he will remember is how you made him feel special and loved that day.
@mrsmgsee I may or may not have also done this before. That's what fabreeze and panty liners are for.

@HollyGolightly09@daniellelynette The nub theory post...ugh! I tried to be nice-ish, but merciful heavens, NO! I just wanted to yell "NO ONE HERE IS A DOCTOR AND/OR GOD AND CAN POSSIBLY KNOW WHICH WAY THE NUB WILL GROW!" But I didn't. I thought that might get me a nice little warning, so I restrained myself.
Also, I'm sorry you were stressed after work, HollyGolightly. Working with kids can be so rewarding, but also so stressful. I hope today was better!
@amandarene112 I'm pretty sure I remember the name you're talking about, because I really wanted to say something, but I don't want to be the one to start drama.
@bridge-and-wall Yess... I didn't want to be THAT GUY who said something negative because the names were chosen after the deceased... so I just kind of didn't say anything at all. Our boy name is after my grandpa who passed away on thanksgiving last year and I was actually pretty hurt when my sister told me she didn't like George as a middle name. Not like her opinion matters anyway, I happen to like Landon George. But I digress... I felt like even if I tried to be gentle about it I would still sound mean

Yasssss.
But, I mean, when the name can be clearly divided into 3 separate names.....
@HollyGolightly09 That's exactly what I wanted to suggest. Give the kid three normal names instead of one big mouth full. People do two middle names all the time.
@amandarene112 bahahaha "which way the nub will grow" I mean, really!
Unfortunately, yesterdays stress wasn't even from 6 year olds. It was a mom, who won't take care of her child. Apparently I've been "too concerned" about him so now she sees fit to be a bitch to me about everything under the sun. Ugh!
Lol.... the names thing. Let's just say my daughter will never find her name on a keychain and no one ever pronounces it correctly the first time around.
I've got another confession. Must be a record today. I cannot stand the crazy makeup. This girl on my Facebook sells younique and she's ALWAYS posting pictures of her crazy makeup she does... she tried something called an "ice lip" she apparently saw on Pinterest... her lips actually look like a severely bleached asshole. One time she drew bottom eyelashes on with eyeliner. It looked RIDICULOUS. This girl has probably thousands of followers. But what's with the crazy plastering of twenty different colors on your face in ten different patterns and five different highlighter colors and seven blushes and bronzers and I CANT KEEP UP. WHYYYYY????
@HollyGolightly09@daniellelynette@bridge-and-wall You have no idea how relieved I am that I'm not the only one who thought those things! I was still feeling this board out, so I decided not to say anything, but daaaaaang. That would have been jumped all over on The Bump of yore. I keep hoping I'll se it pop up on the Baby Names board, because I know people there will not hold back.
HollyGolightly, I am so sorry, that really sucks. I worked in a daycare for two years, and I had a few experiences like that, where the child was obviously neglected (I had a kid who didn't start walking until he was 2 1/2 years old. My co-teacher and I literally taught him how to walk.), and the parents were absolutely horrible anytime you so much as seemed to do something nice for their kid. It was awful. I'm sorry you're having to put up with her. Since you can't have wine, maybe some ice cream will help!
@Sugargirl1019 I believe the name was Alexandrew, or something to that effect. I actually didn't go back and look I just remember being all "huh?". Someone DID question it, but I'm not sure who...
I'm still trying to figure out the flame worthy stuff from recently besides the nub theory girl lol I remember the name thing but not the actual name she created.
@HollyGolightly09 I've got a decent amount of makeup too but I just can't handle the weird makeup trends like rainbow neon and the crazy lips and it's all just so much
Also, I think we're easing into our edge a bit. We've been together for two months, if someone gets salty with a regular, I don't think we'd stand for that. Also, the more pregnant I get, the fewer fucks I have to give, and I'm willing bet I'm not the only one. I'm justifying it by saying that everything my body used to put into keeping my natural sass at bay is going towards making a baby now, so I can't be held responsible.

I don't get all the crazy makeup, either. And that's coming from a girl with 14 tubes of mascara (after I gave 8 away to DH's nieces...).
