WTF to some random lady in our parking garage. On Monday I was walking to my car and some stranger literally yells from her car at me "OMG WHO DID THAT TO YOU?!" ....I'm guessing she means my giant pregnant stomach so I awkwardly smile and waddle faster to my car. She yelled it so. loud. Like what in the hell is wrong with people??
WTF ultrasound tech. First you skip over me, then you tell me repeatedly how huge my baby is, then you tell me you can't wait to go home and drink. GFY. You don't say that in front of a severely pregnant mom of 2 toddlers with GD that can't even drink the fake stuff. I have never wanted to punch someone so hard in my life.
WTF to the guys installing a new heating system into our building. They thought just before 8am was a good time to shut off the hot water. They had warned they might need to turn off all of the water, but they had no idea when... just sometime on Tuesday-Friday at some point in the day. Like... I have kids here to take care of not to mention I have water intake needs. You can't just freaking turn off the water randomly and not even say for how long. SIL was just getting into the shower when the hot water was turned off. Also, our heat is going to randomly be turned off and they said it would probably be turned off all night. I just can't deal with this this week.

WTF to my boss. He means well, but he's just so oblivious sometimes haha. I went upstairs to his office (3rd floor) to ask a question regarding a case. He asks me to get the client on the phone for him. Okay, no biggie. So I walk all the way back downstairs to my desk, get the # and call the client. I put the client on hold and paged my boss to let him know she was on the line for him. He said "okay great! Come back upstairs since I want you to listen in on the convo". Really dude, we could have just called her from your office from the beginning instead of making me hobble up and down 2 flights of stairs. I swear I sounded like I just ran a 5k by the time I got up there haha.
WTF to people (mostly people at my work) commenting on my size again. Seriously people I know I am big, I don't feel the most attractive right now and I'm really tired so PLEASE stop telling me EVERY SINGLE DAY how much bigger I look even from the day before. It's not fun anymore to hear and I can only stay polite for so much longer and laugh it off. That time is quickly coming to an end and I don't want to ruin any friendships because of what I may mouth off and say! You have ALL been pregnant before and know what this is like and I'm sure wouldn't have appreciated the comments either. Oh and covering yourself at the end by saying "that's good though it means she's growing and healthy" does NOT help dismiss what you just said. Oh, and I really don't mind them touching my stomach but the other day one of them was poking at my belly button thinking it was funny that it was sticking out. I was like "um ok, that's weird" and shifted so they had to stop.
This is really where I wish I had enough time saved to start maternity leave early just so I didn't have to deal with these comments. Plus now after my appointments "how was it? are you dilated at all??" Really?!
I cannot believe so many of you are getting belly size comments! Maybe because I'm carrying small, I get a pass. I also suffer from perpetual Resting Bitch Face so, that might keep people away. Seriously, I hope all you ladies have snarky comebacks for these fools. They deserve to feel awkward.
My WTF is the weather. Its rain and 40f one day; sunny and 70f the next. Its hard enough to dress around my 3T body without trying to plan for every weather pattern out there. I have not gotten it right one day this week.
@mylittleirvz I never understood why being pregnant makes people think it's socially acceptable to comment on someone's size. And asking if you're dilated after appointments... holy crap that's so invasive. So sorry you have to deal with this
@mylittleirvz If someone started messing with my belly button I would seriously slap their hand away. Seriously awkward! My belly button is really prominent because I have a mole inside it which is now sticking waaay out and making it look like it protrudes even further than normal. Bandaids help but sometimes they rub against the mole too much and irritate it.
@jennielynn+ I get the opposite- "I can't believe you're 36 weeks you're so small" which is almost as annoying (and during the week between being told that my fundal height was low and getting an ultrasound to check size it was a great reminder of my fear of an underweight baby...).

@dannylion24, a lot of them are "older" (60s) women who are mom/grandma type figures who I think feel that fact gives them free reign to do/say what they want. I love them all to pieces but it's seriously getting a little aggravating...
@mylittleirvz yes to everything you jusT said. I've vented on here many times about people making comments about body size throughout my entire pregnancy. It's not okay and worst of all, like you said, it comes from people who have been there and KNOW what it's like. So why make comments when they remember what it was like to feel huge, self conscious, irritable, exhausted, etc. So sorry you had to deal with all of that today
My wtf today... wtf to my doctors office who is running 40 mins late so far. I've never had to wait more than 5 mins at an appointment, which I feel very lucky for. But I have a chiro appt after this (actually, 10 mins ago) and have a ton of work to get done tonight. This is taking away precious work time that I already don't have enough of!
And now we aren't supposed to drink the water, maybe up to 24 hours. Um, so I can't just not drink water for 24 hours. Not to mention we have two kids up here who also need to drink water. What the hell. DH has just been sent down to talk to them and straighten this out.

So there was brown water coming out of our pipes. DH went to talk to the guys about this. They said (and I quote here), "the water is probably fine to drink." So yeah. DH is now going to the store to buy me some water to drink for the next couple days. I guess it is just sediment and buildup that is coming out, but I'm not sure I am ready to risk the life of my unborn baby on that guy's confident answer.

@HGRich Yeah, it is just awesome. Our building has like a 60 year old heating system or something, at least that is what I overheard them saying yesterday. And they couldn't wait one more month for us to be out of here.

WTF DH...last night we had a brief conversation in which I lamented the fact that my MIL has to come so early to make the birth that she won't be able to stay long to help with baby afterwards. I've been talking to him about how I wish she'd stay longer for a while, but we have no family in town and really need her to watch DS when I'm in labor, especially since we had to transfer to the hospital and it was a train wreck even without a little person to care for and make sure he's safe and comfortable and entertained. He needs his grandma here. So...somehow he completely misunderstood, called her today, and told her to come later!!!!!????
Also, WTF woman at Costco who saw me and my husband part ways in the food line, him leaving with my placid, happy toddler in the cart to find a place to sit, and she tapped me on the shoulder and says GOOD LUCK. It took me a few seconds to realize she means because she sees I'm pregnant and noticed I also have a toddler.
WTF co-worker who cannot chew with your mouth f-ing closed! I have mentioned her on this board previously, but I don't know if I can take another 8 weeks of this. Sometimes, I go and sit out in my car while she is eating, so so I don't have to hear it. In almost every other way, she is a dream to work with, but this is freaking disgusting!!!! Just close your damn mouth when you eat! I'm about to lose it!!!!
@catem07 Oh yes, I expect that to be coming this weekend at a wedding shower I'm going to. I measured behind all 9m of my 1st pregnancy and had a thriving 6.12 baby. They can all shove it. I'm still sleeping happily on my tummy so, small belly win. They all feel the same coming out.
Just plain WTF. I just got an email informing me that my leave of absence has been approved but I don't qualify for FMLA because I'm part time and haven't worked enough hrs in the year leading up to my leave. I also have to use all of my sick days while I'm on leave so for the rest of the year I have to use my vacation days if anyone gets sick. Which with two kids someone is gonna get sick and I only have 5 vacation days. Just another reason I don't wanna come back here after I have her. Why can't I just be independently wealthy? It would make things so much easier.
Wtf MIL. She came over to babysit today before I left for work and when she came in the house today she goes to DD and says "hi Anna!" Anna is new baby's name not DD's. Then she whispers "don't worry we'll play Anna as soon as mommy leaves". The whole thing was so weird and made me even more worried about the transition when baby gets here because now she's apparently treating DD like a baby when we're not around? Not to mention when I came home from work I had to tidy DD's room again because she takes her in there to play, lets her pull out every single toy/book/whatever and then leaves it in a huge mess...every single time she comes over
@Virginialeigh my company actually has a policy that you have to use up all your sick and vacation time while on FMLA... Thank God that's illegal in my state (we're based out of TX, but I live in MA). I can't imagine having zero time off for 6+ months. What do they expect us to do?!?
@Ekzerr that is really bizarre to me, and I agree, it could make the transition a little harder for DD. Also, leaving that kind of mess for you, in general but especially while you're in your last trimester, is totally not cool. I would definitely ask her about the whole "playing Anna" thing if you can. That sounds like something my MIL would totally do, thankfully she lives 5hrs away
Ok I got some clarity on that weird comment from my male coworker (above) about twins. A female coworker was feeling my belly (she asked first, thank goodness) and he walks by and says "twins?" again. I rolled my eyes and said "still no!" He said "ok well that's just the rumor I heard!"
So either he's being ridiculous and trying to start one, or he's actually heard that from someone. I don't know. But what on earth, and do I seriously look like I'm having twins? No. I do not. And why would I lie about it? So weird.
Another wtf from my boss. When we were discussing my upcoming maternity leave, he says "man, I wish I could just up and take 2 months vacation". I side-eyed him so hard I gave myself a headache.
@pammasu0909 the hr lady finally got back to me after week and said they just started what they call "baby bonding time" this year. So I have 10 days that I can use any time within the first 6 months after the baby is born. That will make up for the 10 sick days I'll be giving up but I'm really thinking about just making my maternity leave 10 days longer.

Older male coworker stops me in the hall on the way to my four hundredth bathroom break: "Twins, huh?"
Me: "what?"
Him: "twins?"
Me: "um, not that I'm aware of!"
Him: *chuckles and walks away.*
WTF was that about?
